Right, first things first. It's pretty janky. I could have spent more time and effort, but for the images available and that being the reason nobody wanted to embarrass themselve's with it, so I've taken one for the team. Base image looked OK until lamping, so had to chop cash stack images from Vectra's Vamp It Up as using fonts it looked really out of whack. Symbols for the feature 'HOT' are actually stock images of jean rivets, FFS. This whole thing is literally an exercise in me wanting the final piece of the Barcrest red and blue trail machines, regardless of how that was going to happen. It's best on a laptop which hides some things better. Such as not masking the inner trails. I have other things waiting that are far more deserving of the effort really as this was never going to be perfect. Added coin inputs 9=50p, 8=20p. Massive thanks to: @Mavroz for the classic and assisting with my questions and a really great conversation regarding MFME history etc. Top bloke. @vectra666 for helping with advice and issues I had relating to lamps, and for the bits I pilfered from VIU. @Amusements for a great resource for adding extra coin inputs. @edwardb for really interesting thread on how anti stats code works and why on some machines a multiple coin input is a nessecity. @infection for his archiving of images in Infections Images section. Always worth looking through just to find machines you may have forgotten about if nothing else. Also thanks to the community on here that inspire doing this. Anyone thinking of giving it a go should really consider it. If you choose something like this un DX'ed it kind of gives you a good chance to cut your teeth as at least it's something.

  3. Added a topper, used @Road Hog Madidea and put a police style beacon on top of that and a proper payout tray. Seriously thinking of putting a newer pc in, to take advantage of the great releases for v20. My machine is on win 7 for quizzes mainly, but I don’t play them much nowadays.

  4. I tried using a micro PC (teeny little Lenovo) in one. It's fine for free play e.t.c. but it'll cause issues when it comes to running real coins. So it'll be parted out and swapped with a proper tower at some point. But if you just want a fun way to play a collection - yes, laptop innards or teeny PC would be perfectly adequate, just make sure it's not totally ancient.

Made this today and thought it's a decent fun game, some cheesy sounds and a rip off/clone of sonic the hedgehog it's took me about 10 solid hours today to produce this, loads of editing to the flyer to be done,i've had to draw my own bar symbols as i can't find any crystal ones which match this machine.Hi'lo reel has been redrawn to....... Thanks to wizard for the v6 mfme and to richie100 from the mecca that upped the flyer some time ago. Short cuts are the usual USE MFME V6.1 ONLY,CHEERS.

Time to blow up the Bank and Raid this slot by Reflex The Heist!! Thanks goto @fruitsnappa - Game roms @Mavroz - Sound roms @infection - Machine images and fruit symbol imges The only minor error on the machine is the Led's, these don't actually affect the game but are not completely accurate, this maybe due to mfme not able to emulate these led's correctly, i have added a zip.file. containing the led's bmp's used if any one wants to get em running correctly but be warning the emulator may freeze and crash in edit mode!! the layout is unlocked for this reason. Shortcuts written within the notes on start-up. Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

Massive thanks to @Clo06 for the classic. Also @vectra666 for teaching me a better darkening method, although I can likely implement better in future. Also thanks to the community here as that inspires me to keep improving.

  8. I think the issue is that the PC power supply is typically used for driving hoppers and the other components, and the PACdrive and hopper it drives needs to share the same power circuitry. So with a teeny little PC or laptop you'll probably just have a little external PSU providing a fixed voltage. With a desktop PSU you'll typically have a range of cables with different specs you can easily drive other components with.

  9. My garage PC is a Dell Workstation, had everything I needed including loads of USB3, dedicated GPU, cost me about £100 delivered and was basically mint inside. 480GB SSD and 16GB RAM as well as official Windows 10 Pro. It's pretty old hardware (Xeon CPU equivalent to a 6th gen i7)... but total overkill for something like MFME. I can't recommend old office PCs enough.

  10. My old win 7 pc with real basic gfx card runs mfme, old quiz machine games and basic mame stuff ok, but it will struggle to do anything later emulation wise. Win 10 is a minimum for latest mfme, so I guess any basic pc that’ll run that, should run mfme? Ideally any new (used) pc that I buy will be around £250 max! I don’t expect a massive upgrade for that. Any suggestions?

  11. I'm surprised more people don't use old laptop internals in these cab's, lot less space consumed. Nice build though. I might try and build one at some point, some inspiring stuff for sure.

The dog's gone barkin mad!!! with monopoly crazziness Thanks to @logopolis for pointing out the roms used in the £25 version went to a rare £8 jackpot setting i thought i'd make this again on that jp level so its a eight pound jackpot set on 20p play, of course you can change the Price of Play to whatever you require (5p,10p,20p,25,30p) the cash ladder decals may not look uniform as in all the same this is because i've used some from my unreleased £5 version and the £25 version, the £7 is homemade from the Four anyways Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

This was created from images taken from you tube videos couldn`t find any decent pictures and hasn`t turned out to bad considering my photo shop skills are very basic. Thanks go to the following people @A:E for use of his Lucky lady Cabinet/Reel symbols. @Louie Bee for roms over at Mecca. Steve Lancett for his you tube videos of this machine. @Big J for playtest. Here is a dx version of Black Hole one of my most favourite 2p machines from the 80s. I could not find the correct font for the numbers on the reel symbols but they don`t look to bad in my opinion, also had to make the space shuttle reel symbol up from a picture I downloaded from the inter web so if anyone knows what font is on original symbols please let me know and I will try to update. Please enjoy and let me know what you think. Short cuts are within the notes. Thanks to @barcrest junky for his classic and above all thanks to wizard R.I.P.
