  1. Nothing like being nicked at Kings Cross for emptying a £4.80 Pay Rise and a £4.80 Hi-Flyer on lines and having to go to court after being nicked on a tube escalator. They wanted me to show them how to do it in court(yeah right, fuck off) as the Ace engineers or whoever supplied the machines(could of been Associated Leisure but can't remember) tried in court and ended up throwing it out as they hadn't a damn clue hehehe. The shit I went through lol but still went back several days later to emptying them again but in its place they stuck Hi-De-Hi and Camelot in there both on £4.80 and doable on lines AGAIN! Yes emptied then barred then passed them on to my one of my acquaintances who emptied them for several weeks and I still got a good cut . Never mind as had shit loads of others to do, so fuck em!!!

  2. I stopped plugging after 4 bouncers held me and my mate against our will and made us empty our pockets, went through our personal belongings and searched us, again all against our will. They wouldn’t call the police, horrible experience that left us a bit shook up. The crazy thing was we weren’t plugging anything, the barman didn’t like us playing in this pub but to subject to this was nasty. Could have just asked us to leave. J

  3. I loved Apache, remember it very well, it was a better game, Big Chief was a bit low like a low tech, Apache you could gamble and exchange wins. Excellent video as usual, love these vids, I find them very interesting and you always do some homework beforehand. Many thanks Al J

  4. I must admit, I learnt a few bits from that last video, I had no idea that Apache wasn't just a reskin of Big Chief, until l watched the video. Certainly does improve on the Big Chief gameplay. Pretty sure I played an Apache in real life. Did it come in exactly the same cabinet, colour and everything else? Never noticed the hi-lo reel cut out and feature exchange points on the Big Chief cabinet before. I wonder if Big Chief was rushed out as a bit of a tester and the gameplay already thought up, saved for a secondary machine, namely Apache, providing Big Chief was a hit. Looking at the even better use of the DMD in Apache, they were really impressive for the time and if in a machine in colour nowadays, still would be. I thought the Ace DMDs were good (which they were), but seeing these Barcrest one again after all these years, they aren't quite as impressive.

  5. I’d say Clickety Click was released after Big Chief actually. Don’t think Clickety Click was ever released on £4.80 jackpot whereas Big Chief was initially released on £4.80. J
