  1. I understand what happened mate. The button numbers aren’t configured like Pound For Pound, Pound for Pound has the exchange button tied with hold button 3, that’s why you would have problems exchanging any win. J
  2. Check out Geddy's rom .dat file. It should include all roms we have. J
  3. There isn't anything particularly special about the 04 version play wise apart from the plugging exploit. Great to have it available though J
  4. A number of them have already emulated. Check the layout release thread. What are you after? J
  5. I thought you were having issues with a button not working on the layout you loaded the roms into. Open the Box might have the same button configs J
  6. Lob them in Open the Box, it’s possibly a better match up. J
  7. You don’t have to worry about the layouts as Geddy has been organising these for many, many years. Suggest we update all the layouts lol. What are you doing to help . There are a few thousand I believe. J
  8. There won’t be any created specifically for a twin screen setup. I have the same setup at the minute but not sure if I have any plans to release anything for this profile. Have you loaded a layout up and just let mfme fill both screens? J
  9. Thanks Geddy, really appreciated Stay safe bud. J
  10. A series of short vids on how to :- load roms stake/price of play and percentage and any other handy tips would be good for people who don’t create layouts but like to tinker around with roms etc. J
  11. I got this up and running and have spent a treat deal of time with a few of my favourite games today... Wonderboy Rygar Wardner R-Type Phoenix Too many great games... loving some classic arcade games at the minute, brilliant escape J
  12. I started this at 7pm. I had the parts all ready so was a quick little project. I had to take gut the looks that were fitted and take apart a case for it’s motherboard mount, drill lots of rivets out!!!! Plus had to drill some holes for joystick and buttons. The cab already had nice speakers so have repurposed those too. I might get a little 2:1 setup, I’ll be needing some bass for sure J
  13. OK, so I decided to turn my (non working) SG Nevada T7 cab into mame and dual screen mfme. I have a multitouch digitiser on way to handle the touch required for proper mfme use. I plan on investing in one of these ‘casino buying decks’ when I can find a supplier. This would be a game changer for mfme cab, the button deck is basically a really wide and short pcap monitor so button panel can be designed in mfme like normal :). Button Deck.... need!!! Below are just pics of where I am. This was one of the simpler builds as it was pretty much all in place. I added a fairly old hi-spec machine* and drilled some holes for arcade buttons, I do have a trackball coming, looking forward to some marble madness If I manage to source a button deck this will take over and it will become a dedicated mfme cab Also I’m having this unit resprayed in white, it will look sexier than it does. * Here are the PC specs, the pc parts came in at £50, which was a bit of a bargain to be fair. Gigabyte GA-Z68 1155 motherboard with sandybridge i5 2500K, I don’t plan on overclocking it, though it is an excellent chip for that. 8gb ddr3, 128gb SSD drive and I repurposed a 250 watt PSU, I’m not adding a graphics card just yet but this board can run 2 graphics cards in SLI mode, a bit overkill for what it will be used for ;). Will need to add a bigger PSU if I add graphics. J
  14. I’m selling an Acer T27THL, it’s pretty 27” IPS, 10 point multitouch with excellent touch response. I’ve used used it in portrait mode for mfme. But I just don’t use it unfortunately ;( J
  15. I don’t know why people hate DOND so bad, there are so many I guess, but a lot of them are different in many ways. The £25 and £35 era were very playable. Not really played any £70 or £100 but most of £100 are boring. J
  16. Yeah, you could cheat Gamball on the actual machine. There is also a BGT UK slot called Random Replay, the cash repeat was a genuine chance Bagatelle type feature. Was a decent machine. J
  17. Yeah, it didn't really give the player the edge at all. It was well implemented and the machine could never go out of percentage as it would just go tight on reel wins to compensate for any lucky true skill gambles. Chops has done a great video on the machine and tries to cheat the machine. Check it out! J
  18. Yes there were some Ace Coin machines that offered a ‘fair play’ hi lo reel in the 90’s. It would pre choose the gamble outcome, the reel was darkened, you chose hi or low then the reel would be revealed. It didn’t cheat as it pre spun the number. Pre 80s non computer based machines were just as rigged, even more so, you could make it so a machine couldn’t land a certain jackpot reel position. That’s a complete scam to the player. J
  19. Not me unfortunately mate ;(. I might be able to source these roms from an old contact. Will speak to him next week and let you know Al J
  20. I have a 4K monitor but usually run 1440p. I do create 4K ready artwork for my rotated 4K screen, that’s 3480 pixels deep, source art needs to be excellent quality for best results, no point in making a 4K layout with inferior quality artwork. I don’t think you require 4K for mfme. Most people use a landscape display, so there is so much lost real estate as fruit machines are taller than wider. A decent option is to just rotate a 1080p display, this will give you 1280 pixels deep. J
  21. If your device can handle Win 8.1 then it can definitely handle Win10. Why can't you upgrade to Win10? I think there is still a way to get the free Win10 update. You are sacrificing literally any new layout released from now on, Wizard is not going to be catering for any other OS going forward, if you want to stay playing mfme then you need to update your OS, it's a no brainer. Seriously you can buy a second user Win 10 license key for around £10. Maybe cheaper on ebay. J
  22. I’m pretty sure Win 10 would be fine on a 2012 laptop. You can buy a second user license for cheap. I bought a license online for £12 a few years ago. J
  23. My touch screen is p cap 10 point touch, you wouldn't notice any latency when interacting with it, mine is extremely responsive. J
  24. You really need two 5:4 aspect ratio screens. Or a big single 5:4 aspect ration in portrait mode. I've looked into it and it is frustrating as 4:3 and 5:4 are both fairly expensive if you want multitouch screen enabled. I was also looking for a wide and narrow touchscreen for a virtual touchscreen button area, just can't seem to find any sources. Possible Ali Express etc, but that could be a potential nightmare. I have a large 27" Acer screen T272HL. 1280x1920, running in portrait mode. It's about 300 pixels too tall, ideally I want 1280x1600. The easiest way to fudge it would be to have some artwork about the machine, maybe a cab logo. I don't want any physical buttons on my build. J
