Yeah this definitely sounds more like it. I have only seen the one which was at Warrington Quiksilver so interested to know if it was around elsewhere. -

The one I am remembering definitely 100% had a hidden feature where you hold all the reels after the machines flashes and makes a noise. So if the one you played didn't, then it's definitely a different game I am thinking about. I am not 100% over the name of the game but I am fairly, but not absolutely certain it was originally £8 or £10 jackpot and the jungle theme was absolutely a thing -
I remember Blue Streak. Pretty fun when it wanted to do something

Yeah I thought it had a £6 version on either 10p or 20p. Glad I wasn't remembering it wrong.

It was a 1 player unit and was definitely during the £8 or £10 era, maybe £15 at a push, but I don't remember it being a £25 machine originally. The sound when you got the feature was a voice singing "Go ba, Go bananas!" Did either of those machines have the hidden feature i was talking about involving holding all 3 reels? Pretty sure the machine I am thinking of was a lot less colourful. It had a strong jungle dark green theme to it and was quite plain. -
Another machine I really liked and I don't see get mentioned much. Fun little game, had a £6 jackpot and a board you could move around. One I would love to see emulated at some point for sure. Anyone know of any in the UK currently?

This was a really rare machine I don't see get talked about much because it was low tech. Obviously had a monkey / jungle theme. It had a main roll feature like Red Hot Roll but also had a secret big streak feature where it would growl, the machine would flash and then offer a hold. If you held all 3 reels and pressed start this would trigger the big streak. Never managed to find photos of it online, think the jackpot was either £8 or £10 at the time.

JPM Impulse - Great machine, but so difficult!

I remember hearing from 1 guy that he got the full 50 from Big 50 and thinking "well that makes sense why it's called Big 50 then!" But yeah, never seen it myself. Impulse was a great machine for people with good reactions lol. -

For me it was any machine that didn't do an auto spin if you held down the start button. They would only stop if there was a hold or nudge on offer.

There used to be a dodgy emptier for this one. I remember watching a complete stranger come in to the local arcade. Smart man in a suit, he walked straight up to Ring-A-Bell, got roll up roll up straight away which streaked for the largest amount I have ever seen. He collected the bank and walked out with the game potentially still on the feature, but the next credit put in the machine and of course it wasn't. Something was very dodgy about that, never saw the guy again, and I was in that place every day for 15 years lol.
