  1. Mario Kart 64

Here's the first finished version I did then I decided to do the night/dark version.
I thought I'd post this one in case anyone didn't like the dark version.
Thanks to Wizard for MFME and Johnnyafc for the classic version.
Enjoy and please will you let me know which is your favourite version?
    Thanks

  2. Holy Smoke - DX by MRM

Hiya, welcome to my newest release, Holy Smoke.
Firstly, thanks as always to the late and great Wizard for his amazing and fantastic emulator.
To @wearecity for letting me release it and his brilliant classic layout and the effort made for this machine.
I hadn't realised the reels weren't the same as the arcade machine until @wearecity kindly pointed it out and suggested I improve it if I could. I'm not the best at graphics drawing but I hope you like what I've done with it.
If there are any things that should be lit that aren't, please let me know and I'll try and update it.
Hope you're all well and safe!
Love and hugs to you all!!!

  3. All In A Days Work - DX

Hi everyone, hope you're all safe and well.
The past few weeks for me have been hectic, stressful and at times a bit of a mare.
Anyhow, without going into much detail and being boring (great Pet Shop Boys song) I'll just say decorated 2 bedrooms, new beds put up and repaired as one was faulty, car problems (it's a Vauxhall Astra Twintop so no surprises there, it's a love/hate relationship) and I acquired a new second hand laptop only for the hinge to come away from the lid and break (I was devastated as I only had it a week and actually shed a tear because of the problems I was having with the car etc).
Anyhow, back on with the release, thanks go to @Wizardfor his awesome emulator and legacy he's left, @Clo06for the original release and my wife or letting me buy me second hand laptop MSI PE70 6QE (much, much better than my old Acer 7750G laptop but I still love that one to bits.)
I realise that this one is quite dark but I think it shows the lights up quite well.
Hope you enjoy this mute release and I think my next project may be to revisit Volcano now that I have more experience with the emulator and GIMP program

  4. Volcano

Works in MFME 19.8 (not sure about any other versions)
Firstly, I have been interested in fruit machines, arcade games and console games for many years now and have loved playing the various layouts over the years and thought I would do something to contribute something myself, but wasn't sure what I could do..... until now
After the excellent work by Robinhood75 years ago, I noticed that the red lights weren't shown and I wasn't sure why.
Having enjoyed playing the real machine before, I thought I'd have a look at seeing if I could work out how to show the red lights when the jackpot was guaranteed.
After managing to do this, I wondered how much I could improve the graphics and after someone posted the photograph of the machine, I thought I'd throw myself in at the deep end and give it a go.
I did a square version of the machine but didn't like the smaller left hand side so decided to do a bigger version of it (1600 wide) and after many mistakes and my laptop crashing several times, I finished up with the machine here.
I am still thinking of doing further updates on it, by improving some more graphics, but at the moment, I'm very pleased with the overall effect and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed finishing it to where it is now.

  5. Mario Kart 64 - Night/Dark Version

Welcome to my DX version of Mario Kart 64.
I have never played the machine in the arcades but I saw a video on YouTube to try and get an idea what the lights looked like on the machine when it was running.
My biggest concern and thoughts about it was how on earth am I going to do the parts that run round the gameplay and get them to look like the same lighting without any bits missing. I sorted this by lightening the image of the crops on the machine itself in GIMP and then using each one to mark the end of the previous one.
I thought it would take the longest but when I got into it, it only took around 8 hours to do altogether.
Anyhow, as always, thanks to Wizard for MFME and Johnnyafc for doing the Classic layout.
I have got a lighter version of this as well and will upload it but I think I prefer this version

  6. Little Devil - PCP - DX

Okay, after thinking this was going to be an easy one, I looked at another machine then got excited about doing a better version of my previous release of Mario Karts and then remembered this one and lost interest in this and wanted to just enjoy playing some games on my laptop and doing various designs for T-Shirts, Mugs etc and also putting some photos I've taken for competitions and won one.
Anyhow, enough of that waffle, I am pleased to release this one, even though the lit face has a bit too much light on it.
I will always give thanks first to @Wizard for his fantastic emulator and the help he gave me whilst I was learning how to create these DX's and hope he's looking down on us all with great fondness and warmth in his heart.
Secondly, thanks to @Mavroz for agreeing to let me release my version and I think @infection provided images for this (it's been that long and I can't find the messages, but think he deserves thanks for the new images provided for all the other machines and forthcoming ones I will be releasing).
I did my best to make it better but got to the point that I just wanted to release it and as @Mavroz is going to release a version with better graphics when they get better images, I thought I'd release this as it is and hopefully you will enjoy it
I did have thoughts of doing T-Shirts, Hoodies, Mugs etc. based on some fruit machine layouts or whatever and wondered what you think and what you might like to see?
I do have a Facebook page that I can upload these to so if you'd like to see them or anything else retro related, it's at Multi Retro Mania (I hope that I'm allowed to mention it on here).
Anyhow, I'd like to finish by saying I hope that everyone is keeping well and safe and I am so proud to be part of this fantastic MFMEF (Multiple Fruit Machine Emulator Family)

  7. Monopoly Win Again DX

    Hi,
Here is my own designed DX for Monopoly Win Again.
Thanks to Andy-1 for the machine in the first instance and Mega thanks to Wizard for his awesome emulator.
Nothing much more to say about it except I thought Yes and No might be buttons but it seems they're not but I'm going to leave it where it is
    Enjoy everyone

  8. Cash Lab DX - Single and Full Screen Version

What can I say? I have learned how to do a full screen version and apologies but this has taken me quite a long time to complete because I had other projects on the go, including my book, Guide To Retro Emulation and forthcoming book of poems.
As always, thanks and always in my memory when I work or play on fruit machines to @Wizard R.I.P. for his amazingly fantastic emulator.
@vectra666 for the original release and images.
@infection (it's been that long since I started this I can't remember whether I got the images from Vectra666 or Infection so thanks to both for all the help over the years).

    In this version, I've added extra keys for additional coins (7 - 10p, 8 - 20p, 9 - 50p) - usual 0 for £1 coin.
I initially tried to add something so it wouldn't run out of pound coins but that ended up making the machine do crazy things with the hold buttons flashing away so I managed to revert to the original (for some reason I thought that the original had the same issue) and updated it properly
One thing I notice is that next to the number, there's lights for Hi and Lo but even looking at a video of someone playing the machine, I've no idea when they actually light up because playing the feature and winning the jackpot doesn't light it up at all. Oh well.
Hope you enjoy playing it as much as I have working on it.

Here's a plug for my 104 page guide to retro emulation. If you would like a PDF copy, please send £5 to deffstar@hotmail.com and I will send you the link to download it
(it will soon be increased in price to £8 and will also be available on Amazon in eBook and Hard Copy at a price yet to be decided but possibly £8 and £15)

  9. Crazy Fruits Community Party - Bell Fruit £100 - Edits by Vecs

I was going to add this to my own layout but felt it deserved a release on it's own, due to the work @vectra666 has put into it.
One of the subtle but important changes is the colouring to the cash amounts. I was going to change it on my version but after the issues I had with it, I totally forgot about it and just wanted it to be released.
Anyhow, here's the £100 version and it has issues with inserting notes (albeit I've not played about with it too much so I'm more a designer than a fault fixer lol) so I suggest just inserting pound coins for the time being.
Anyhow, many MANY thanks to @vectra666 for his work and as always @Wizard for his superb emulator. I apologise for not tagging you in or @infection for his superb images as it was the first place I went to, to see if there were any images and I was very pleased with the results
    So as always, enjoy everyone

  10. Gunpowder Slot £70 DX

A very simple update to the £35 as requested by @infection
Here is the £70 version with a very simple update to the total at the right side.
Unfortunately, I cannot edit the description etc. because the layout was locked by the original classic layout creator and I didn't know when I first started the editing what locking meant or how to lock them.
Anyhow, as always, many thanks to the late, fantastic Wizard who is always remembered for his great programming with MFME.
Hope you enjoy it (I haven't played it but I'm assured that the jackpot is £70).
