  1. 3 years already....  I wonder what wonders MFME v23 would of had if Wizard was still here?

Rest in peace Wizard if that's what happens after we pass out of this life, or maybe his soul is living a new life on this world or another one... I like to think that our body is like a car, and our soul that gives us our unique personality is like the driver of the "car" - so in the same way as we drive a car - when the car inevitably becomes knackered we go buy a new car and drive that, - maybe it's kind of the same with the body and the soul?.... they say we are eternal beings, so you never really know what happens.

Take care Wizard, wherever you are in the universe (or multiverse) - and a massive thank you for the gift you gave us all in MFME.

  2. I remember playing this in the Flamingo arcade in Margate years ago.... I was crap at it!

Played it on my PC using the Supermodel emulator but my computer is a 2007 Dell XPS so struggles to play it... ( the title sequence on Daytona 2 and the music gets out of sync on mine so the music has stopped way before the title sequence is done running)

I have always loved arcade racers especially Daytona USA , Outrun 2, Manx TT Superbike and many others.

By the way does MAME run GTI Club yet?  (Konami 1996) - It did'nt last time i looked but it's been a few years now.

    Cheers

    Gary. :)

That's right same for me - I was thinking yesterday how come I had the original but that's why

My Speccy was 2nd hand, my Dad bought it off his boss's son... it had about 45 games with it, - as far as i'm aware the Speccy never came packaged with Mad Martha as a brand new computer. - Someone correct me if i'm wrong tho... :)

    Cheers,

  4. When I got a ZX Spectrum (48k rubber key) for my Christmas present in 1985, Mad Martha was one of the games that came with it...( I've still got it all) -  My dad had played it the night before apparantly and he was amused by it saying "You can't do that, Mick!" when he'd type a command the game didn't understand! I played it quite a bit, back in the day, was not too good at it, tho but was able to break into the program and get it to run other parts of the game - there was an arcade style game in it that had you collecting £ signs while trying to avoid a cat that's after you... I used to do the same with Pimania as there was a few arcade games in that i believe. I'd of never of found them through normal play as i'm shit at adventure games!

Play adventure games as intended? - you can't do that Gary! 🤣

I will have to take a moment to view that video later, Reg. Should be interesting.

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  5. @andrew96that's cool, but can it be used as a common ground for the parts in a cabinet build? (Hoppers, LED's for buttons, given they use different voltages such as 24v and 12v) - Preferably without damaging anything like I-Pacs, PacDrives? I know you are more of a real fruit machine person tho perhaps some other people who have made MFME cabs will know such as @WibbleWobble, @123, @Reg, @No1Stoney, @uptown47, @Amusements, @davep180,

(went to the show us your build thread to pull up some names as well as some i knew off top of my head)

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  6. This is something of interest for me too as one day i hope to undertake a cabinet build, so will be watching this topic as i had a similar idea as you by using a plug that's connected to the earth of the plug socket... such as one of these...

... and connecting all the ground wires to that.

As the voltages are different for the different parts (hoppers 24v, LED's for button LEDs 12v, Pacdrive and I-Pac 5v) I was'nt sure if it's safe to do (like you i don't want to blow anything up).

Sorry for not having an answer for you myself Slotsmagic... hopefully someone will be along soon to give a proper answer. :)

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  7. I don't know if just anyone can buy from this company Suzo Happ or weather they have to be a business to buy from them,  but they seem to have a lot of stuff that would be great for cabinet builds from hoppers to coin mechs and something i like the look of are the proper large square buttons which i prefer the look of compared to the large square buttons that Arcade world do.

    https://oem.suzohapp.com/products/hoppers/cube-hopper-mk2/

    https://oem.suzohapp.com/products/buttons-decks-and-dps/buttons/stc-pushbuttons/

The Arcade World buttons have a thick black border on the buttons which i don't like but the Suzo Happ buttons look like the proper ones on fruit machines with a thin border.

    Anyway, just a thought anyway...

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  8. Looks very good... I am following this with interest. :)

Will I be able to use it on a machine that's not connected to the internet? - (reason i say that is because my Windows 10 PC is for MFME only and i got fed up with Microsoft update keep making my PC lose it's ability to have sound so the internet is 100% out of bounds to it and has been for 2 years -  I won't let Microsoft touch my PC again! lol)

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  9. Nice MFME Keyboard you made there, @Dis - nothing like having real light up buttons is there!

@Y33tzy There are also a few threads in the cabinet building section that show people's MFME keyboard (and Cabinet) builds - my MFME Keyboard thread is here, if you fancy a look. - can't wait to see what you come up with!

    All the best,

    Gary.

  10. I will be interested to see if there is any specific tech by tech "set in stone" way to do this - it seems to vary machine to machine.... a quick search for "volume" brings up different threads and they seem to have different ways of changing volume.

I had a tinker this morning with some random machines and couldn't find volume settings on any of them but know i have done on other in the past...

Maybe what you're looking for is in the search results... link to the search is here...

  11. Hello, @JangoFetty- I am thinking someone like @Chopaholicwould be very good at explaining to you what you need to know, however i did a quick search and found the meaning of drift at least for you... there may be other good info in the thread i screenshotted this from so here is the thread and a screenshot.

Hope it helps, the in and out should represent the coin in and out values, i think say the in meter said 20000 and you put a £1 coin in, it counts up 10 units to 20010 so i think 1 unit represents 10p. and similar with the out meter - if a meter isn't changing when putting money in or collecting money out then it's probably a layout where the fml designer didn't set the meters up properly on... all educated guesses as i'm no expert on this...

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  12. Good topic, @spa

The site had about 4,400 members for ages then recently it's been going up & up & up to the 4,870 we have today.... where are they all coming from???? I'm interested to find out!

I use TikTok alot but a search for fruit machine emulator only brings up videos from 3 creators including myself... another i recognise from here, @World of Vp but that's pretty much it.. and i only did 2 videos of it... so anyone here on TikTok, we need to spread the word more i think...

maybe i should make some showing me playing MFME with the MFME Keyboard i made...

    Cheers,

    Gary.

  13. Hi @Road Hog Mad... I think you are correct.

I haven't got a coin mech, but the buttons on my MFME Keyboard which use microswitches are wired like this diagram which i put in my thread about building my MFME Keyboard...

    CO = GND

    NO = IPAC

Image attatched for reference... i drew a small pic of the microswitch at bottom of diagram as a key.

    Hope it helps :)

    All the best,

    Gary.
