  1. Just thought I would split this from the development thread as its sometimes hard to follow when many replies are in there hope no one minds.... Dunnno about you but since the sad passing of Chris our only hope for FME to continue lies with the MAME devs at the moment they are progressing with adding the techs we have into MAME and it will take some time to catch up with MFME but fingers crossed I have noticed two interesting pulls in the pipeline at the moment the first is in and it relates to alphas see below. Updated FME alphanumeric emulation Secondly is a BFM Black Box Driver Bellfruit Black Box driver still being worked on but hopefully soon

  2. First off, I want to apologize for this post as I feel like it should go in Introductions. However, I joined this site and introduced myself over 2 years ago when I signed up for this site and it appears that it I cannot post in Introductions again. I was very enthusiastic about learning how to get all of this working when I signed up and then never logged in again. I tend to fall into and out of these kinds of hobbies and at the time I signed up I was heavy into trying to figure out MAME, RetroArch, and Launchbox. Fruit Machine was next on my list which is why I signed up but then fell out of all emulation in general. Well I'm back now and ready to learn as much as I can. I like to do my research and try things out for myself before I post questions to the forums and I started by looking at the guide here (https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4577-guide-loading-mfme-for-the-first-time/). But it appears that I cannot download the MFME program until I have made 2 posts. So I'm hoping that my original Introduction post from 2 years ago still counts and that this will make post number 2 so I can download and start learning. I've heard good things about this community and am looking forward to learning from everything this site has to offer. Thank you.

  3. Behind the scenes we're all one big happy family apart from Fruit Emu who's owner doesn't seem to care anymore. DIF, the Mecca, DXcellent and DADsFME are very closely linked as we (the site owners) all go way back and a mutual trust and friendship now exists. As for resources, there's nothing at FE that can't be found here so I wouldn't worry. All the active creators have access to what they need and if anything new comes up such as artwork or roms they're always shared and made available to those who want them. The days of hoarding stuff thankfully seems to have long gone.

  4. All the FME forums, have at one time been the main focus of the scene. Everyone has had their favourite. The now gone MPU/Fruit Forums, was the biggest for years. It's downfall was the leaked emulator. But not overnight, but over a few years. Then when the new era of FME started in 2016, the MPU Mecca, came to the front, when development of MFME was there. Fruit-Emu, which had been around, had a noobs reputation, because of the amount of requests for Crazy Fruits and Deal Or No Deals, well before they were emulated. But for years, a close second to Fruit Forums and it came to the front, when Wizard started posting there and the vast majority of releases were released only there. Then when Wizard chose here for MFME development, this site became the most focus. Should this site close, then in a flash I'd suspect it would largely be fruit-emu, where releases were made. The Mecca crowd, are more into real machines than emulation. Dads has nearly always been there, but largely in the background. I'd imagine only if the other 3 sites were to close, it would be the forums of choice. Mainly because I still don't think some people know it exists and has several exclusive releases.

Slivering up next is this popular themed fruit machine, of which they're still releasing new versions to this day. Hyper Viper the Club edition, based on snakes and ladders or adders n ladders, they're all the same.. Thanks Goto The provider of the £100 real machine images/flyer used for decal button changes @Ploggy for the very old classic used as a template for the dx, the classic was made way back in 2003, maybe one of the first classic's made! @Tommy c for the dice reel from viva las vegas also Thanks to @WonkySausagefor sending me the "unlocked" classic and help with the prize checkboxes @fruitsnappa test mode info Shortcuts listed within the notes on each the £200 dual stake does give a repeat chance on the cashpot, which by the looks of things will take a million quid to max, there is yes/no lamps but these appear to not light up on the repeat chance, also the majority of lamps are in their correct postions but also a few aren't Anyways, Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!

  8. To me there are two 100 percent fme sites that is here and dadsfme, dxcellent is more of a layout launchpad for pook which was also a site i viseted regularly. The mecca is in its own way a fme archive but it switched to more of a collectors club, so yeah there are 3. Fruit emu well that place is dead in the water, owner didn't give a fuck about the place or its membership.
