The positive comments are well deserved
The actual colour doesn't matter too much so long as the contrast is quite strong. I've gone for pure white on high-voltage which is perfectly readable but might look a bit artificial to some people.

This brings back memories from school.
During our PE/games lesson we were allowed to go 10-pin bowling. Somehow the teacher never seemed to be turn up - I suspect they were down the road getting a swift half.
Anyway, in the bowling alley was one of these monsters. I never did seem to win on it
