  1. I have realised what you meant and have just sorted it. I'll do an update when I make sure there's nothing else that needs doing
  2. I've not got that many left either!!!!
  3. You have a go if you like because I've got 3 pipelined already for someone (although I'm having difficulty finding layout for one of the old ones).
  4. Thank you for this, loved this game in the arcades. I may do a DX on this at some point, unless someone's already doing one?

I am especially pleased with this as I did a lot of editing from a picture that had a long lighting stripe on and other parts where the light covered the images. I made it darker as the original was a bit too light and didn't show the lighting up very well. I saw a video on YouTube where it had a note inserter that had pulsating coloured LED lights on and looked nice but it currently isn't emulated and I think it might be too distracting. I haven't done any fancy stuff on it like I did the others as I didn't think it needed any as it has Neon lighting at the top, red changing reels and plenty of other lights to keep the eyes athetically pleased looking at it. As always thanks to Wizard for the awesome MFME emulator and Slasher for the excellent DX version initially. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed learning about the updates to the graphics etc.
  6. Is this a mute version? I had no sound.... sorry for sounding silly but thought I'd just ask..
I've not played this before but have found a couple of images of the machine that I'm currently looking at and wanted to confirm that I'm okay to do a DX of it. I know the machine is locked, so I can't change the text, but here's what I've got to so far. Please let me know either way
  7. Awesome. I've never played this before but love the layout and the effort that's gone into it Many thanks for the release. I noticed that there's lots of -1 lamp numbers listed and wondered how you allocate them to a particular number? I'd try 32 first as the Hold 1 button is number 33?
  8. Thank you, I prefer it too. I think it shows the lights much better
  9. Thanks. I tried it by increasing the contrast a lot but everything went too black and it lost a lot of detail so I used less increased contrast and decreased the brightness a lot more. I saw a video on YouTube with someone playing it in the dark and thought it looked better than the light one

Here's the first finished version I did then I decided to do the night/dark version. I thought I'd post this one in case anyone didn't like the dark version. Thanks to Wizard for MFME and Johnnyafc for the classic version. Enjoy and please will you let me know which is your favourite version? Thanks

Welcome to my DX version of Mario Kart 64. I have never played the machine in the arcades but I saw a video on YouTube to try and get an idea what the lights looked like on the machine when it was running. My biggest concern and thoughts about it was how on earth am I going to do the parts that run round the gameplay and get them to look like the same lighting without any bits missing. I sorted this by lightening the image of the crops on the machine itself in GIMP and then using each one to mark the end of the previous one. I thought it would take the longest but when I got into it, it only took around 8 hours to do altogether. Anyhow, as always, thanks to Wizard for MFME and Johnnyafc for doing the Classic layout. I have got a lighter version of this as well and will upload it but I think I prefer this version

93% of the way complete..... Not perfect by any means but I'm quite happy with the way it's turning out so far.... :D

I'm hoping to have it completed by the end of the week.... the curvy bits around the gameplay are going to be a bit tricky as I've got to get them to work without any gaps....

Great game and it plays just like the real thing.... (I know it will do but I spent about £25 in it and won a quid back lol). Seriously though, it's got some very nice features and I hope someone (perhaps myself one day) will do a DX of it Thank you for posting it
  13. Nice little machine. Never played it myself either but I think you've done a great layout. Thank you
  14. I wish I could find a machine to pay mine....
  15. Glad you liked it. I thought i could have done better and I realised some things afterwards that I could have improved so I may revisit it soon when I finish my current project (Mario Kart 64) .... oh and Super Red Bar needs the buttons updating as well.... sigh It's been too hot to work on laptop today
  16. Nice release Hard to imagine it was as long ago as 1987!!!! How times have come on Thanks for sharing it
  17. WOW! I did my first 2 recently and please may I ask, how did you manage to get the lighting effect for the icons? I've tried it in GIMP but it just expands the icon as though something is pushing it from behind, not lighting round like yours does. Absolutely love how you've done it and for a first attempt, I'm very impressed with it Many thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more layouts from you in the future I found that the wheel freezes on my laptop as well but it's years old so that's probably why.
  18. Love the graphics on this. Well done and thanks
  19. Here's my next project, Mario Kart 64.

Not sure how long it will take me but hopefully I'll finish it by the end of the week.

  20. Never played this before, the only Chequered Flag I have played was on the ZX Spectrum and more recently on the emulator. Quite a nice game though
Love the layout and the fact the lights fade on the attract mode. What I did notice was thought that if you insert more than 5 pounds, you get an alarm. Resetting the statistics works okay though
  21. You're very welcome, it's a pleasure to share it
