  1. It's extremely upsetting It's not fair he doesn't get to see all the people he's made happy. My eyes are tearing up because I'm thinking about if he passed feeling like he wasn't done yet. He put all this effort into making MFME and he doesn't get to see all the happiness he's caused, it just isn't fair I hope in his final moments he felt complete, that he said to himself "There, I finished it. I'm ready to go", and then went to sleep with a smile on his face knowing he's made, and will continue to make, people happy. I hope he didn't feel like he wasn't ready. It's such a sad world. If anyone reads this who feels they're near the same fate, know you are loved. If you feel alone, know there's people out there who would gladly give you a big hug if they could.

Here's 5 layouts for Poundstretcher - one of Concept's unique games. It's kinda like Bar X but with XXX being replaced by '£££' and paying random amounts based on the cash amounts around the top glass. I say 'random', but the game is compensated and the amounts are almost certainly pre-determined. I think earlier ROMs possibly did have more of a 'random' element. In fact the non-session ROMs included should have the 'run' (main streak) trigger 'at random'. Don't hold me to that though! As with other Casino ROMs, these will give 'ERR-01' on first boot. Either reset the layout (Ctrl+R) or reopen the layout to clear it. £5 jackpot at 10p/20p play. £35 jackpot at 30p play. £50 jackpot at 30p/50p/£1 play. £70 jackpot at 30p/50p/£1 play. £100 jackpot at 50p/£1 play. The ROMs and GAM files are named according to the ROM types as I catalogued them. To help deciper them : 'PS_CASINO_50P_70_NON_SESSION_FLAT_88' = PoundStretcher CASINO cabinet 50P play 70 pound jackpot NON SESSION (random streak trigger), FLAT game profile and 88% payout. Thanks : Thanks to @Wizard for the emulator, thanks to everyone who plays and enjoys my layouts, and thanks to those who don't play and can't stand them! Thanks to @Ginge for previous help, suggestions, and playtesting of previous Concept releases. Note I forgot to include the top-fluorescent lit gradient that @Gingeprovided in the ZIP files, so it's available as a little 42kb BMP file as part of this download if you prefer a more 'authentic' reel gradient! Thanks to the anonymous ROM providers (you know who you are!), as well at the anonymous artwork provider (cheers!). Thanks to @Reg and everyone else here. Making layouts is something I actually do to unwind. A bit like I spent most of my youth in arcades trying to escape reality, now tinkering with these in MFME and Photoshop keeps me sane

So here it is my first layout (well technically second as my first was Rich & Famous many many moons ago). Its been great fun to be able to do layouts again especially with the new tools in MFME. Lamping is so much easier nowadays compared to years ago! Decent photos were used for stitching together and the reels were recreated from scratch. NAME: Overload MANUFACTURER: Barcrest CABINET: Genesis SYSTEM: MPU 5 STAKE: 30p 85% £25 Jackpot Thanks to the following for help with the layout: @Wizard For the greatest emulator ever coded. @Steveir For the classic layout which I used for the lamp numbers and configuration. @infection For pointing me in the direction of the artwork @BL4K For the YouTube video which I used many times for reference @vectra666 For help with the overlays and testing @slotsmagic For the reel images @bungle For Lamping help and general guidance. In memory of Chris J. Wren Thanks go to.. Wizard for MFME Geddy & Bugs for their classic (used as a base for this) Shortcuts included in the text file This was redrawn from the flyer by me in 2008 and has sat on an old hard drive since, a case of me being disillusioned by the fact that the more elements i had to redraw i felt no closer to where it should be. So i have decided to release it the way it was finished back then, probably a purists nightmare.. Take it for what it is.. Nick. **Update** Should be fixed now, knew i would cock it up.

Here it is, I'm pretty happy with how it's come out. If anything is obviously wrong, let me know - I will update it if required! Only doing a £15 version at the moment, I will consider the £5 version later. NOTE - I designed this on my two gaming PCs, this is a UHD layout and does feature a fair few blended lamps so will potentially not run well on lower specced / older machines. I do apologise if that is the case! Thanks to @Reg for graphical advice and hints, and @Boulderdash for playtesting - do note that I have done some work on this after testing and may have introduced new errors, so again, if you find issues, let me know Notes copied from the layout :

  10. Just found this thread, will add some at a later date if I remember. Anyway Laura Brannigan had another hit with self control - sadly she is no longer with us having suffered a brain haemorrhage a number of years back.
