You pretty much only need 2 templates. One for tube based payouts and one for hopper payouts. All your physical buttons etc are going to be the same for all. Nothing has really changed set up wise since you helped invent it.

Yes you could. If you took lots of hi resolution photos of your machine switched off and also all lit up, I’m sure there would be a clever bod here who could do a fantastic layout for you!

If you use 20.1 and are connected to the internet, the emulator should download any missing roms. Keep your game (machine) folders in one place, e.g layouts, and point the emulator to your layouts folder in preferences. It should find your games automatically.

Many thanks. There is a slight problem in that you have 3 melons in the paytable twice. One for £3 and one for 80p. The 3 bells should also be 80p not £1. Tis very pretty though. -
I see from your introduction post that you used mfme a long time ago. Are you trying layouts from way back that you had from before? Older layouts use .dat files and newer layouts (after v6) use .gam files. You can convert old layouts, but they should be in the download section anyway. If you have downloaded all your machines from here just ignore me, and do what was said above.

Short answer, yes. Long answer is you can build one with flashing buttons, money in and money out. You can install coin mechs, hoppers and even note acceptors. There is a cabinet building section on this site, have a look in there. There are bits about all aspects of building a cab and even full on build guides.

How did you get on with this? Ever since someone(!) brought out an igme emulator, this would be an awesome addition to my setup.

I’m away from home at the moment. I’m really looking forward to having this on my cabinet. Lit up buttons and payouts, oh yes! Can this one please not get banned until after I can get home tonight. Thanks for all your hard work on this one.

I might be wrong, so if anyone knows better, please chip in. As far as I was aware, once you hit the 4 rep points, you reached the stage where you could download. Did you try and download anything before doing this post? Either way, I think you are covered now. -
Go to the cabinet building section on this site. Loads of builds, some build guides and a ton of information. Guides by @WibbleWobbleor @cja272have some great tips.

Donating has gone back to free downloads forever. Start with a tenner. It has to be verified by the site admin, then you get your donators badge, then you can download without limits. There was a time when donating only gave you free downloads until the end of the year, but Pete put it back to free downloads forever. You have to use the email that you used to sign up to DIF to donate.

Great news. I know setting up hoppers can be frustrating at the best of times, but setting up a broken one is impossible, but you keep on trying! I’ve done it myself, you think maybe it’s a cable, a connection, is it the common ground earth? It can take its toll, so very happy you got it to work. Can you put a picture of your cab up? It’s always nice to see what people have done.

That setting depends on the machine you are playing in mfme. Newer machines (mpu5 mostly) will use hopper 1. Older machines that used tubes to pay out will use the triac hopper settings. As for grounding, I believe you need to have a common ground, ie all -ve need to be joined together. @WibbleWobble is that right mate?
