  4. Thank you Vectra... playing these £5 Jackpot machines is more true to my real life experience of the arcades, as i'm tight with money and would go for the cheapest games to play which often meant a low jackpot too such as this one... I remember the last straw for me was when machines went to 25p play ,( and then 30p play was taking the pi$$) - that was it for me in terms of playing fruity's in the pubs... I like lots of plays for little cash - i was never worried about winning, it was just the pleasure of playing and hearing the wierd and wacky sounds (and all the flashing lights) - that was what i liked anyway. Cheers, Gary.

  15. As I said previously, there was an issue for a short while to do with a Windows update. The thread above was about it. Hopefully the info in it will help. @Clo06 what Windows version are you running, may also give an indication of what it should definitely work on. Works fine for me on a fully updated version of Windows 11.

  20. Wow! I have never heard of a 2 reeler before! Love it! I have been to an admeral casino before in Banbury but not that often, now I use the games room that has classics like party time bullion bars, the usual classics, all 3 reelers I believe and the odd 5 reeler £500. It's nice to actually see the samples listed too as in electrocoin machines based on the same samples don't allow this. Would love to see more of these 2 reelers emulated now. It's certainly not boring me at least, I've been having tons of fun with it. Thanks a lot!

  23. Yep that no 5 was a right pig to blend etc with the flash on it also removed your fingers from the main board, might slap it on 90% see if it plays better

  24. Or the top box showing green edging A. Edit mode, window/ Original Size / borderless mode if only the top box loading then you’ll need to load them all and manually B. firstly open mfme 1. load top box.gam, this will open just the top box part. 2. next open another instance of mfme and load “slave 1.gam this should bring up slave 1 on screen, if so position it to where it should be next , for the other three slaves, repeat step 2. If successful you should see a top box and four units in their relevant positions, If they show green edges follow stage, A.!! For each slave unit if they look like what’s shown in the uploaded image above you’ve done good, finally press Alt + L this will link the machines to the top box this is done so when you open this again via mfme you only need to open the top box.gam and the rest should follow. This is written via phone so may not be totally correct

  26. Wow! Cheers @woodsy I still remember making my absolute bodge of a classic for this - way back in 2007. Remember (mainly watching my mate play this) in Nobles on Margate seafront, way back in 1997 - 1998 i think. Ahh Nobles! - I loved it in there... loads of plays on Daytona USA (4 players linked up) - strutting my stuff on Dance Dance Revolution - it had a cafe in there too... 10p tea! Sausages, beans, 2 eggs and chips (and a tea) for about £3. Shame the bloody place burnt down, it was my absolute favourite arcade ever.... take me back to '98 pleeeeaassseee!!!!

  29. Thanks for the fantastic layout @vectra666! Brings back some memories. As someone who played one too many of these, a couple of potentially interesting notes: There's a couple of invincible modes - one is the really obvious Mega Streak & Logo flashing at the beginning of the feature, and there's a second which involves the logo doing a weird multi-coloured flash before the first gamble on the cash trail. The subsequent gamble will win and the feature will eventually hit Mega Streak assuming you don't go against gambles etc. The middle-reel Bonus will occasionally give Super Stop which does go to £100 the first time, much like many other Betcoms of the time. If the cashpot doesn't reset after the Mega Streak (which it often doesn't if it's only £100) then keep playing and you can probably get another decent win (usually about £50, maybe £100? I can't remember) before it resets. I think that once it's reset, there's no value left. Someone who knows a lot more than I did could probably correct me here. Also, it's possible to get stuck on the inner ring for ages when it's an invincible board which is quite tiresome when you're actually after the Super Shots. Oh, and sometimes the logo stays red while you're on the outer boards in the feature; during which time I think it's impossible to end up with a Game Over. It often switches back after hitting a question mark (which hasn't killed you), but at least you know when you're in danger.

  30. Hiya. Congratulations and thanks for your second release. Playing it reminded me of when I was doing my first releases and I pushed myself with each one to get better and better. The only criticism is that the layout is quite small and difficult to see. When I do the full screen of it, it blurs a lot of it (normal for small layouts that are stretched to full screen). My early releases did that and my older laptop wasn't very good resolution and kept crashing on me. Feedback I received when I started doing mine was to start off with a large layout, as big as you can and the best quality you can find. My early ones sometimes were made up of 2 or even 3 images where I put the middle on top of the bottom then the top on top of that. I learned various other things with GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) that makes it easier to edit them as well. Keep up the good work and learning is always good

  34. Thanks, I was getting a bit bored with it halfway through but when I found out the things that were missing from the original, I realised I could make it better. I liked the previous version with the Volcano colours on the side but think that this is more authentic and the amount of editing I've done is crazy lol. The arrows had light bulbs on before so I edited them to try and get rid of them because they didn't look right when the light wasn't on but you could still see them a bit.

  37. Yeah reason for small layouts are because so many people use laptops or PCs with low spec, and they can freeze/crash or no sync up in multiplayers. Hence single machines I tend to do them larger, and do the Multiplayers smaller to both fit on a screen comfortably and run smoothly

  41. Looks good @vectra666 I have AI upscaled those new reels, and updated the layout with those new high definition reels, looks much sharper (especially on portrait monitor or 4k monitor) - here's the zipped layout, only updated the 4x reel images, not touched anything else, so hopefully easy to update your release: Add a Note £4 Dx+UpscaledReels.zip Very nice work, with the new buttons, the original ones on the bottom were practically blank I remember!

  45. To turn the volume up, tick to open the S door, then when it's initialised and says refill, hit cancel. Then click on test (you may need to do it a few times). It'll go into test mode. Use the change stake button until it says 8.2 Volume, then press the start button. Use Collect/Cancel, Hold 1, to turn the volume up and down. Then press start when finished. Untick the S door to go back to normal play.

  47. Glad your new laptop is working good Have you tried adjusting the speed of the touchpad (I think you mean how fast the cursor moves when you move your finger across the touchpad)? I always change mine so it's quite quick and I also have the enhance pointer precision enabled as well.
