Dear fellow fans,
Thanks to harry headbanger for pointing me in this direction, but i need assistance.
Can someone help me with downloading mfme 5.1 or 6.1 please?
click on the downloads tab and you'll find mfme legacy downloads if specifically after those but 20.1 is the most up to date version, this explainer is best used on a pc.
ask anything you need buddy and welcome

For these challenges you should only up the ram and gam files not the whole layout that’s what we used to do over @fruit emu and the £10 challenges we did
trying to bring in more newbie blood you see vecs.. that's why the challenge amounts are so varied as it allows for different gameplay and such.
@Robsonmeg46 start where you want, post your results and feel free to post a challenge too!
@infection which bloomin emmerdale i can think of 2 at least that are called that i'm sure.
@MikeyMonster just seeing this.. on it

it's lots of fun, watch out for the thunder starting to go red, it's like cracker in that sense, several red features are jp, and from the point you start at it's close to streaksing which it does after a jp

I get the reasons why the industry doesn’t want to move to putting older lower jps in pubs etc but i agree, buy your pint them have a play on a donkey Kong or a pinball wizard or cluedo or each way nudger what’s not to like!! Maybe there should be (in light of the current climate) sone form of reduced duty for pubs that buy their own lower jp machines. Or maybe there already is. Pretty sure it would be popular generally, but like I said (and as many here have articulated very well across the forums) the industry is unlikely to shift that way. Maybe the continued success of retro arcades will be evidence enough that it’s a good thing.
I almost feel like glueing my face to the m25 and waving a “bring back dels millions” flag. Almost…..just stop oil haha. other than a few collectors where are all the old machines, do they go to silicon heaven like they suggest in red dwarf? do they just get scrapped?? i dream of an abandoned warehouse or tower block with all the oldies just dusty and unwanted, perhaps that's my utopia

it took me AGES to get a full £500 win, the first i had anywhere near was on a cashino the roulette went £400 off £14 i ran around nobles telling everyone haha.
then next touch was a elvis which is still my fave £500 the one with the gold records and pink cars (anyone have a copy/link please) i pht £30 in for a 5 disc bonus which annoyingly went £250 but done a 100 after buzz..
the first £500 i got and still the only ones i've ever had was on a original rainbow riches from the pots.. i put a score in one in ladbrokes third £1 press pots gold 500!! needless to say i was deliriously happy.
pots have been the only 500's i've had never had the full set of reels on any game, i LOVED party games slotto.. i have had many mid range wins of course including wins like 480 just to piss you off kinda thing haha..
all fun and games eh

For me it was Astras, Play The Joker.
Remember playing as a novice and whatever it gave me going for the best streak, gold I think. Was a total fool, didn't really understand fruit machines at all at that point. However, you soon learn when you've gone broke long enough.
i loved play the joker, was just good fun trying to set the holds up all the time and regardless of the loss overall it was fun to play for a lo tech

@johnparker007 please forgive my clueless but genuine offer of this idea, it may very well be nonsense aas i don't know how you do it!!
but have you thought/is it possible to use the maths to equate the number of blank pixels attibuted to a symbol and maybe having a > or < ratio to calculate and collate the symbols by size?
again this is maybe nonsensical and already been thought and gone, i just had a moment of hmm what if etc..

Ahh nice choice @woodsy- have just downloaded the file, and will be back with the results in a while...
Absolutely love
the feature board music on this, tho would of been better on another tech as i find impact music to sound really flat plus whenever you move the music jumps a bit... nonetheless... bloody good music tho!
All the best,
Gary aka MPU_FIVE
PUKKKKKKKKAAAAAAA i'm afk today but will be eagerly looking forward to seeing your choice tonight

Another good choice..... unlikey on £50 from reset - but the logo on this goes red IRL for an invincible board - in the emulator as far as I can recall - its when the logo does not light at all..... no time now - will be back later to spend my £50.....
in the spirit of the game no retries.. but i will now carry on playing this for the while as it looks like there are lots of fun to be had eventually.. i could of chose a jpm i know inside out but i'm enjoying the random and unknown spirit we have going so playing this was a joy. it has a lot of maximum overdrive about it and as such was hunting the £4/5 wins but working out how to get them was another thing, was ok for setups for nudges but tight to get them and i found the best way was to try and gamble up before exchanging.. wip to say the least. no tops, not even a hint of getting close but good fun all the while with the usual behaviour of the day lots of nudge gambles and bonuses.
poor result from poor play more than ram reset here
when @MPU_FIVE gets a chance to post a game i'm in for sure.. in the meantime i'll crack on with this for hours hahah..
just been continuing... HIDDEN FEATURES!! WENT 312 never knew that existed!!

There was one in an arcade in Jaywick of all places! They had quite a lot of decent machines back then.
oh no here comes logopolis to embarrass us with the outcomes of his £20 in's hahjaha
-
@MikeyMonster @MPU_FIVE here's one i wish i had been able to play more back in the day but only saw it on my travels and never really got the hang of it.. obvious jpm trickery exists with the swap holds etc and i found mine on a ram clear so i'm going to suggest a slight difference as maybe £20 won't suffice from reset.
i'm going to do £50 in and see what happens from that. i know its slightly different but i hope we all can make it work on a game by game basis.
i'm using dx02.

Incidentally - I really like playing 20p/25p £5 machines - normally a great value for money experience - and a lot of fun cos even worst features will pay £4-£5 regularly.
Used to have a 10p/20p/30p Red Arrow in a pub - was brilliant to play - and all the players rules applied.
Surprised they weren't more popular and seemed to be quite rare in the wild
ah wild thing" they were cruel when chipped though must be said. in fact i'm leaning towards a jpm now but i won't make it too easy for us all
