Building an idea WibbleWobble's MFME Cabinet build
slasher replied to WibbleWobble's topic in Cabinet Building
Looking good! Nice that you've managed to overcome the issue -
To be fair I didn't research the model, but I've had no real issues with Lenovo. I've actually added them to my recommended list of brands for laptops, however, I tend to avoid the home use ones and go with the professional business ones. I've always had business laptops regardless of brand as I find they last longer.

I should imagine this will be ok? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174375831710

I tend to use B for cash or bust on the DONDs and if there's a bonus button, N for that
-
Yes, after resetting go into configuration and tick trusted on coin mech, note mech and hopper then open cash and service doors, wait for it to load to "read meters?" Or "demo" then close said doors again
-
They dont crash, they just need everything Des pairing up again

Yes, the games you have mentioned are scorpion 6. The roms are encrypted in a new way and most of them also have whats called a TLD. Basically that's a time limited dongle. Bellfruit got greedy and decided to charge operators per year, a bit like how most paid anti virus programs work

This isn't the right section for these questions mate. If you haven't already, you'd be best posting a good intro post (see the newbie pinned topic) and waiting for members to vote you in. We do this to avoid leechers and idiots.
-
I doubt they'll be powerful enough to run most roms

That is amazing!!!

Does MFME not stand for Multiple Fruit Machine Emulator? If so, you've got "Emulator" twice much like when people say "PIN Number" Also yeah, I don't like the logo text but it's not my ad or money, so my opinion here probably doesn't really count lol

Hi mate! You've been here ages! We don't bite you know take part in some more discussion when you get back in again, or even simply say thank you to the layout creators when you download them and you won't find yourself in this boat again

slasher replied to jason field's topic in Newbies Help Area
My laptop has 8GB of RAM and an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4300U CPU @ 1.90GHz CPU and runs things absolutely fine, so would say go for something similar -

All in one are terrible in general. Monitor goes and you've an expensive paperweight. With a normal pc at least components can be replaced easily. Sure monitors shouldn't go in this day and age but you'd be surprised -
All machines emulated are shown in the "Layout Gallery" at the top To save you scrolling, here's the link https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/gallery/category/5-mfme-layouts-images/ Also, next time you ask, a please would be good

Building my first Fruit machine - New Member
slasher replied to craignicholls's topic in Cabinet Building
Crikey! That looks great! You may want to post it in a new topic under the cabinets section as these intro topics get archived. Is it going to have a working coin mech/hopper/etc? -
Yes case is very yellow and has some marks, however it does have the memory expansion cartridge. Will have a look and list the games it has. Each game I believe also has the original box albeit collapsed, but still nice to have. There's some tapes with it too, as the previous mentioned cassette drive which has the original box including the polystyrene. Probably worth holding onto it for a few more years? Need to get it tested but need time and motivation for that lol! @Reg can this be moved to 8-bit please? Sorry for posting it in the wrong place, assumed it was right but said machine is even older than me so.. Lol

Just had a look. It's the Vic 20. It has a fair few games with it including boxes and the cassette player which also has its original box!

Don't you just hate it when someone that hasn't a clue spawns a big win by doing stupid stuff while you're patiently waiting for the machine to become free?! Especially when it's an undeserved win like you describe!
