  1. I still play £70 or £100 jackpot machines in pubs, but extremely occasionally. I can count on one hand how many times I play them in a year and I genuinely can't remember the last time I played one. I do other gambling through the year, but not to a great extent.
  2. Thanks, great game, already got it and played the single player through on PS4 and PC, years and years ago, but well worth playing, if you haven't played it before. I had a go at the online multiplayer, but I'm generally a very poor gamer, compare to most, so stopped playing a while back and it's also very grindy. I just wished they officially announce GTA VI, which might push me to getting a PS5 or Xbox X and a 4K tv to go with it.
  3. Wizard expressed an interest in seeing this machine converted in the first page of this thread. One converted, but you could see that the resource work wasn't that great and the converted version, isn't anywhere near up to the standard of a modern day layout. I wonder if any of our skilled DX'rs, would be able to make something much more respectable, out of the linked image. Best to download it, to see it at full resolution.

  5. You'll find most of the releases on these threads on the Dxcellent part of the forums, work on v6.1 https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/forum/30-re-releases/ When you open a thread, you'll see the words, in the first post, Updates for MFME v6.1 or (updates for v5, v5.1, v6) include... If you see anything that says updates for v19.xx then they won't work. The download link, is at the bottom of the first post. Anything released on this site before 2019, should work straight away on v6.1, so it's a matter of going through the release threads, look for threads, started before 2019. https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/forum/33-releases/

Sir Winalot (DIF version), £15, 25p Play, 82% Payout. A Maygay machine on Epoch Tech. An update to my original layout for MFME Will work on MFME v6.1 and later. Unlocked version available from me, to aid with a future DX. You'll need Fancypants font for the machine name only, not included, because built on Windows 8.1.1 may be different versions for other Windows versions. Thanks go to....... Wizard for MFME. Reg for the hi-lo reel from Club Spotted Dick. Vectra for the 7 symbol reels, & other reels from Italian Job 3, The rom provider/uploader. KEYS: 0= Insert £1 ' = Cancel 1 = Hold 1 2 or H = Hold 2/Hi 3 or L - Hold 3/Lo C = Collect E= Exchange Space = Start T = Collect Cash Stake F = Collect Feature S = Collect Super Trail
  7. That won't be necessary, trust me. I should say perhaps, it won't be necessary unless it's considered a better solution by Wizard, then anything that he may have in mind in the future.
  8. I did, the Sir Winalot layout over at www.fruit-emu.com I will upload it here, but I will tart it up a bit, over the next day or two, as it's a very early layout of mine, which is pretty awful looking.
  9. I would have thought it was an automated process, might just be taking its time to come through. Fruit-Emu, in general is being used less and less every week. Most posts are by newbies or members telling people to come here for FME.

    Sonic the Hedgehog

There already is one available, in fact a few. However, to avoid any confusion and get one that's fully working, go to the bottom post on this page https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1094-jpemu-conversions/ Click in the box where it says says Sonic_The_Hedgehog-Jpemu Conv and it will download. Just unzip and load up as usual.
  11. Do we have any good resources to produce an up to date DX? Preferably, also on something better than 10p £8 Jackpot I'm not a great MDM fan, in fact I don't think much of any of their machines, but if I had to pick one, I did find entertaining to play and played numerous times, it would be this machine.
  12. Another good video. Loved those Proconns back in the day, gameplay wise, they were very entertaining. Definitely though, they did feel a bit of a cobbled together cheap build, particularly by the £8 era. You could tell, in the industry, who had the money back in the day to make their machines stand out, look and sound wise. But just like computer games, flashy graphics and sounds, still can't beat good old entertaining gameplay.
  13. LMAO a lot more than a great asset.
  14. Arcadia, has a decent version on MFME done by Vecs, Ricochet we know is converted and Big Banker is converted. The thread here and the DIY fixes thread over at fruit-emu, contains all the info and conversions. If people go through them, the conversions, can all be downloaded from the threads themselves. There are only a handful of machines not on MFME, that won't convert because the convertor throws up an error. Again the threads contain comments when I've tried and they have failed to convert. I'm always up for trying to convert JPEMU stuff, if anyone can find one that hasn't been converted or mentioned it won't convert. EDIT.........it should also be obvious that if an MFME version exist, a conversion is not required, unless it's something like a DX on Jpemu and only a classic on MFME.
  15. Another fun video. It's always difficult to criticise a machine, when you get such a great looking DX. But this and On The Buses were some of Maygay's worse machines ever, so I can't see why the release thread had people, saying this machine was excellent or in fact any good at all, it's absolute crap. The dicking the player around the board and not even offering anything to collect sometimes, the predictability of where it was going to land you on the board, a win series, consisting of 1 win, is not a series and the top feature offering less than a jackpot 99/100, just all round horrible. And before anyone says, but if you use the method (if there was one), that doesn't make it a great machine.
  16. If you use the inflation calculator, some of those prices aren't that cheap, such as the high priced ones like Action Note, would be £1128 last year. But the bulk ones are still cheap. But then were they brand new, or second hand.

Cash Raider, a Scorpion 5 tech machine by QPS. Set on 30p/50p play, £35 Jackpot, 82% Payout. Left unlocked in case of future DX. Thanks to Wizard for MFME and also RGB LEDs Thanks to Tommy C for Picture used and also advice regarding 30p/50p Play Thanks to SocialDragon368 (meme) for putting the roms up on DIF Is there a DIF comeback somewhere out there? KEYS: Cancel = ` Collect = C, Holds 1-3 = 1-3, Change Stake = K, Transfer/Exchange = T or E, Start = SPACE Hi = H, Lo = L Step = S Take Cash Pot = P Take Super Trail = R
  18. A great idea, I just hope he likes wine.
  19. I'd just like to say some sterling work is being done here by Geddy. Whether the roms should have been included is a matter of opinion, pluses and minuses to it. But the main thing here is that a complete FME archive is available. A better job than any fruit machine manufacturer has done ever that's for sure.
  20. You can download the layout itself. I.E the toy itself, but if you want the batteries to run it, i.e. the rom files, you have to find them elsewhere, on a rom site for instance. You may need a specific type of rom, to find out which type you need to use, you need to open the .gam file, that comes with the layout itself, open it with notepad if it asks which program to use. Once the .gam file is open, it will have something like this showing (these are the roms shown in the .gam file for the £25 version of the machine.) Sound 95008440.bin Sound 95008441.bin ROM 95412452.LO ROM 95412453.HI Whatever the roms are shown in the £5 .gam file are the roms you would need. So you go to a rom file site, that has fruit machine emulation roms (normally they are under mame roms), such as this https://www.planetemu.net/roms/mame-roms?page=I You download sets of roms for the machine in question until you find the appropriate roms. Once you have the roms, put them in the same folder as the layout file. EDIT.......Not including ram file part, mean the machine will load up as if it's been switched on for the first time, with no money ever put in or taken out. You may get a ram error with some machines, but that should clear.
  21. I bought the Amiga/C64 forever package https://www.amigaforever.com/ Haven't loaded up the Amiga emulator for ages, but I do like a game on Football Masters, which is a really basic football management game. Railroad Tycoon is a great game of it's time and one, I've played fully through on the emulator. Got quite addicted to Pinball Fantasies (the fairground table) when I rediscovered it. Last time I was using it, a friend of mine, saw the game I was playing (can't remember what it was but it was a late run and gun type platformer) and said, wow I didn't know the Amiga could do graphics like that. It was capable of doing some great stuff, like in Batman the driving sequence and surely it can't do that moments, like running Quake.
  22. If you have Windows 10 , use v5.1 and v19 only. Forget about every other emulator, whether it's MFME or not. If it won't load in v5.1, then use v19. If it will load in v5.1, then once you close it and save it, it will work in v19. It really is that simple.
  23. If you get that message, it means the layout was produced in v19, so will only work in v19 and beyond. If you have Windows 10 , use v5.1 and v19 only. Forget about every other emulator, whether it's MFME or not. If it won't load in v5.1, then use v19. If it will load in v5.1, then once you close it and save it, it will work in v19. 24. MFME will not run layouts that are produced in the Jpemu and Bfmulator emulator. But will run JPM and BFM machines themselves. Most machines layouts that were produced for Jpemu and Bfmulator have versions produced for them for MFME.
