There's a new version out today. [EDIT] Sorry should have read back a bit.

Here's a few for you to try.... Jewel In The Crown (Barcrest).zip

Not really. Sometimes MFME works perfectly, sometimes it crashes, especially with Poolplay. I even redid a smaller res version yesterday which ran perfectly then went back to the original and that ran fine too. I’m stumped!!
-
Mine’s an I7 32Gb Ram & RTX 4050 I’ve been trying to get my Poolplay DX working more than anything. For some reason the reels pop out of sync. Strangely enough last thing last night I tried the Classic which seemed to run ok. i can post my windows updates later if you like.
-
Yeah I grabbed it from that link. Baffles me how say SC5 MPU5, even Astra A1 work like a charm, but others don't. I'm still working my way through each tech. Can't be graphic related surely, its got to be sound. There are no Firewall, Malware, Windows Defender, DirectX issues either as like I say newer techs run fine.
-
Just hangs mate. Normally after the reels initialise, might get one spin if I'm lucky. I even tried switching to onboard graphics and disabling the main RTX GPU. That didn't work either.
-
Nope, not DirectX. I tried DX9 & DX10.
-
Electro Epoch M1a MPU3 Proconn to name a few.
-
Which version? Obviously I have DX12 installed.
-
Hmm, its a thought but EVERYTHING else is running fine. In fact MFME is running fine but only on certain newer techs. It's the old stuff that's locking up such as my beloved JPM Poolplay.
-
Tried that in device manager (see pic). I'm assuming I'd get the same if it were disabled in BIOS.
-
No I've not tried that but might do if all other possibilities fail. I'll keep plugging away though, maybe it'll sort itself through future updates. It's really annoying but at least I still have my old laptop for MFME is necessary.
-
Yep, no other option apart from Realtek which uses default settings same as my other laptop.
-
It’s not a Dell, I’ve gone for a MSI now and all updates are done as far as I can see.
-
I'm having similar issues now with my new laptop. I 'was' using a Dell Inspiron gaming laptop running Win11 with no problems at all, but now I've upgraded to a lot more powerful RTX Gaming lappy. The issues I'm having are also with the 'older' techs, basically anything from M1a backwards. The game initialises then locks up when the reels spin. Occasionally it gets past that but I might only get a couple of spins before it locks up and I have to close MFME via task manager. I never had this problem before. Everything is up to date with drivers etc.. so I'm a bit stumped to be honest and usually I'm quite tech savvy when it comes to stuff like this. As @Altharicwill remember it used to be the Realtek sound drivers that used to cause problems with older versions of MFME. I might investigate that option unless anyone has any other ideas. Thanks

Not seen that one before, sorry.

Looking forward to this. I’m overdue a laptop update anyway. Currently on a GTX 1050 but will be getting a decent spec RTX at some point.
-
The Arcade sim is what it is and I'm guessing that no further updates will be issued. Instead work is being done on software called 'Oasis' which looks like its comng along very nicely but like anything else it'll take time. I'll leave it to @johnparker007to fill you in with the finer details. p.s. Space Invaders works fine on my Laptop.

Either load each slave seperately and use Alt + L to link them, or just download the layout again. If you want to link them yourself then you'll need to click anywhere on the top box before pressing Alt + L. Then it a case of positioning the slaves to match the Top Box. If you're not familiar how to do this then I suggest just downloading the layout again as I mentioned before.

Converting from MFME 5.1 to MFME 20.1 normally works straight away. Occasionally Hoppers need attention as do sounds, it all depends on the machine in question. We can fix all issues but need to know which machine is at fault and what the error is. It's usually something simple
-
Could it be either Dialtone, Re-Animator or Guitar? They are the only coders I know who would spend time on Fruit Machines. The Video at first I thought was fake but looking at it again I'm pretty sure its genuine. However it's one thing converting a SC5 layout to a SC6, what about Dev tools etc.. I feel that if a full blown emulator release is forthcoming It'll be a long way off, but I'd love to see it.

Here ya go! fmeconv-30.zip

Haha! Yeah the first dad DX. I’d have to troll through a load of old laptops or CDs to even find it again. It wasn’t speed throttled either so it ran too fast on anything faster than an old Elonex sx386 which I think I used when coding it. I loved messing about coding stuff back in the day. I actually got a city & guilds games programming certificate in 1991 IIRC.

Surely you remember my DOS based fruity from 96?? IIRC I wrote it in BASIC and It worked like a charm - exactly like Each Way Nudger I sent it in to PC Format and got no reply - BASTARDS lol
