    Great Train Robbery

We don't have the Dot Matrix ROM for this which is why it hasn't been done before.
  2. It would do as it will have lost the DES key pairings, you should have just left it until the on/off alarm cleared by itself. Best bet is to just download it again.
  3. A game is not just a .gam and a .ram file, you also need a layout file ( .fml ) and the game binary files ( *.bin or *.p1 etc )
  4. Layouts will always look degraded when displayed on a lower resolution monitor otherwise there would be no point in 4K. I think the idea of doing a layout in 4K is for future proofing, so when everyone is running 4K they will still look sharp. Also bear in mind a larger layout has far more pixels to manipulate and might be slower running. I have one 4K monitor in my setup but actually run it at 2560x1440 otherwise the text is too small to read.
  5. Laptops, Tablets or Monitors with multiple touch points do support pressing more than one button at the same time, looks like yours just emulates a mouse.
  6. If you are doing Reel Crazy mk2 then the numbers you are using are wrong. They should be 192, 176 and 200, 184 These numbers correspond to lamp numbers, so look at the layout and see if these blocks of lamps change when you insert coins or press the start button
  7. Download v5.1 from here: http://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/files/file/340-mfme/ The one on the mecca is supposed to be installed over a previous v5 install so doesn't contain all the files required.
  8. I thought it did but perhaps not, I can't find the folder creation in the code lol It will pop up a message box though, if it can't find those folders when drag/dropping. EDIT: It might cause issues with UAC if MFME tries to create those folders itself.
  9. Flyer and Cabinet images are stored in the Folders "Flyers" and "Cabinets" in the Folder where the gam db file ( gamesv19.0.0.db ) is. When you drag/Drop in manager the file is copied over to the folder above, and stored as a jpg if that is selected in prefs. Default sounds are where the default sound effect files are stored ( Button down, coin mech etc ). Masks are the default lamp masks that can be used when setting up lamp masks using the right click "Default" option.
  10. The disc reel is missing all its lamps!
  11. It can lock up like that if you open/close the door, I think I've sussed the reset now and will fix it in the next update. Yep technical stuff all good
  12. Thanks for this, looks like your Apache was locked up at the beginning and just repeating the same animation over and over again. This is a good example of how the driver board offloads the load from the MPU4. From what I can tell, there didn't seem to be a way to reset the driver board from the MPU4 because although the alpha port had a reset line, in this application it is used as an input to the MPU4 so it can read information from the driver board.
  13. The decimal point should be lamp 71
  14. Set the rotary switch to 0 to give 5 credits for £1
  15. What are the specs of the PC? That will provide some insight.
  16. £1 input appears to give 2.5 credits and 50p change Also 20p token input is actually 20p cash, change it as follows

    BigChief.jpg

Best picture I could find of my old Big Chief. You can clearly make out where a number reel was fitted but in my machine this was blanked off. Might be good enough for a DX if the flash burn can be removed?

    Apache

No there is a dedicated Barcrest designed board to drive the Plasma display and it connects to the MPU4 Alpha port.

    Apache

    Version 1.0.2

Here is another Barcrest Plasma display machine called Apache. This layout is based on @Reg Big Chief Classic layout as they are similar machines although this one has a different reel order and chr chip. Enjoy.
  20. Just knocked up a classic of Apache based on @Reg Big Chief layout. Similar game but different features and also a hi-lo gamble. Available in Downloads
  21. Thanks for the video. There was another machine called Apache that used this display but I've never seen one. Also the cabinet for this has a cutout for a Number Reel but this was covered up in the machine that I had, so I'm not sure if that was ever present. Perhaps a cost cutting measure? Also interesting is that the Plasma display driver board uses a 68K CPU which is way more powerful than the 6809 used in the MPU4 itself.
