What size screen is that?

I want to build another lol. But with 2 screens,  one for the reels and one for the top part. It can be done.

Looks good that btw. Send us some pics of the inside.

I'd always been tempted to repurpose one of my digitals in that way when one dies. Something like my Electrocoin Vegas Strip cabinet. Lovely and compact and a pair of 4:3 screens. I mainly play lo-techs anyway these days, so it would be easy to have that type of machine in a dual screen config. Would also work nicely with lo-techs with a set of top reels in the top glass.

Mind you I've still not made any progress on my cabs. I probably ought to sell some of my collection off, might give me a kick up the arse to work on the MFME cabs.

Currently owned digitals : T7 Encore, T7 Original, Astra iPub and Storm Street Casino.

MFME cabinets : Genesis cab DIY by No1Stoney, Interplay conversion and Vegas Strip conversion (both are works in progress!)

Hi @EdwardFarmer... I noticed in davep180's thread that you said your machine had a separate 12v power supply and did'nt use the molex leads from the PC for power... When I eventually make a cabinet I want to use a separate 12v supply too... (and possibly a 24v one for the hoppers if they need 24v - the 12v would be for the LED bulbs as i wanted brighter ones than the 5v LED bulbs.)

I just wanted to ask if you could show how you did the common ground for your machine as i have noticed it to be a problem with some builds. I had an idea that if i got a mains plug with just the earth pin wired up and plugged into the same extention block as the PC, Monitor, 12v and 24v power supplys etc, could everything that needs grounding attatch to that same earth wire, or is that a bad idea?

Another question I have for you is are there extraction fans to remove heat from the cabinet as i know large TV's / Monitors say in there instruction leaflets not to be used in enclosed spaces as they can overheat so wondering how you overcame that problem too... Hope you don't mind me asking all this!

Thanks, and once again - very impressive build you have made there. :)

All the best,

Gary.

Hey pal, yes mate, i went woth the 12v as found it better with the hoppers i used as when i used a 24v supply to them they ran to fast throwing out a few extra coins

Regarding the bulbs i just used 5v as i power them from my pac drive 5v supply they seem bright enough for me, you just need to make sure you have the right bulbs

I can sort you a GND diagram to how i did mine will tey sort that for you was pretty straight forward when i got going i just daisy chain.

Regarding the heat from the TV atm my cabinet is open top and back so bot needed a fan yet can show you a pic of that also later when home.

Also hear to help pal dont worry about asking i was the same got to learn somewhere as you want to get it bang on.

Yh mate, still a work in progress but pretty much runnin a pay in and out system using 3 hopper

Looks great that👍 I’m planning something similar myself if it looks half as good as yours I will be happy. I’m interested in how you have the 3 hopper system running did you use the Arduino method that’s posted?

Hey mate iam sure it will, just let me know if you need any advice along the way, I pretty sure I can have as many hoppers as I want, I just use 2p, 10p, £1, when I play a game that is normally a 20p hopper I just put in the settings multiplier x2 on the 10p hopper to pay out 20p, I use a pac drive for mine mate

Ok thanks for the offer it’s much appreciated.
That’s good to know. I was under the impression that mfme only supported 2 hoppers. I was thinking of having a £1,10p and 20p token set up for my build. As most of the games I used to play were cash/token games. Have you tried all 3 running on one machine successfully?

Yh I wish I put 4 hoppers in my build now as  some of the token games I would like to have on my build, I haven’t tried 3 on one game at a time but I sure there would be a way to get them to work would need time to look at that

4 would probably cover most if not all games 2p/10p/£1/token that would be an ideal set up.

Let me know the results if you do end up trying 3 on one machine please
