  1. p1? pre May 2007. Good times, I'll play this with a nostalgic tear in my eye. Cheers!
  2. Thanks for the release, feels like yesterday these were everywhere.
  3. A bit before my time (but not much), still worth a download, it's not always about the nostalgia, sometimes the curiosity reels you in. Thanks for the layout.
  4. Kerpow! Great team work, looking forward to playing this, [thumbs up emoji thing].
  5. Good games these, big streakers. Clone of Viva Mexico. Cheers for the release, I'll download.
  6. It's a solid enough game and in the ilk of 25, note runner, Double Dragon etc It could throw in a very rare slow save £100 top on arcade setting iirc, pretty flat gameplay regular boards, force if you want to waste some time. Cheers Peko, I'm sure I'll download at some point.
  7. Cool! Thanks for this. Golden Keys profile iirc

    Skill Snooker

I love a curiosity and did see some of these in the wild back in the day but barely played them as they just reminded me of a coconut shy with the coconuts nailed down. Iirc they had strange buttons which responded to pressure rather than just your standard microswitch on/off, that said they were probably made to look and feel like that to give more of an illusion of easy skill.
  9. Edit: This is the rare 30p/50p version on £70, pound stake was soon to be added but not on this version, so ignore all my waffle about gold sevens. I assume £20 can still be gotten off 50p but that's not such a useful rip as the 1/12 start won't be jackpot. Edited Edit: Revolver is mega streak if you stop 12/5
  10. "There be gold in them there hills!" One of the bonuses is rewind (moves back spaces indicated on number reel) which sounds similar to what you describe. I haven't downloaded this....yet....so from memory bonuses were different for outside and inner, like red/blue Barcrest games such as Vamp, Hellraiser, Supernova etc Maybe move in becomes rewind from outer to inner?
  11. Great game, had it on an old Atari. Trick is get Leonoric stuck in that walled bit on the map top middle and cast zombie to get in his way. Wasn't there a bug in this that you couldn't make all the spells as one of the herbs you couldn't pick?
  12. A lot of old Barcrest samples were from the Simpsons. My money is on 'The Boy's clever the boy's good' being from one of the million Simpsons episodes from yesteryear. It sounds more like the sort of thing you'd hear on Dad's Army but I can't place the voice to any of the cast. Also heard on the original Cash Attack that would have been a mid 90s machine. Normal happy board but blocked is £20 same as Alien etc I think there was certainly a 70 version you could rip off the Canons, nudge for bonuses and set up the gold 7s when it wasn't happy enough to give naturally. Occasionally a 1/12 start would give jp else collect. Good effort on the wdx anyhow, thanks, I'll download and see if I can rip some £40s.
  13. Cash is King clone? I do vaguely remember this back in the day, it'll be nice to play it again. Thanks for the release Clo.
  14. Quite a rarity. I never played this back in my glory/addict days, I did see it in Mr P's at Chatham (I think it has moved to Bognor now, that's the machine, not the whole of Mr P's Chatham ) I gave it a board and that's my extinct of playing this in the wild. However it's an m1a so got to be good, thanks for the release Clo06.
  15. Bring on the swooshy swirly £100 streak. Cheers Tommy.
  16. I've got to admit I'm struggling to empty this. Some what embarrassing as I did manage to get the classic about £300 owed to the machine % wise. I think I'm forgetting a piece of the puzzle. The key is that a lose often means you'll go back to the previous ?s, usually the closest one. I thought it was a case of get antidote, then build bonus to advance to next ladder then deliberately lose so you start from before the big long ladder that goes up to two squares before mega streak and on next board entry press bonus and there you are with just one snake and an antidote. Needs to be moderately happy but you get it usually for less than £70 each time around. Perhaps I'm getting unlucky, I'll persist for now but might be missing a piece of the puzzle that frustratingly I once knew. The layout is released moderately happy, you might get £30ish ahead with a straight force or two. Btw questions about the pipes in reviews section, they offer a big shot and if the cash meter is £41 or over bells are awarded. Unfortunately it does see this and will either block feature shots or pipe on dice if the meter is that high until it is ready or near enough for mega streak. Also hold over is guaranteed on £1 play.
  17. Ah yes the good old(ish) old days when note acceptors hadn't really established a firm footing. We're so used to the combined credit/bank balances of today that it's easy to forget the work arounds older tech/games used with the note acceptors. For some it was just a case of use the machine like a change machine to save you leaving you game and going to an actual change machine. I think this style was the earliest implementation then you could transfer £2/£5 a time after that. Anyway downloaded for the 80s music and the fact it's a clone of Revolver(?) + layout looks really good, thanks Tommy C + this was a bit 'different' to other Mazoomas of the era.
  18. Yes exactly. I'll have to download this lovely DX and play it again (classic ROMs are on another defunct computer of mine) to remind myself of the full empty. It's slow and hard work but there's a position you can get into with antidote, final ladder and something on the bonus that rips a mega streak before it's ready. Most even on £70 are chipped but I remember this one was a worker. Let me play it for a bit and I'll get back to you with the exact method and Alex if he's interested. The game is still around today on ipub2 £100jp but is quite a different beast!
  19. I think these are the unchipped ROMs, Degsy this one is begging to be made into a video.
  20. This and Spin When you're Winning were some of the better Mazoomas for Gameplay that I remember from the early noughties. I've not downloaded it yet but if I remember correctly this was a late rip off (pretty much) off the Duff Beer Guide style of game with Atlantic Ocean's Waterfall, or very similar to avoid copyright claim used as the feature music. Cheers to Vectra and all contributors.
  21. I never saw this clone out in the wild, only Snake Rattle and Roll and of course Cash and Mouse. I downloaded Cash and Mouse as it was in a local pub for a while back in the day and I remembered the pretty much guaranteed £50 profile if you forced a top. All I can say about the sounds is if it hadn't been mute in the pub, I wouldn't have played it as much! Anyway this looks decent, thank you to all the creators,
  22. If you can't go to Vegas for Christmas, then let Vegas come to you!
  23. Thank you - here because of Chopley Alex Degsy Turnipworth. I was never 'on' these back in the day, too busy filling them up for others. I've heard about the empty over the years though, so thanks again for the release.
  24. Very tidy looking layout. I do remember these games, guaranteed £50 from the top wasn't it? If flat 25 then next board guaranteed 25. Granted they usually cost more than that to force but harmless fun era of games none the less. Another lockdown boredom buster, thank you Vectra.
