  8. Funny how things turn out. Used to love all of these, and still do, and 35 years later, I'm now pally with Rob Hubbard, Martin Galway, Matt Gray and was with Ben Dalgish until he passed away last October. Having Martin Galway etc, liking a post is nice! Looking forward to the Orchestra gig in Hull in June with Rob!!! - Get tickets if you're interested - https://www.8-bit-symphony.com/ Let me know if you go, meet up for a pint. NQ.
  9. Too flipping right it is. Still love playing it. NQ.
  10. That's not what I call a feature, to me anyway, is where you climb some sort of trail, and nudges is one of the "features" at the end of it. That's just what I would call a nudge now type. Nice site though, never saw it before. LineUp is probably an early one. In that you're climbing a trail, with feature holds etc, but you don't get it at the end. So, something like Big Shot maybe? Who knows, these days I can't remember sod all. These days I can't even remember me feet....and I've just come home, so I can draw the curtains, as I've transformed, overnight, into either of my Grandmothers...said he typing, with a smashing cardie on. NQ.
  11. When you say nudges, do you mean a nudges "feature", or the type of old Bellfruits, when it made the noise, you nudged like mad? NQ.
  12. You lot are nuts. The effort that's involved, is impressive!!! (on a side note, did some soldering yesterday for the first time in years. Ah, the smell of solder, flux, and burnt fingers!) NQ.
  13. Forgot the CDW 2x Creative drive. Now the younguns won't believe this, but, blank cds were 17 quid at the time. Sometimes it really was cheaper, just to order the game mail order or buy it at a show. Then a mate started professionally mastering grey cds. Blobby, Playdoh and Ghost compacts with 100's of games on for £30. Happy days....then instead of navigating to FTP dumpsites with file lists and ips, all of a sudden, the pages had graphics, and websites appeared............slowly on a 33.6k. NQ.
  14. For that spec, the 24meg stands out a mile, that must have been great! NQ.
  15. Bit late coming to PCs, didn't switch until 94, despite using them at college and uni.... when the Amiga had died on it's arse basically bit the bullet. Made a 486, DX4-100mhz, 4meg ram, 540meg IDE, Sound Blaster Pro and a Cirrus Logic gfx card. Doom on, sorted. Then a Pentium 90 had an accident coming off a lorry, used that for a bit. Duke Nukem on, sorted. Then I upgraded it, P166 MMX, mobo, memory, Voodoo GFX. Bought bits at a show, the chip along was 600quid. Quake on, aaaah, sorted. NQ.
  16. Broken keyboard? They're only a few quid to buy a new one. NQ.
  17. Yeah Mpu5, Mastertronic................although they did put out some shite, Quest For The Golden Eggcup? Which arse wrote that?............. Seriously though, some good names mentioned. I'm pretty much the same as Pook, I loved all the main ones Ultimate, Ocean etc, but liked the smaller ones, Odin, Vortex, CRL and DK Tronics. Talking of which, just played and completed Zombie Zombie, and 35 years on, the dual channel beep music, still has an edge to it. Slightly off key, works really well. NQ.
  18. Sinclair Loki was being worked on, but then scrapped when AMS Bought Sinclair in 86. The case was used in the plus 2, and the hardware inside became the Konix. If the Loki / Konix came out in 86 it would have been superb. When I saw the Konix at the PCW Show in 89, it was already too late then, 16bits had taken over. Same for the SAM, just released too late. NQ.
  19. I wanted all the ones that never were released. The Sinclair Loki, the C65, and the Konix. All 3 were superb in their own ways. C65 there's a LLE but of course no software apart from basic stuff. Konix, there's a cracking emulator for it, HLE, but not much available, even LN2 is brilliant, I've seen and heard it, but the person who has the dev disks won't release it for fear off being sued by John Twiddy! (30 years on, I've told him, I doubt System 3 care anymore ). Loki, nothing exists. Lookwise it came out as the +2, but that's all. The hardware was improved and used in the Konix! Real computers, I had them all at their peak. Spectrum 82-86, C64 83-88, ST 87-89, Amiga 87-92. Not bothered about the consoles. Used to have a massive retro collection. sp 48, sp 128, +2, +3. C64, c64c, c128d, cpc6128, st, amiga etc, all modded with sd drives, flogged the lot when I had to for financial reasons and now have every 8 and 16bit computer on a FPGA. Switch from Jupiter Ace to Amiga at the touch of a button etc. NQ.
  20. Aye, I've got the full sets of pretty much every computer magazine, worldwide, full Amtix to ZZapp or whatever. Good few Terabytes though. NQ.
  21. SSD boot drive bit the dust, done a complete reinstall, so starting from scratch, but can anyone post all the fonts MFME uses for all the layouts released so far? Got the main MFME one, but can't remember which layouts have which font in the zips, so if anyone can upload them in one zip/rar that would be great. Thanks, NQ.
