Barcrest - Weird Wolf - 30p - £25 - Mpu5 Thanks to @Reg for Playtesting. This machine should be good to go although there wasn't much to go by to create the layout. Possible failed test machine, it also has quite a few lamping glitches, more noticeable in attract mode. Enjoy.

  6. Does anybody else, watch these incredible videos, and just smile, with a lovely warm comfort feeling? Can't wait to have a play with this. I mean, having a mixed arcade, having a mpu4 arcade, having an £100 area, or £500 area, or loads of lotechs areas or whatever, it's superb it really is.

  9. Pinball Fever Yes again, BUT..this time with the correct sounds (even though they still have a Pinball Wizard vibe about them). Also it's Pooks/Dadsfme version, which was my preferred version and I finally got to convert, via the v2 conversion tool in conjunction with MFME v1.1, v5.1, v6.1. Key shortcuts are in the notes and as ever I take no credit for the layout, but have made some alterations to take advantage of MFME features not available in JPEMU. It will work on V6.1, but haven't been able to test it on v20.1, but should work. Pinball Fever.zip

  10. I hope this is ok to post here, because 3 attempts at fruit-emu to post it and although it sometimes shows, it just keeps disappearing. I've had enough of dicking around. If not ok, I won't take offence at it's removal and won't post similar again. Anyway it's a JPEMU conversion of Pinball Wizard 1280 dx which was made by Pook, currently for MFME we have no larger layout than 1024, so thought it worth doing. pinballwizardwdx3.zip

Hiya, welcome to my newest release, Holy Smoke. Firstly, thanks as always to the late and great Wizard for his amazing and fantastic emulator. To @wearecity for letting me release it and his brilliant classic layout and the effort made for this machine. I hadn't realised the reels weren't the same as the arcade machine until @wearecity kindly pointed it out and suggested I improve it if I could. I'm not the best at graphics drawing but I hope you like what I've done with it. If there are any things that should be lit that aren't, please let me know and I'll try and update it. Hope you're all well and safe! Love and hugs to you all!!!

  14. Thanks bud It's such slow work but there will be a pre-Alpha tester release at 'some point' so people can finally have a play with the project so far. There's still a lot to do to get to that stage, so I guess maybe tentatively a couple more months to have something people could try out... For instance I've spent all afternoon finishing up a part missing from my custom Delphi font scraper as it couldn't differentiate between I and l in the Delphi font (uppercase 'i' or lowercase 'L'). I now need that ability in order to re-add Coin mech support back to the optimised data layouts. I swear hours just vanish! But, there's progress all the time, it'll get there Hopefully get those coin mechs actually working again tomorrow...

  17. Right going to call the Eclipse cab done enough, since it's not perfect anyway, so not worth more work (these will all end up getting remade again later when I have more 3d modelling skills). Added remaining black panels, added coin tray at bottom, upped black slightly so these things are actually visible, fixed issue with missing reels: Frees me up to look at getting the JPM Vogue cab to acceptable relative scales/overall scales (so everything is about the right real-world size), then adding back in support for inserting coins on the newer machines (that no longer works after optimising away most of the old contents of the data layouts) - now this data needs populating by the converter:

  20. Hi Guys. Seeing as my mini cab is still going strong after well over half a million plays, and I am still progressing with it, I thought I would do a quick update as I have recently done a few upgrades. My main upgrade was a massive TV stand with a 100kg load limit, and adjustable height: Cost 2550 Baht (60 Quid). I then added my Cheapo (6,999 Baht 166 Quid) 43" TCL 4k smart TV, only to find out that the upscaling is none existent. So unlike my 55" Samsung, it is only as good as the layouts permit. Next I added a 12v tower lights from China, and sprayed it chrome: Cost 230Baht (a little over a Fiver). Eventually I will add another Pacdrive/relays to illuminate it via specific bulbs in MFME, as my other Pacdrive is maxed already with my buttons. My next step is to build an adjustable shelf for the buttons, which clamp on to the twin spine of the TV stand, and add 2 coin mechs where the speakers are. Eventually this will split off in to a new cabinet so I will have 2 MFME cabs. Hopefully this will give some of you some ideas and inspire you to be creative:)

  21. I don't have a photo to provide I'm afraid but I just wanted to add a note. I'm nearly 40 years old now, and I'm sat in my bedroom having a chuckle saying to myself 'I'm oot-a here' playing Andy Capp, just like I did when I was many years younger growing up living in a pub. It means more than it probably sounds like it should to me, and it wouldn't be possible without you Wizard/Chris. Take it easy my man.

  22. Here's one, I can't find on MFME, but was mentioned earlier in the thread. Pinball Fever by Crystal Leisure. As usual with me, there's a story behind the conversion lol. There are 3 DX's available for JPEMU. None of them have the correct sound roms, so I don't think they are available. This one uses Pinball Wizard sounds, the other two, Arcadia sounds. Pooks DX, converts, but MFME v5.1, throws up one of those nasty 0xx00000000 errors, when trying to load it in. A 1024, by Hurtland, which converts, loads up, but obviously is pretty small (could be done/upload if anyone does want it). A 1280 by RB, with pretty decent artwork (but with a caveat). I've gone with the RB one here, so all credit goes to him, I merely went through the pain of converting it. The caveat, is the cabinet appears to be from a Spanish JPM machine, so although not difficult to work out, I've moved the collect to the green button and the cancel button is just cancel. All the usual keyboard shortcuts can be used anyway. Overall if sound roms are available, I reckon a very good modern DX could probably be made here. Albeit, the machine is pretty terrible, not helped by the £25 jackpot, being far too big. Pinball Fever - JPEMU conversion.zip

  38. Duke of Lancaster Wales For these that have drove up the north wales coast as a child and seen the big ship docked next to the market and wounded what it was about. Its rusting hulk lies off the Welsh coast like an abandoned ghost ship ready for the breakers yard. But the dream that brought the Duke of Lancaster to its spot at Llanerch-y-Mor in 1979 was a million miles removed from its current sorry state. The ship was to be a floating leisure and retail complex called The Funship. It was hoped it would become one of the region’s top tourism attractions. But instead of happy tourists roaming its decks and taking in the seascape, the intervening 37 years have brought mostly stagnation for the ship amid a row between its owner John Rowley and the local authority. With plans in place for a hotel conversion (which never materialised), and kitted out with various attractions, including an arcade covering the whole of the car deck, the Fun Ship quickly became a popular tourist attraction, creating jobs and bringing wealth to the local area. But the fun wasn’t to last long. A very complicated and fraught legal fight began with the local council who feared its presence would decimate local businesses. Its use as “The Fun Ship” was relatively short-lived and it was subsequently closed to the public; supposedly because access to the ship is via a bridge under the North Wales railway line, which was too low for emergency vehicles – a technicality disputed by the owners throughout the battle What this meant was that amongst all its other other inventory, over 50 arcade machines from the golden era were sealed shut inside the ship. Over time, the derelict ship started to rust, and became largely forgotten about, known only to locals as the beached ship by the coast. No one went there, no one cared. The owners stated they had no plans to sell. It was literally a metal tomb. And so it quietly sat, holding its cargo. Fast forward to 2009, and some folks over at the 28dayslater website, an urban exploration community, posted a series of pictures supposedly taken from inside the vessel. For those that don’t know, ‘Urbex’ is a pastime where people gain access to old abandoned buildings and explore, taking pictures along the way. Someone had managed to gain access to the inside of the ship in the middle of the night. Amongst the set of haunting pictures they took was a single tantalising glimpse of the stash of cabs: A picture of some of these machines surfaced on an urban explorer website and was spotted by arcade machine enthusiasts. Oliver Moazzezi, a member of arcade machine enthusiast forum www.ukvac.com, then began trying to track down the owners. Oliver said: "I spent eight months trying to contact the owners of the place I could see the games in. I phoned the council, I phoned the Post Office (yeah I really did!) in the town and phoned everywhere, each time getting another clue in the puzzle that would lead me to the owners of this place that had the games in. I finally contacted the owners in January 2011 after going through the said local councils, local shops (you name it) and finally got in contact with a family member. Met by the owner at the ship, Oliver and two friends were let in and eventually discovered the arcade. Oliver was blown away by the discovery. He told The Arcade Blogger: "I couldn’t believe all these games had been here and then one day in 1983 the ship was shut not to be opened again due to legal issues. These games saw year after year of summers and winters through the port holes, the sun rising, the sun setting, FOR THIRTY YEARS. It took another eight months of going back and forth with the seller to arrange to get the machines off the ship. A price was agreed but then Oliver was given 10 days to remove them or lose them. So the net result was that one by one, over 50 classic arcade machines were saved, and the team pulled off what is considered the most audacious arcade raid ever carried out here in the UK. These cabs are now in the safe hands of collectors across Europe and are in the process of being repaired and restored. And this is the essence of the hobby – finding, rescuing and restoring these early games. Nice little story Quotes taken from links down below. https://arcadeblogger.com/2016/05/06/arcade-raid-the-duke-of-lancaster-ship/ https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/explorers-huge-abandoned-ship-welsh-11403118

  40. Here's another machine, I can't find an MFME version of. A classic layout, of Football Crazy £10 25p play. I don't know who produced the JPEMU version, but Duplu uploaded it to Fruit-Emu. The number reel contains text about pass right and left, which is difficult to see, but is pretty irrelevant anyway from what I can tell. Other than that, it functions 100%. Had to alter a few things, due to the conversion tools, not converting certain items. Other than that, just the regular MFME enhancements. Some of you are probably saying, why is he bothering to convert a small, old classic layout. Well I'm just trying to find and convert machines, which I can't find a layout already available for MFME. Who knows, it may help and lead to big and better layouts for the machines in the future. For instance, the lamps and button numbers are already worked out for a potential DX'r in the future. 44. Here's Viva Rock Vegas Club by POOK. 50p Play £1000 Jackpot. Or to give it's proper name The Flintstones - Viva Rock Vegas Club. Not the first appearance on MFME, as Vecs did a 1024dx of this. This is at 1280 res. Everything seems to be functioning correctly. It's another one that wouldn't convert using v3.0 of Pete's conversion tools. So needed to go via the v2.0 conversion tool and MFME v1.1 route to get it to work. So if you are having trouble with v3.0 of the tool, try v2.0 before giving up. vivarockvegasclubWDX_(JPEMU_CONVERSION).zip

  46. Just in case anyone missed it from the DIY fixes thread at fruit-emu, here the post and another one. Your Lucky Knight 1280 DX by Pook. We only had a 1024 DX for MFME for this, so was keen to convert a 1280, really high quality Pook dx. This proved to be easier said than done. Warning, waffle follows below...but hopefully useful info for those looking to convert. Normal way of converting is to use FMECONV 3.0 and then load in bits and pieces via MFME v5.1 and then save, so it opens in v6.0, not with this bugger though. Trying to load the converted .dat file into every MFME version from v1.1 to v5.1 gave an invalid layout error or a violation error. Only way I could convert it in the end was to use FMECONV 2.0, which converts it into a .res not .dat file and then use the 15 year old MFME v1.1 emulator, which is the last emulator to allow loading of .res files. But as v1.1 doesn't support Impact, I couldn't use v.1.1 to do anymore than to save it into .dat format. After that, the .dat file was openable in v5.1, the layout was set up and saved in v.5.1 and it now opens in v6.0. Phew... yourluckyknightwdx.zip

  47. The attached version was the MFME version, I'd deleted the jpemu conversion version after seeing there was a MFME version already. Not sure if you saw Vec's message above. Tommy said checkboxes 61 - 65, Vec said 64 and 67. Adding just checkboxes 64 & 67, checking them as well as clearing the checks out of hoppers 1 & 2 and then reloading the layout and it paid out on the original MFME attached version................Jpemu version below, which also works with checkboxes 64 & 67 added. Here is the JPEMU conversion, which is slightly better IMO. Adding 64 and 67 also has worked with this version. Sorry for any confusion lol. Sonic_The_Hedgehog_-_JPEMU_Conversion.zip

  48. Here another debutant on MFME. The Reel Thing DX by Cheese. The machine artwork used was Crystal Leisure's but the roms are ACE roms. The machine works absolutely fine and it's a twist on the similar JPM and ACE machines of the time, the way the features are done, a la watch for my hidden treasure style. Cheese notes on the side of the layout, give some issues with the original layout and they are still present after conversion. I cannot find a button number for the auto nudge to the features, but you can hit collect anyway and nudge manually. The_Reel_Thing.zip
