  1. Or Return of the Pink Panther (correct name I think) which when you got nudges had a ticking bomb, rather than a specific amount of nudges. That's emulated in classic form.
  2. Changed my like to an awesome after reading that. A bit like when Retro Gamer Forums gets a post from an ex game programmer.
  3. That is such an involved emptier, surely it's got to have been programmed in deliberately and insider information given. I can't see how anyone could work it out. Even if they did work it out, how they would have remembered the steps to achieve it. Having said that it's difficult to imagine someone coming up with such a complex routine, in the first place. There must be some very cunning and clever minds out there lol.
  4. An easy fix for Fortune Numbers, go into edit mode and open configuration, under where it says, display port, make sure Meters is selected (you'll probably find it is on Displays). Then reload the layout. You might find that will work for some other MPU3 machines also. If you have a pink background under the number 11, in edit mode, when you place the cursor over the 11, right click on it, choose properties and if you click in the white box on the right hand side above where it says, font, you'll find the cursor will go to the second line, simply backspace to delete the space and click apply. The lamps are close together so if you don't quite click right, you might open up the properties for 6 instead.
  5. Yes, I asked Pete W if he would put it back up, after it's last long outage. https://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/index.php?/topic/18340-official-donations-thread-2017/page-3 It contains some useful information about machine emulated years ago, with release threads etc, giving pointers sometimes to issues with layouts from years ago, plus some tips for old machine, that if you haven't fired up in the emulator for a long time, you may have forgotten about. It's a good read, albeit, painful in parts for some of us, with some of the real slanging matches us members got into.
  6. My horrible addiction stage, lasted from 1990 until the giving up fruit machines thread on FF at the end of 2008.http://www.fruitforums.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?31809-Giving-up-the-fruit-machines-for-2009 Gambled every penny I had, plus the banks, also for me, I never knew or learnt any tricks/bugs etc, to make any of my money back for all those 28 years. Certainly by mid 2000's, if not slightly before, online though was my real addiction. Offline addiction was down to the reasonably mild stage, by the mid 2000's for me. I'll be 48 in June and all things staying equally, I should be able to retire in my mid 50's, 57 at the latest. When the above thead started, was 38 and in thousands of pounds worth of debt.
  7. Another entertaining video. The part about Mrs Degsy winning your money, still makes me chuckle even writing this, even though It's such a shocking and horrible thing to think, but I'm sure so many of us can relate to it. Well done for bringing it up and admitting. I too would have rather she lost and had to get more money out. Gamblers logic is completely ridiculous and unlogical.
  8. I guess they called it soccer because it's strange but even Sky have soccer in a lot of their programs about Footy. Don't know why but always had it in my head, Football wouldn't be your thing Ploggy.
  9. Another entertaining video. TBH both machines have pluses and minuses to them. Reloading the layout was a bit of a drastic action lol. I dislike any machine that just spins in the jackpot, such a lazy, unentertaining way to achieve it. I'm sure even back in the day, I used to think oh well jackpot, not great got the jackpot. Could be wrong, but one final machine of these, I think, the Sky Sports version, with Andy Gray and Richard Keys iirc. Not sure if it's a straight rebadged clone of one of these though. Would love to see them dx'd one day, such colourful machines from what I remember.

    Errors

Go into edit mode, right click on the number reel and choose properties and make sure that Reversed, Horizontal and Flipband are ticked. If you are finding the main reels are out of sync, or go out of sync, again in edit mode, right click on each reel, choose properties and make sure that 1 is in the opto tab box , along with Reversed and Flipband ticked. If you still have problems, I'll up my layout which is fine, but did need some of above changes made. EDIT, the lamp numbers for pears and grapes on the wintable are the wrong way around, Pears should be 13, Grapes 8
  11. I agree, I didn't like this bunch of machines either, although they did have a streak on them £40 - £50 if IIRC, which was really huge at the time. The Rovers Return, also had real character sounds or very good impressionists to do them, unlike the boring Coronation Street sounds. Unlike say Barcrest who still came up with great machines in the lates 90's and 2000's such as it's red/blue trail machines, NHP, Eastenders et al, were the last great Maygay fruitys IMO. It was all downhill from there, even though, they did have some strong licences, such as The Simpsons.
  12. Not sure if Instant Win is £6 jackpot, but it's not a favourite machine, being a clone of Rovers Return Also not a very good DX.

    777 Heaven

Only thing I can think of, did you do a ram reset on this? If you did, redownload it and don't ram reset. Ram resetting, means you have to set up certain aspects of the machine again.
  14. Ouch. Well done on quitting since February, I really hope it continues for you. I get where you are coming from enjoyment wise.I do genuinely still do enjoy the thrill of winning a set of free spins and a feature. That's why I still gamble a few times a year and enjoy a casino trip or the odd go online. But that's the thrill of the gamble and still a waste of money. I honestly thought all the long term and well known members of FME were now casual players or just don't play at all. So it's sad to see you still struggling with it. Hopefully with so much to do in MFME and FME so much more alive again it'll go some way to helping you stay quit.
  15. Highly likely be the roms. Not my sort of machine, but unless things have changed since they were released they use Concept roms not Electrocoin ones. Looking at comments around the FME forums they play differently. IIRC on boot up the little display which shows how many plays you have shows CP (Concept I assume)
  16. @Chopaholic Oh dear, that's not good, I've a feeling your low ebbs are going to make mine look like meer blips.
  17. The great thing is that most of us have now well and truly moved on. We can look back with regret, or say well that was me back then, but not anymore. For me, playing these old fruit machines, still bring back memories of good times, good places, good people. Nearly every machine I play in the emulator, will take me back to where I played it, who was there and many with a story about holidays, nights and days outs, missed transport, spending my fast food money or going without that purchase I went out to get in the first place. TBH, even the low or bad moments, are now not painful to think or talk about.
  18. I agree with A:E, very easy to relate to, particular in the 90's. Then I was between 20-30, and risked getting a criminal record, jeopardising friendships/relationships and my job which I've now be in for over 30 years and most of that for the sake of £4.80-£6 jackpot fruit machines.
  19. I don't think I ever saw, let alone played That's Life. So surprised a big branded (at that time) machine like Eastenders, wasn't available the length and breadth of the country. Careful, you could find that 5-10 minutes, leading to 20-30, or 30-45 minutes.
  20. TBH, you could probably do a series on the whole lot, all from the best era of Maygay IMO, by quite some way.
  21. Enjoyed this video. Played in that arcade, when I used to go up and watch City play. Had a couple of bad losses and sort of ruined the day/weekend, even if City won. The preamble story was a good listen, I'm sure many of us can definitely related to it. A few nights out ruined before they started or ended early due to fruity playing beforehand. As for the machine, I remember once me and a girl I used to work with, were playing machines in an arcade in Reading. Eastenders was behind us and both of us jumped, when suddenly Pat Butcher said "Got the time darling", which is one of the voices the machine says at random when the attract mode had been running for a while.
  22. Good to hear, I gave it a bash and produced my first layout after 17 years of being around fruit machine emulation.
  23. I think it was only released for JPEMU. A very quick incomplete conversion (pays 20p's only), button skins, coin mech not present. Just to show what it is and looks like Monopoly_60_SE_-_JPEMU_CONVERSION.zip
  24. Would love to see this machine, receive a modern a 1280 + DX of it. My current layout of choice for this machine, by £6 in tokens.
