  1. Yep, Wizard has made some amazing steps, so I'm sure if it can be done, it will be. I remember during emulator testing, receiving a version of the emulator that was a bit slow on certain layouts, he sent back another version within hours, that completely got rid of the slowdown. I would say, that Indiana Jones, lamp wise is much more complex than Hi Ho Silver was, not just the amount of lamps, but the quality of them as well. Plus a much greater sized image. So to me, I think although perhaps it the same issue, if he had to make changes that meant 10% improved lamp performance for Hi Ho, then it's more like 100% for Indiana. Although of course, I speak with no experience or knowledge, so could be talking utter bollocks.
  2. Another entertaining video. I remember years ago, trying for hours to get the win series in the emulator and failing. So many circumstances have to happen for it to stand a chance. I'm not even sure I've had £5 or Nudge Time either. If I have it would have been ultra rare. I was playing the layout, while watching the video and took Pathway to Riches. I thought that was a bit more difficult to follow than I remember, then you had the same thing as me, not being 100% sure, from the middle path of the feature. Perhaps it's old age. This is definitely the ultimate version of this machine for the emulator, but due to the slowdown, I have kept the dural version, which still looks great today.
  3. 1/ The issue of the payout sounds can be sorted, by opening the layout, going into design, edit mode, then under the configuration tab, unchecking both hoppers. Come out of configuration screen and edit mode and save the layout. 2/ The doors open issue, must mean you have old layouts, that may have been updated, so check for newer versions. If no newer version is available, you can sort out the issue, by entering the switch numbers. Again, go into edit mode and open the configuration tab and enter the switch numbers for service and cash. I've attached a document, with all the Scorpion 4 issues, that I knew about, with information on switch settings and those layouts that need the hoppers unchecked. Over at fruit-emu, I started a thread, which now contains tons of information regarding switch numbers for most Scorpion 4 layouts as well as lots of other fix information for various layouts on different techs. https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/index.php/topic/52784-layout-diy-fixes/ SCORPION 4.zip
  4. 1/ Go into edit mode. 2/ Then right click on the layout, choose buttons/button. It will create a button. 3/ Right click on that button and choose properties. 4/ Then from the coin/note drop down box, select the type of coin. For Scorpion 4, bit0 1 is £1, bit 1 2 is 50p, bit2 4 is 20p, bit3 8 is 10p. You can naturally just repeat steps 2-4 to create several buttons.
  5. It was still fun to watch, but I guess didn't have a lot of preamble and you had no memories of the real machine. Perhaps I'm just being moany, but I'll just say if an emptier video of a machine was out there already, I'd still watch your video as preference, because of the style you do them in.
  6. LBO, I think is License Betting Office (bookies). I believe the attract mode is toned down on them. So I guess in an environment where you don't want a load of flashing lights.
  7. A bit of a rushed out feel to this one. Still enjoyable though.
  8. Whilst it maybe ungrateful to forgot mentioning the emu author and layout designer, I really don't see any other issue. Hopefully it'll still lead to a few people seeking out FME.
  9. Be interesting if there is. Can't see anything in the gallery or in downloads here and at fruit-emu. Looked under Jackpot Hi Roller, Hi Roller Club, also under the JPM & Crystal galleries and can't see anything. Ross did a couple of versions of the AWP.
  10. Here's another one that unless I'm going mad, has never seen an MFME release in classic or DX form. A conversion of Pook's JPEMU Jackpot Hi Roller. It's basically the club version of the Impact tech machine, Hi Roller. Done the usual MFME changes, such as graphical clickable buttons and coin mech, updated alpha, but as ever all credit goes to Dxcellent man himself Pook. Jackpot Hi Roller.zip
  11. Why don't they just do a Spectrum Mini with a working keyboard, a joystick and games for £59.99 or similar.
  12. I've answered your other post on this subject
  13. A long overdue tribute to Dad. I do remember the electromechanicals from the 70's as I was born in 70. But emulated they are definitely not for me. Utterly incredibly ridiculous that they can be played on our pc's emulated.
  14. https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2158-hi-roller-dx-jpm-mps2/&tab=comments#comment-13277 For Hi Roller.
If we are talking the machine, it's a 1 star. But again with pretty poor resources, this has turned into a decent DX.
  15. It was worth asking the question anyway. We've seen plenty of "surely that wont/can't be emulated" comments over the years, but Wizard has continued to surprise, so SC6 etc... I guess you never know. It's also worth collecting pictures and roms etc of unemulated techs, as even the latest machines will become vintage one day. Many of the machines emulated over the past few years, both old from the 70s and 80s and new machines from the past 10 years, weren't emulatable until 2016 onwards, but thankfully people still collected resources for them.
  16. Another entertaining video. One of the few clubbers I played back in the day, largely because I loved the AWP. Also definitely played it on a ferry. I knew ferries like motorway services had lowest %s, but didn't think they could go below 70%.
  17. I played all around the West End of London from 1988 to 2009ish from Edgware Road to Leicester Square via Oxford Street and China Town and sometimes on to The Strand. Always had people trying to advise. People who wanted a quid after I won, never mind the hundreds I'd done in the past hour or two. Druggies always trying to get a quid, yeah mate I'm a different sort of addict so piss off, that quid is going to get me the jackpot. Two guys who were helpful. One told me in the buffet at Paddington Station not to hold after nudge if holds flash on a lo-tech (it's emulated but can't remember the name ATM). That's when that so called secret came in around the £4.80 jackpot time. Another in an arcade in Oxford Street, told me not to leave a Pure Madness machine after I was well down on it , because the Madness symbols were starting to step down during the feature. Sure enough it went on a mad streak and I got most of my money back, I'd put in the machine. So there was the odd good samaritan lol.
  18. Just catching up with everything, Wow what a total raised. At least 3 times what I thought the final total would be.
  19. The frustrating thing is people not reading what has been written and sometimes written numerous times. Also the search box on the site, not being used. In this case a simple search for the word Doctor would have found Pooks layout.
  20. I do agree that it is findable by clicking around, I assume jon maybe didn't click on legacy layouts. But he may have and then not seen it after clicking on Bell Fruit and then Bell Fruit - D However, to make things a little easier, Is there a way of making the list appear after clicking on Bell Fruit - D. Or if not, maybe a change of description from download this file, to download a file. As unless you click on it, it does look like you'll be downloading a 367mb file, before you click on download this file and getting every Bell Fruit layout beginning with D.
  21. Click on downloads at the top of the screen, then on the right hand side you'll see legacy layouts. Click on Bell Fruit and then subcategory D and you'll find it under Dr Who Time Lord. In this case though, you're lucky because there is an uptodate Pook version for later emulators and you can get the complete layouts with roms, under the Dxcellent forums part of the website. In the search box at the top of screen, if you search for the word Doctor, you'll see the ninth thread shown is the one below. You'll find the download link at the bottom of the first post under the picture and thanks to list.
