Hopefully, I have discovered what causes it. If you right click on the word "again" around the play it again button and choose properties, in shortcut box is P, if you right click in the box to clear it, then apply, it should stop that from happening.

If you confirm I'll re upload again.

I don't normally play with shortcut keys, only with mouse or touch, so that's why it never happened to me, in all the time I played it, when doing the layout.

    IM GETTING ALARM 90

Strange, that alarm is like an on/off alarm, when the doors are opened and closed in quick succession.

Normally will only happen once then on next load should be OK.

If it doesn't clear it, then try ctrl r to reset the machine.

Well spotted, as the reels are an exact match, it must be missing on Tommys Back to the Features layout. It's present on Pandy's version. I've uploaded another version of the layout.

@woodsyam I playing these wrong or is there a problem when u play the numbers 1 to 6 on the right hand side light up even if u have no sinbads on the winning line it happens on both machines.

    Please advise sir.

    Example in the pic attached

    20240218_214239.jpg

The numbers are randomly added by the machine, even when nothing is on the reels.

Not sure if Harry talks about it on the DX video, but he mentions it on the Sinbad classic layout video, from his degsy days.

What's the password? MFME 20 onwards doesn't read out the dialog boxes to me, but I get 3 errors, if I open tick tack cash in MFME V5, there is an invalid password. TECL Stream.load headers invalid password!

The layout will require v20.1 because it's been produced in that version. It won't work in earlier versions.

The error is basically the tech way of saying that.

There's an older Tik Tak Cash layout done years ago, that does work in V5.1

Sorry, but if you are just getting a black wall of death, how are you meant to empty any remaining funds from the bank??  (If there ever was any to begin with) I can tell you that this layout does NOT work!!  Continues to deliver a black wall of death :(

As I said previously, there was an issue for a short while to do with a Windows update.

The thread above was about it. Hopefully the info in it will help.

@Clo06 what Windows version are you running, may also give an indication of what it should definitely work on.

Works fine for me on a fully updated version of Windows 11.

Thanks for this Clo... I believe the DX mentioned above by Geordie52 runs in MFME v19, but not MFME v20 so will be nice to have a Reno Reels working in v20 now.

    Cheers,

    Gary.

    🎲🎲🎲

It does run in v20. For a very short while, there was a Windows update, that broke it, but now running fine.

Great layout and plays well, I vaguly remember this machine in booths amousements in Glasgow in the 90s and I'm pretty sure the high low reel spun before you picked high or low who lamp was turned off until you picked either high or low when the lamp was then lit to reveal the number... I also remember it had an indicator small blue dot which you could spot and tell what number it was well if it was an 11 or 12 or whatever the combination was really can't remember was soooo long ago.

Does anyone else have the same memory?

    Many Thanks

Yes it was called a Fair Play reel and Ace did it, on a few of there Watch For My Hidden Treasures machines. But as you say, some players worked out how to read the reel, so it was chipped out.

If you look on the Crimewatch, layout, you see it says Fair Play Reel, during the attract sequence.

See Harry Headwounds video on youtube about it.

Same, looked totally frozen like it had crashed tbf, took around 4-5 min for the rom to finish loading up, once loaded though all good.

This is basically replicating the real machine. That's how good the emulation is.

Much older versions of the emulator had a speed up function. That sounds good, but it was removed as it would have caused timing issues with some techs.

I was running the machine in windows 10, mfme 20.1.  Mfme 20.1 does not work in windows 8.1.  I have both operating systems installed on the same hard disk.  When I visit this site I use win 8.1, to play the games I shut down then load win 10.  Never had any problems with any of the other games.

    I'd download the layout again.

Don't do anything with the machine, like resetting the ram or opening doors, just try to load it.

For me, the longest pause is when it has BETNITHP 1.4 on the alpha

When trying to load this in MFME 20.1, this comes up as a "blacklisted layout"? Not sure if anyone else has encountered this or not.

Yes some layouts are blacklisted, generally ones by Richy, but not all.

It's a long story, but they do work in v6.1 or V19.8.

He did update some of his layouts, so they now work in v20.1 or there may be an alternative layout released that isn't blacklisted in v20.1

Many thanks for this one. I think this is the first time I've seen a classic layout mixed with an image of the real machine.....

Is it know as a PCPDX (Part Classic Part DX)? :D

I think, it's been done in the past.

Dad actually created the base canvas layout, then offered it up and I didn't want to remove it.

It's not a bad idea, particularly as people, can close it off. Also in earlier version of MFME, it wasn't possible to close off the left hand side, only the right.

It saved me, having to keep looking in a separate window at the flyer to see where everything went, once I worked out the lamps.

He has a larger flyer, if you didn't know, so should be a DX for someone in the future.

I haven't seen the actual machine but from the gameplay it seems like there should be only one trail, but with a different colored light to represent the other bubble?

We did think possibly it is, I guess it still works correctly. Hopefully one day, we will get to see the machine.

I look in YooToob videos as I've got some layouts from a screenshot of a decent video or part of a clip of one to obtain the bits I need, such as the hammers on the Grab The Bank. I always look on eBay as well because sometimes people sell machines and there's occasionally an image of the machine there. :)

I didn't think you didn't look for images, I just thought I'd give other ideas on where to look. Hope you didn't mind.

Yeah I knew what you meant lol.

YouTube is the last resort for me, but I have found at least one, I was looking for.

Most of mine, seem to be test or rare machines, I do like a challenge lol.

What a shame back in the 70s and onwards we didn't have the Internet, smart phones and digital cameras.

Many thanks for this one. I tried to see if I could find any images of it anywhere and nope, not one. :(

Yes, I do look, including forum searches.

I always look through layout galleries here and download at other sites, to see if the machine has been emulated already.

Nearly been caught out a few times, particularly when the rom site have a machine labelled as say Mazooma, but once the blank layout has been created, the attract sequence starts and the matrix says QPS Interactive presents. Then I look in the QPS gallery and sure enough it's already been done, sometimes 10 years ago.

Quick question, how do I increase the volume after a RAM reset?

    Cheers

To turn the volume up, tick to open the S door, then when it's initialised and says refill, hit cancel. Then click on test (you may need to do it a few times). It'll go into test mode. Use the change stake button until it says 8.2 Volume, then press the start button. Use Collect/Cancel, Hold 1, to turn the volume up and down. Then press start when finished. Untick the S door to go back to normal play.

Huge Thankyou for this.. A request/question I'm sure there was a national lottery type clone of this machine, can anybody else remember it or link me to it please?

It's in the legacy layout section, but you need to be a donator, to access that area. Otherwise the layout producer can send it to you, but I'm not sure they are still around the forums.

really nice would love to see it in a complete machine but my graphic skill are like a 3 year old  🙂
    Many thanks a fun machine.

In the Legacy layout section, you will find a DX version of this, but due to the source artwork, it's at a low resolution, but it's still playable and I play it fairly regularly.

If you've a high screen res, you'll find Chloe layout a better option, particularly if you have dodgy eyesight.
