There aren't any as far as I know.

You should have a look at The MFME for new designers guide by Reg and have a go. It'll show you how to create a non graphical "classic" layout

It's how I managed to produce my first layout for MFME, after I had been a member on the FME scene for 16-17 years beforehand. I've now done about 50 layouts.

All the graphical DX layouts we have, start by either the DX author or someone else, producing a classic layout for the machine beforehand.

If you manage to get a classic layout done, do post it, even if it's the one from the guide. Then if interested in doing a graphical DX layout, then I'm sure our DX layout designers will help you out.

There is/was a basic old video showing how to dx it’s by Ross I think showing a lo tech over the moon layout but it gave a little glimpse into dxing and help me on my travels through creation

as for a full video I doubt it’ll ever happen as to much is involved in the process to do it step by step

all you need is reasonable graphical skills ie be able draw a stick man like me lol

I'd be willing to put a video together, but bear in mind we all have our own way of doing things, and mine would probably not the be right / fastest / easiest way.

It would be more of a 'here's what I do when I make a layout' rather than what is probably the correct way of doing things. A lot of it could be sped up / cut out, you don't need to see me lassoing around a hundred lamps, applying my lighting effect to each one for example :)

Currently owned digitals : T7 Encore, T7 Original, Astra iPub and Storm Street Casino.

MFME cabinets : Genesis cab DIY by No1Stoney, Interplay conversion and Vegas Strip conversion (both are works in progress!)

Hi Just wondering if there's any videos of you guys working on the Layouts/ artworks etc for the slots i find this very enjoyable and interested in how you guys put all this together.

Keep up with the great work

Kind regards Jon

A video would probably take so long it’d put you off! But I do have a write up I did that is step by step for club ceasers palace with loads of screen shots for the whole process that I did with another user, I’m happy to share that with you, it’s for anyone with Photoshop and has start to finish explicit instructions, but even with that the first thing in my guide which I repeated the importance of before starting is to follow reg's classic guide start to finish first before trying to dx, it Is the best thing to do imo

I can share my own guide for you to read it will get you a working game if you follow the instructions and you can get your head around the parts that are down to your hand and ability to use the tools in Photoshop etc but it’s not worth doing anything until you have done the classic machine in regs guide. Otherwise you won’t be able to make it run, the art is separate from the setting side

There was a good tutorial back in 2005, by fme designer Scorpio, i printed the entire tutorial out one afternoon back in the day (took 2 sets of ink cartridges to print!), although it's not a video.

It helped me make my 1st and only classic layout of BFM's Daylight Robbery, even tho i did'nt make it very well, - but it worked -  the damn thing worked! :)

The site is still available on archive.org's wayback machine, (link above) tho sadly it's missing the images, but still has all the text to read.

Maybe someone else on here managed download all the tutorial at the time in html format - i wish i had now, tho i still got the paper copy i made.

I play tested a few of Scorpio's layouts back in the day. One of them was the MPU4 machine, Rich and Famous.

https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/files/file/892-rich-famous-1280-wdx/

They were a very good DX'r, who just came out of the blue.

Then they seemed to disappear off the scene, for no obvious reason (i.e not involved in any arguments etc and I think it was during one of the scenes calm periods too). I hope they are ok and I hope perhaps they are still around under a new name or will rediscover the scene once again.
