Well here's a quick layout I cobbled over the last few days using some artwork provided by @Player. It's a very simple game, basically the same machines as the Red Hot Monopoly single-player, or Grand Golden Game multi-player. As posted in the WIP thread, I had a brutal session on this in Skirlington, before being shown the correct way to play it (cheers @spa!) Also, as stated in the notes and WIP thread, the artwork here appears to be pre-release, or prototype, or something else. I had to add the top reel surround and XTRA LIFE lamp as they weren't present on the art. So while it's listed as a DX, it's not 100% accurate. If I remember to take better photos in the future, or learn how to draw in Photoshop rather than manipulate, it might be re-released in more accurate form in the future! Thanks to those who gave their input on the WIP thread and elsewhere. I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sure about the layout. I think the next time I do one of these I'll be tempted to forget the belly glass at the bottom and move the note acceptor somewhere else. It's a VERY skinny layout. So skinny that you'll probably find my image and notes are off the left hand side of your screen when opening. Other than that I believe they layout is fully working as it should be. Any issues at all reply here and I'll update the layout!! Cheers all SM

  2. Something is there indeed Not quite in yet as it needs to get through code review first, but very likely that MPU1 will appear in this month's MAME

rip wizard.. thanks to @vectra666 for the cab which probable has the wrong mech but hey ho still looks good.. thanks to @Tommy c whose reels i used and edited to change the numbers to as close as i can achieve. the symbols are his and are pukka tbh thanks to @slotsmagic for the images from the skirlington arcade visit.. if anyone can provide the £10 decals please do so i can make my preferred jp version to enjoy also.. multiple images made this one image so there are discrepancies in lighting and colour that i've done my best to match up etc.. pyramid redrawn not brilliantly.. sands of time as authentic as i recall.. love the game.. enjoy... now i've got the next game started that i adore.. so next release tbc date wise haha.. best wishes

  4. I had it playing in auto for a little while before release, so it owes a couple of hundred quid. Once it's done a bit of a streak I'm sure it'll be back to it's normal awful ways. I honestly hadn't tried it in full screen but it does look rather nice in portrait mode. I keep meaning to actually set up another portrait mode display for layout designing, for when I *finally* get around to finishing my MFME cabinet. I'd only seen 2, the one that I lost £130 in and the one I was shown to play properly and did quite well on! It's hard to work out what is going on with this machine, what with the artwork I worked from being different to the machine I played. It's almost like they had the name and couldn't quite work out which ROMs to shove in

rip. wizard... thanks to @infection for the images. to @Johnnyafc for the classics used to lamp map, and for the reel someone un-named?? had this knocking about for a while and despise the gameplay so much wasn't going to do the extra stake/prize ratios, as is i do have the decals for £8 but not £15. happy to give the art to someone if they want to bother with it haha.. seriously does anyone have a method for this clone of spice is right??? the only reason i did it at all is the monty pyhton theme.. still it works, looks good and is now off my hands allowing me to focus on my next and favourite game (top 3) best wishes

...aaannnnd since I had this sitting on my PC for some time I thought I'd release this too. So here is an updated version to my Grand Golden Game layout I did a while ago. This one is much bigger and crisper looking than my old tiny sized layout. That is thanks to @Player for the resources once again. Again, I have to keep readjusting the topbox size on my PC, I hope that's not the case for everyone and once you set it up, I hope it stays set up for you. Hope all is OK, but please let me know if not

  7. Amazing progress @SomeRandomGuy, some FME firsts happening over there! I've had some other stuff on, but have still been chipping away at the MAME layout builder/config extractor thing... current task is getting the correct number of rows and arranging the MAME text to best make use of the rows, as a lot of existing classic layouts rely on MFME's internal wrapping, along with many different fonts/dimensions, so a slight bugger to figure out: ...where the text has no 'hard return' characters but should be spread across several rows, like the 3 row box above. Have a fuzzy system that pretty much works (apart from a few edge cases to deal with): So I'm on the home stretch with this task I think Need to get string width of a similar font in unity, and then a routine to optimally split up the words and I can switch over to using it.

  11. Sure, i've made a jpg wiring diagram of my system. See attached. The relays I used are HL-52s which are easily available from ebay or amazon etc. They are powered / grounded from the 5v / gnd pins in the centre of the ipac labelled for trackball. You can see the pacdrive will first send the payout signal to the relay (green wire), which will then close the 12v circuit and power the hopper (red / orange wire), which then sends a coin issued signal back to the other relay (blue wire) which closes the circuit and signals the ipac (yellow wire) and that generates the required [ or ] to acknowledge the coin. Hope that helps. Shout me for any questions and If i can help, I will cheers
