  1. @davep180 You are welcome, I am actually really enjoying documenting again the steps I took. This process and the release of a couple of absolute belter layouts recently has lit a fire under me again to get the PC upgraded, so this thread might be followed with a PC replacement (motherboard and drives mounted direct into cabinet) @No1Stoney I seem to recall nabbing some ideas from your comments and posts on Uptown47's build over on FE One thing that I meant to mention above was the fact that I had a bit of an issue with mounting the buttons on the 12mm and 18mm MDF which made the monitor surround and front panel respectively. What I didn't know when I ordered my first batch of buttons is that the 'nuts which hold the button to the panel from behind, come in two depth's, 20mm and 10mm. the first set all had 20mm nuts and although I could get them to fit backwards this then meant that the lamp holder and micro-switch assembly will not push in as they fouled on the nut. I hope the photos below show what I am trying to explain: A comparison of the two nuts side by side: Large nut is only threaded at the top as you can see and on any material over about 9mm thick the thread cannot engage: Putting the nut on 'upside down' gets around this..... Until you come to put a micro-switch assembly in place when you find that the tab cannot engage in its bayonet hole (really annoying when you have fitted 20+ buttons. : A bit of googling revealed the smaller nuts amd washers and some more ebay purchases later I had enough nuts for all my buttons. As you can see the smaller nut allows the micro-switch to click home properly: Right with that little drama sorted the time came to move onto the buttons. Which when fitted with their inserts in the buttons looked like: It was now time to move onto the cabling. I decided that I was going to create a board for the I-PAC and PAC Drives to mount on. This was an idea a inspired by the fantastic job done by Uptown47 (who if memory serves build electrical panels for a living) So I spent a couple of evenings building the following: I also decided that if I was going to know what on earth was going on in the panel I needed to label things up PAC Drive 1 is numbered 1-xx and PAC Drive 2 is numbered 2-xx The I-PAC is labelled following the names from the IPAC: I then decided to get some paint on the cabinet, which really started to make it come together, as you will see I decided to Vinyl Wrap the bottom button panel Moving onto the wiring, I decided when I did the panel that I would use the following colours for most of the wiring: White for data feed to PAC Drive or I-PAC Black for Ground Red for 12v With the Ground links linked up for the buttons we had: I then wired all the data links and fed them back down to the I-PAC: As you can see O was getting really confused and decided that I needed to label the buttons, as without I was getting buttons wired up all over the shop. eventually I used my multimeter to beep out the wires and then wire them back to the board which gave me: Hope that I have not put too much detail into this post. Next time I will detail the continuation of the wiring. If anybody wants to know anything else then please let me know. Pete

  2. Ah ok, so PCB2 is similar to the Betcoms which have the add again bonus. With Fun In The Sun you need nudge gamble to fill the matrix, nudge in a small win and exchange for invincible. Here is a video I made.

  3. Here's another one that unless I'm going mad, has never seen an MFME release in classic or DX form. A conversion of Pook's JPEMU Jackpot Hi Roller. It's basically the club version of the Impact tech machine, Hi Roller. Done the usual MFME changes, such as graphical clickable buttons and coin mech, updated alpha, but as ever all credit goes to Dxcellent man himself Pook. Jackpot Hi Roller.zip

What can I say but this is the largest and possibly quickest one I've done so far. I presumed the lighting for the fruits and values on the top left were full squares and not just the fruits but if it is the fruits then I may update it (I like it with the full squares) As always thanks to Wizard for the brillant MFME. Thanks to Clo06 for the game in the first instance I didn't include a text file with it as I didn't think it needed one (okay I forgot to add one before I uploaded it and thought it not necessary!!!) I don't apologise for the size of the Zip file because I wanted to use the best quality I could and thought by making the machine smaller in pixels, may reduce the quality when maximised and I think it looks great as it is!!!

Nothing much more to say about it except I thought Yes and No might be buttons but it seems they're not but I'm going to leave it where it is Enjoy everyone

Next up is more Lo-Tech Goodness from Astra the Bees Knees of Lo-Tech imo. this like many others is a clone of a clone, very similar to Maygay's 25 carrot gold released earlier in the month Thanks goto @Gary for supplying the roms and the image used for this @hitthesix for the started base layout as me being thick couldn't workout door switches etc as thick at that lol!! @Wizard maybe for initial layout help as stated on the starter layout notes and for Mfme's past and present. Shortcuts are as Standard, if going into test mode the Transfer key is to the right side of the layout. Play this in MFME V20.1+ Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

After doing Volcano, I saw this game and whilst not being a big fan of it, I wanted to do another layout. I hope that if you like the game, you enjoy my version. NB - It has the original notes on it (I couldn't change them) and I have seen there should be more individual lights on the Red Bar (and possibly others) but I'm waiting for some information on the bulb numbers for them. Hope you enjoy MRM

  10. Just a quick question, i watched a few videos recently of mfme layouts being played on youtube and the owner of the channel did not make any reference to the layout designer or to wizard for making the mfme or anybody else that would be relevant AND i had to endure numerous adverts in the video which i know earn money for the channel owner, surely this is not permitted or am i wrong, if i am wrong just ignore me but if this is against the rules i will happily provide the channel name(call me a grass i dont give a sh*t)

  11. There is a Maygay machine called Cash Lines that is a clone of MMM, it was released a few years back now but it was a £10 version and was also emptiable. Worth trying that. The layout is only on fruit-emu at the minute, though Vecs created it so he might upload here. J

  12. Loving that Fun in the Sun trick. I've had a good play around with PCB2 and it's really just a rip. The machine will get into such a bad mood if it drifts too far over percentage that you won't even see a number on the winline for £20 to £30. You can get 2 or 3 jackpots before it just completely dies, as long as it was happy to begin with. There isn't even a defined way to do it. You just need to get lucky, but generally you want a feature entry where Nearest Win is feasible, get your nudges built up first seems the best way, and then try and tease the Nearest Win out of it. Keep Zones and KO's low until you have the Nudge bank where you need it to be. Another method is to gamble a fruit win up to a very high exchange (£10 or £15) and the exchange will sometimes allow an immediate trap for jackpot either off Reel Magic or Zone 5. You only need 7 shots once Zone 5 is open, since Red Mega Streak is guaranteed £70.

  13. I believe he means ads on the YT channel which we all get anyway and it is possible to earn money off your channel. I have mentioned this before that if I ever did off my OWN channel some of the funds would have to be spread through Dads, DIF and the Mecca as they have ALL played a part in my videos. I doubt it would get that far though and maybe you should take this up with @Chopaholic @alex howard as he will possibly know more.

  14. It depends what you define as "emptier"? 1. Something you can take a few JPs out of? 2. Something that can still be emptied even if someone has already emptied it? 3. A continuous emptier where you could make it owe over and over again?

  15. For PCB2, we have the £70 upgrade ROMs, which can be trapped for jackpot in a few different ways. You can get £70 well before it is ready to pay, and I had mine running miles over % with a drift of over £200 in player's favour. Its problems all relate to the fact that you can hi/lo on squares to add again. It doesn't see far enough ahead to allow for bonuses like Back 3 and Taxi + hi/lo (and things get worse for it when you have an Extra Life) and you can trap it for Nudges, Nearest Win, Reel Magic and even Zone 5 sometimes. It's been a while since I found this, so I'll get back into it and come back with a definitive method. You need a good setup and things to go your way - you can't just do it every board. But I reckoned you could get £70 often enough to empty. What's the Fun in the Sun trick?

  17. Hi everyone quick update on the build, I decided to change the shape a bit of the cabinet think it looks better. Also managed to make my own holder and chute for the coin mech (cheaper option ). And I managed to wire up the wires for coin mech into blocks for them to finally go to the IPAC etc. I’ll add another update once I have built a bit more of the machine

  21. A long overdue tribute to Dad. I do remember the electromechanicals from the 70's as I was born in 70. But emulated they are definitely not for me. Utterly incredibly ridiculous that they can be played on our pc's emulated.

  22. I imagine it’s difficult to put in an obvious emptier these days, especially with a high level language. Does/can a third party check source code? J

  23. All stuff lying round the house at the moment. Personally I don't really like the club machines, when lock down is finished will be buying some wood and will fit the extra buttons required in case I want to play club machines, just had to work with the maximum length wood I had in the house
