  3. Work continues on the MAME internal layout stuff, here's a different one (as it shares the same reels with Adders & Ladders and they're just hardcoded for the mo): Police lamps aren't working properly here, this is just a snapshot of what I'm currently looking at

  4. I'm working on leveraging my Arcade Sim MFME tools to build MAME 'internal' layouts from MFME Classic layouts. Also, the configs (for instance, the police lights aren't working in the video above due to the Small MPU4 extender board not being set up in the Road Hog drive in MAME, lots of these minor config issue to sort out in some semi-automated way). And yes, these will be the standard base layouts in MAME (in some cases replacing the old mfme2mame ones I did back in 2016, and in some cases being new layouts)... I do have ulterior motive of course to try get the latest MAME working in a tightly integrated way, so I can continue to improve/expand FME experience in AS

  5. Wait are you working on an automated layout creator in mame bud? This look well impressive. So these will be standard base layouts in mame at some point? All very impressive mate and great to see these running in mame. J

  6. Wow, they do look pretty similar! If the ROM turns up and we make a layout, it should be able to be integrated into @SomeRandomGuy's MPU1 driver (and if a DX were made that could then ultimately run in Arcade SIm as a 3d machine with MAME running the emulation). Sorry, it's going to be a while yet All the MAME work will benefit Arcade Sim though in terms of instant start ups/ solving the On/Off alarm issue, multiplayer, potentially also 'rewind machine', user save states (not ram saves but instantly starting save states), potentially cross platform, so Mac/Linux/Android etc... plus occasionally small parts of it (wrt. missing parts of MFME extraction like 7seg blocks, band reels, £ signs etc) directly benefits Arcade Sim as I need to write them anyway... there will be a future point when this MAME work is done, but it's just a lot of work to be honest! Gotta keep on trucking, it'll be done at some point Haha it's not a bad idea ...but due to how the MAME layout renderer works, I can draw triangles at a later point on the layouts themselves (via SVG), but due to grouping/bloat, I can only really build up stuff from rectangles/ellipses for the reels (the MAME layout system is very different to how MFME layout works). These are just very abstract representations of something, so it's not just pure text... all the cool kids will be playing them thru Arcade Sim 3DX's anyway

Next up for a very hot and sweaty July is this pirate slot by Barcrest, Jolly Roger set on £5/10p Thanks goto @DJSA5M for the images used @captainhaddock for the classic for the lamping references @No1Stoney for the base reel bands from gold rush. the machine itself is supposed to have purple cherries instead of the standard red ones, but as i used the decals from gold rush i've left em to match them. this machine will link upto 15 slave units but i've only added 3 as the laptop screen isn't wide enough for more To Play as always load up the "TopBox.gam" first and the rest should follow underneath the top box shortcuts are basic standard ones, if the £25 decals surface i may amend the base untis and release on that level but not much point as the same as goldrush Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

wizard rip.... thanks goto the creator (unknown) for the beautiful reels that are included in both layouts. thanks for your efforts.. also to @Clo06 for lamp correction and endless kindness and patience, and to uncle @vectra666 for the assistance and patience with my continued requests for help!! and thanks to @infection whose drive is always the the first stop for images and decals.. I started this when the heat was on and needed to take my mind off it all, and i also loved the game back in 1999!! there wasn't a £25 version yet so i thought why not, i soon found out why not, the meters were a pain in the butt.. but fortunately there are some good and kind members here who are always ready to clean up my errors haha. the next release is finally at the point of completion and will be stunning and dedicated to wizard, way back when i never dreamt of reliving my favourite games in the way i can now and the next is one i loved so dearly it's only fitting to have it released in the name of a man i wish i had been able to thank and my thinking is for the time of the internet it will keep his efforts known to all, be it on here, on there or in the awesome arcade sim. please let me know if you find any errors and i'll dutifully ignore you as i'm obviously perfect but then i'll accept i'm not and update with thanks to you.. best wishes and if you can't handle the heat just be cool.. ice cool... Good afternoon or morning wherever you are. After being quiet for a while, I've been playing the games and emulator stuff, I played this game and thought I'd have a go at doing a DX for it. Thanks as always first, to the late, great @Wizard for his superb emulator, without which, we wouldn't have any of these games. Next and very importantly, mega thanks to @Matty.n for very kindly giving me the unlocked layout and helping me with the lamp numbers for the logos and the Cool image. Finally, thanks to @infection for the images (I have worked out how to get the machine to look straight better than before). A kind mention to @woodsy for offering to do a blended lamps for the logos but I thought I'd try and do it slightly different to how I usually do and it was much quicker and has the same effect as I wanted to. Any issues or anything, as always, please let me know Enjoy and stay safe everyone!!! dedicated to @Wizard for mfme and the joy it brings. this is easily in my my top 3 all time faves, it has multiple cheeky routes to jackpot and loads of super features to mix it up a bit with all sorts of fun and frequent boards too. thanks and admiration must be given to @Damici for this was a total redraw taken from a flyer, the skill on display is nothing short of remarkable.. i was lucky enough to be the lighting half of the collaboration and i hope you all have many many fun hours playing this now and forever... thanks to @slotsmagic for playtesting and ensuring that i can release it at it's complete best and blended to the maximum with no slowdowns or stutters observed. this was a utter joy to play in the pier pub on the way up to the top bar where a arcadia and pot of gold were waiting.. with so many simple ways to get the value out and i will give you a few ideas for your own playing benefit as i imagine not many have played it before.. i am sure everyone can enjoy the crazy fruits themes and variations and this was the earliest of the series that became happy notes etc.. which i also aim to reproduce at some point too. i strongly suggest playing the £15 version only but the £25 is there and is a poor representation of the great game it is, with lots of the game chipped to not be available and the joy removed for the simple fact it was too easy to profit on and they needed to claw it back.. the jackpot can be achieved with a limited players mindset, let em spin on cherries will nearly always be a set for fruit lines to be jp.. turbo cash is often jackpot if you try you will see.. super hold set ups are also possible with the aid of the cancel button no lose gamble, it only lights for a single gamble on the £25 eliminating many ways to win.. my favourite way to test my skills is to try for jp on super cashcade, have a go it's harder than you think but also delightfully simple too. i put this way behind in testing for a giggle and had it go for a jp repeat to 75 quid!! all that and it has a streak profile via jp then gatw after... endless fun and methods to try.. 1,2,3 on boxes for choose a win to get the cherry or orange win to set up super hold or fruit lines!! example below, any top line over a cherry win with a mixture of bells and stars is jp on fruit lines as long as you leave the cherry win on the line.. have a go, you won't regret it..

rip big man.. thanks to @vectra666 who i used the classic for the lamp numbering, and the reels from within which really does save a day for me.. and indeed thanks to all classic creators! this used to have a manipualtion from the super hold feature iirc.. but been so long i'm unable to share more than that.. quite a simple game but does give decent top features.. if you find any errors let me know.. best wishes WOODSY

  16. Interesting stuff, I thought Lucky Casino/Club Casino was the only club SRU machine, guess I was wrong Haven't seen any dumps for this one. Well looks like the whole thing is coming together now, that is great! Very nice facelift overall Also I think most of the MPU4 lamp extenders have been sorted now in the current code. Road Hog at least has the correct one.

BFM - Hi-Lo Silver £4 Tech: SYS85 Here's the 1st of two golden oldie layouts with the same name but 2 different game layouts. Both layouts, if you remember were originally to be made by NQ, however in RL things happen and priorities have to be changed, so, I offered to finish the layouts for him. Keyboard shortcuts in the notes. Thanks to: Wizard for the emulator. NQ for sending me his started WIP The image and rom provider. Please use MFME V20.1 or later to play.

  27. Ah cool So I guess the (slightly convoluted) path to a polished classic MAME layout would be building in MFME v20.1 and get non-extended lamps/reels/buttons/coinslots/labels/frames correct, leave a copy of the extended lamp matrix on there for debug. I can then build a MAME .lay from that, that anyone can run (placing in their MAME Artwork folder), they could then figure out which lamp numbers map to what by testing in MAME, and copy those correct numbers back to the MFME layout (and remove the temporary debug matrix). Then I could reconvert through AS, and that final .lay would then be good. All doable, if a bit of a faff! At least you've already put together a working basic layout for it to be going on with
