  1. Barcrest's Up & Over Wdx

Here's a dx of a decent old barcrest machine called up & over, was meant to do a dx of this a while back but never got round to doing it. After reading about how some of the lads used empty it and those roms turned up i decided to give it a dx update to go with the new roms that were being enjoyed. Thanks To @Chopaholic @logopolis for having a test to make sure everything ran as it should and to the late wizard for the new mfme.

  2. Gold Rush Stampede Triple £5 Dx's

Here's the seaside £5 variant of Gold Rush Stampede set on 92% payout and it gives a decent game on that percentage, if you want a hour of quality lo-tech'ness without the bother of pressing start these are for you with its Autostart.
I originally made a £25 version as No1 stoney's previous version was too big for laptop, i also then made this £5 version which was a simple change of base decals, or at least stretched the £25 ones to fit.
Thankyou to @No1Stoney for his bigger version of which i nabbed the top reels from
@captainhaddock for the original single unit classic layout which i made this version from
eBay for the main image used
load the top box first and everything should fall into place,
sometimes the top box reels may not spin on certain lo end laptops etc, mine suffered this but it maybe due to windows updating as worked fine prior to release!!!
    Plays in Mfme v20.1

  3. Nudge Nudge Wink Wink £4.80Dx

This was a 1024dx i originally made back in 2014 but decided to enlarge it for Mfme v19
this now includes blending of lamps which suffered slow downs in v6,1 but is much better now
    also added coin in/out effects
    reel gradients etc

Thankyou goes to Ploggy for the use of his original £6 art used in the 2014 edition as are the reels.
thankyou again to Wizard for Mfme past and Present

Version 2 plays in Mfme v20.1 only!!!!

  4. Party Animal £25

thanks to wizard for the mfme and work to enable such joy.
also thanks to @MikeyPosh and his brother for the image and others i have to play with...
and of course to the classic creator (unknown) and @dad for the reels used, @Tommy c for the button off images used amongst a few others as the original photo had mixed decals that needed to be changed, that and there was no simple way to make the monster icon for the bonus. thanks guys
i had a few issues and it's mainly the font finding, i made as good a replication as i could but hey ho.. the mega and super text is imo the worst of the attempt.
another gap filled in the library and from scratch instead of editing the only two decals that are different, coz hey why not haha..
lastly big up's to @Ze Frog who's got the bug and @logopolis too!! keep em coming guys!
enjoy and keep it mfme in 2023.. bin the virtuals and long reign the home builds.

  5. King Kebab (Barcrest) £25/30p/86%

Here we have one of my favourite machines of all time, King Kebab. This time set to £25 Jackpot which I think is the best jackpot for this machine.
Its taken ages to get the multi-lamps working in the kebab stack but I think I've done them OK as previous layouts only had 2 colours working due to old emulator constraints.
I've always wanted to create a more up-to-date version of this machine and I hope I've done it justice.
I hope you enjoy playing this machine as much as I did back in the day and I hope it works OK for everyone.
Another shot at blended lamps, I hope they are OK, and I also hope they don't slow down the layout for anyone too much as I cannot tell on my PC.
Thanks to everyone for their support, @spa's Google drive for the flyer & @Johnnyafc who I believe did the previous £15 DX from which I used for reference.
    Enjoy

  6. Autoroute

Here is Autoroute on the MPU3 tech by Barcrest on it's on £3 Jackpot.

This is one that I've been working on that was mainly just for me, but I asked Dad to playtest it and I have decided to release it for all to enjoy. I did try to replicate the lamping of the cars outline like in the YouTube videos but it didn't look right so I lamped it in my own style.

    Thanks go to;
Adydb for the reels and lamping positions
    Dad for playtesting
Wizard R.I.P for his amazing emulator.

    Shortcuts are in the notes

    Hope you enjoy.

  8. Grab The Bank DX by Multi Retro Man

Part touchpad and part mouse created (much faster with the mouse) I'm pleased to release Grab The Bank. The original image I used was not very good so I managed to edit out all the lighting issues and tried to get it to look as realistic and as good as it can be. The hammers I managed to find from a YooToob video and did a screenshot of it and managed to edit it and used it in this machine.
Okay, so as always, the first and always will be first thanks, go to the late and great Wizard for this superb emulator.
I started this a while ago and thank everyone for their input and help that they've given me (please accept my apologies for not tagging you but I forgot who did what; I blame my age!).
I find it a slightly confusing machine to play at times but with the odd bit of luck, I got the jackpot a couple of times.
Anyhow, as always, hope you enjoy this one and I really enjoyed making this one.

Barcrest Hi-Lights running on MPU2 with slappy side buttons, and lots woo woo noises!
A big thanks goes to the following people:
Pete W (fruitemu.co.uk) for uploading the roms and sending his old pics.
Launton (fruitemu.co.uk) for providing the fruit symbols.
chris217's Youtube channel for hosting a video which helped me work out the reel order.
Richy1976 for putting together the great coin sounds.
And of course Wizard for making MFME possible and supporting it:):)
Anyway...Time to start playing. Short cuts are in the read me file if you are too daft to work them out yourself:)

This release has two version, one with a screen overlay ( many thanks to @A:E ) for allowing me to use the overlay here and one without.
Also a note of thanks to @Wizard for all the work he has done to make this game 100% playable and everything else for the scene as well as providing some source photos at The Mecca so I could confirm that there was nothing else to add here.
Note that this game plays 100% perfectly from an experience point of view if you get yourself a trackball.  Here is one I have got from Amazon...

  14. The Jackpoteers £5 dx

thanks to wizard.. it's incredible the thought gone into the emulator and the fml side too!
thanks to @dad whose dx i used to lamp and the reels which are included too..
thanks to @Liverpool2008 for the beautiful image which i decided against editing to the preferred £15/25 versions of mine as that would ruin the base image imo!!
HOWEVER BY TICKING S DOOR, CONFIGURATION... YOU CAN CHANGE THE STAKE/PRIZE/PERCENTAGE YOURSELF TO THE WAY YOU WANT IT, THE BASE DECALS ARE OBVIOUSLY DIFFERENT BUT THE ALPHA TELLS ALL AND THE ONLY CHANGES ARE PURPLE & YELLOW BARS, BLUE & RED 7'S, AND THE JACKPOT OF COURSE. THE TOWER ONLY HAS THE TWO CHANGES, TOP BECOMING YOUR SELECTED JACKPOT, AND THE ONE BELOW IS £8. THE £15 IS MY PREFERENCE!
There are multiple lamps i couldn't figure out, they are lamped and look good of course but the existing 3 versions have them off, and no matter how much i tried with the lamp boxes it just wasn't making sense!! @vectra666 if bothered may help and i'll update but for now it's in prefect working order with a little woodsy input on barcrest lamp maps!
my fingers are suffering from all the blood checks and it's really painful for me to keep working on lamping etc, i'm too addicted to fml to stop but i'm going to be a bit slower for the time being until i get my new life as a diabetic under control etc..
today marks a year on dif.. it's a great site bringing memories back from extinction! i'm glad i've been a part of that too, i will do my best to continue doing so!
as usual any complaints send them to po box 8008135.

  16. Club Hyper Viper £100-10p / £200- dual stake Dx's

Slivering up next is this popular themed fruit machine, of which they're still releasing new versions to this day. Hyper Viper the Club edition, based on snakes and ladders or adders n ladders, they're all the same..
     Thanks Goto
The provider of the £100 real machine images/flyer used for decal button changes
@Ploggy for the very old classic used as a template for the dx, the classic was made way back in 2003, maybe one of the first classic's made!
@Tommy c for the dice reel from viva las vegas
also Thanks to @WonkySausagefor sending me the "unlocked" classic and help with the prize checkboxes
    @fruitsnappa test mode info
Shortcuts listed within the notes on each
the £200 dual stake does give a repeat chance on the cashpot, which by the looks of things will take a million quid to max, there is yes/no lamps but these appear to not light up on the repeat chance, also the majority of lamps are in their correct postions but also a few aren't
       Anyways,  Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!

thanks to @infection for the images. to @Johnnyafc for the classics used to lamp map, and for the reel someone un-named??
had this knocking about for a while and despise the gameplay so much wasn't going to do the extra stake/prize ratios, as is i do have the decals for £8 but not £15. happy to give the art to someone if they want to bother with it haha.. seriously does anyone have a method for this clone of spice is right???
the only reason i did it at all is the monty pyhton theme..
still it works, looks good and is now off my hands allowing me to focus on my next and favourite game (top 3)

  21. Super Two £4.80 Dx (v2)

Next up here is my 500th Fme release and it's back to the 90's for me with this revisted slot "supertwo" the sister machine of "TakeTwo" which i thing take two is better.
I'll let you decide on that one. play em both side by side!!!
The reason i've redone this as the earlier version i made was a tad small (1024) so found the original image i made up and relight it, making a few changes to the original layout
thankyou goes to the original supplier of images @launton i think as he owed this machine before Steve Lancette had it
what more can i say, other the Enjoy and Happy Gaming just like its 1991
Now i must push myself into making a new layout for the 501st Fme release

  22. Rio Grande £1000

    thanks to wizard always..
thanks to @JamieGTR for providing me in situ hi res images and many many more of my little requests were accommodated also... thanks bud
thanks to @Clo06 who got the pesky meters running for me, a simple fix i imagine but when you don't know there's always clo to help..
against jamie's wishes i've left the garage background in place as i like to think its more realistic to the viewer. i did ponder on whether to do some side art for the gamble wheel art to be enlarged and also to allow for the meters to be in view during gameplay but i've been offline for ages and tbh i have been delaying this for long enough.
the nudge font is not the same and is a sympathetic attempt to match it as best i could, happy to allow any bored fml heads with spare time to reproduce and improve.
thanks to the previous dx/classic designers who had a £500 version in the legacy section with which i was able to find lamp numbers and test etc.
small changes made to existing reel bands to improve the resolution on the wild and rio grande symbols.. imho i think the reels i made may have a few off pixel placements but it may also be my eyesight!!
please feel free to send any mistakes that need improving as usual i will eventually do what i can to make them better.
i have another glorious wip in the making with thanks to another user, it's not far off but i'm doing more health things that are taking me away from the screen and mfme i adore.
as always best wishes to you all..

  23. £5/15 Frenzy DX

    thanks to wizard!!
thanks to @Liverpool2008 for the images, @Tommy c for the reels which i edited slightly to increase the numbers visibility, and the decals for the b/r 7's on top row.
thanks to @WonkySausage for sourcing photo of the top feature decals, to the rest involved thank you too!!
the £5 is completely hi res but to facilitate the £15 i had to use the decals from the flyer version of tommy c's.
YES THEY ARE ANDY CAPP BUTTONS, that's how the machine was photographed and for originality have been left in as i couldn't find the official ones and the flyer ones would of detracted heavily from the image. If anyone can provide decent images of buttons and also the top row decals please do and i'll update.
a difficult layout to lamp this one, and the forsee the future text is as clear as i could get it whilst keeping it original..
one of my favourite games to mess around with as demonstrated in a @Chopaholic video.. hours of fun can be had with this...
next up thanks to @Damici is one of my all time top 5 games.
    best wishes one and all..

  25. Spiker The Biker - £5, £15 and £25 4K DX

Here's a trio of Spiker The Biker layouts, made using my photos that I took at Skirlington Leisure Park. At least I think that's what it is called. It did have a retro arcade section but based on recent videos it looks like it's no longer running retro machines. Let that serve as a reminder to people - grab resources while you can, you never know if you'll see the machine again
Anyway - back on topic. Layouts are £5/10p (I'd suggest upping to 20p if you want a faster game), £15/30p (you can drop to 25p if you want a slower game) and £25/30p (again - you could run at 25p but I prefer the speed of 30p at the higher jackpot).
It's a brilliant machine in my opinion - I owned one years and years ago and still kick myself for selling it. Must be coming up to 20 years now since I owned it. For some reason it was never cloned. I'm sure others from the same era weren't either, but I don't get why it didn't perform that well. It's got a cracking sound package, decent art, interesting upgrade system, and quite a few 'hidden' things.
Maybe it didn't do very well as it's a bit predictable - but I used to feel very 'safe' playing it?
Hopefully the layouts are fully working with no issues - I've had a few lovely people - @Mort and @Boulderdash - cast their eyes over slightly earlier versions and they both picked a few issues up which I hope I've now corrected. Knowing me however I've probably introduced more issues as I've made those corrections. Fingers crossed I haven't!
Some of the suggestions made I have not implemented but I will definitely consider implementing some of the ideas on future layouts!
Thanks for @logopolis for providing a couple of different ROMsets for me - the £5 and £15 are running early ROMs (named : BIKE) - which is odd as I've only ever seen ROMs named SBTR before? The £25 layout runs the SBTR ROMs as the earlier ROMs aren't switchable for £25.
Thanks to Adam on Facebook - I think he might be a member but he's not made himself known on here. He sent me great photos of his decals, insisted it was no bother and he wanted to help. Got me a bit more motivated to complete this release as without those decals it would have been £5 only and the decals I originally had looked terrible!
Thanks to @Reg for the site. I'll still tag him even though the account is closed. Thanks to @Wizard as always for MFME and the last 20+ years.
Thanks to everyone else who puts up with me and my ridiculously off-tangent WIP threads, waffling posts like this one, and who downloads and plays this release.
Regrets? I built the layout on a tatty old 22" 1920x1080p display and only when I moved it up to my 65K 4K TV last night did I spot even more issues. From now on I will exclusively design on that screen, at 4K, from the off. Way, way easier to spot issues. Probably would have allowed me to get a more even result as well. Working on large art on a small screen at about 1/2 resolution makes no sense. In edit mode you can only see a teeny bit at a time

Enjoy what is left of your bank holiday - and if you find any issues do let me know! I'll swear, punch my monitor, and then fix them (in that order)

*NOTE* - I have unpacked the blended lamps, but this might be a bit hard for older / non-gaming PCs to run, especially during busy lamp cycles (jackpot sequence e.t.c.).
Runs fine on my old and new gaming machines at 1080p and 4K respectively. If needs be I can release a fix with no blended lamps for those who need it. Will see what the feedback is like first.
