Click help at the top right, then click about, on the top right of the about box, there's a "check for updates" button. Click that and it'll download 19.8 for you

Try repairing windows. Run this command in PowerShell as admin dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth Also as above, some manners would be nice
-
Try disabling your anti virus and reinstalling MFME, then try Also sorry to state the obvious lol... you need to be online as well

Make sure your pc has an intel i5 or better for optimal playing experience on the newer games

I sometimes do, but playables seem far and few between, so usually have a few outings a year where some older stuff is with some mates

@vectra666 there's a mercury switch inside the coin mech. I'm guessing it's to stop toolers being able to put things into "trusted" mode by drilling a little hole in the machine as it has to physically be lifted out and turned upside down. You might not have to unplug it but I always have done to prevent damaging the loom.

The reason they do this is due to DES encryption and the emulator being accurate down to a T with how it uses the ROM files. In real life, if you do a RAM clear on a DOND Bank On It for example, you'll have to re-pair up all the peripherals, so you'd tell the machine "this is your coin mech/note mech/hopper" In real life you'd (usually, depending on coin mech type) take the coin mech out, turn it upside down for 10 seconds and put it back in, reboot the machine with both doors open and wait for it to get to "read meters?" - same with the hopper, and note acceptors have various different ways. To do it on the emulator, you need to tick all the "trusted" boxes, toggle the door switches (C door/S door) by un ticking, then re ticking. let it boot to "read meters?" Until the trusted boxes then close both doors again (un tick C door/S door). Wizard may know a better way but that's how I do it

It is being built into a kitchen? Looks like a kitchen cupboard at the moment with a handle

I don't think I'm using nvidia drivers. Will check but I doubt a Lenovo x240 has anything nvidia lol... I'm running Linux mint if that helps. It runs MUCH smoother when I'm not recording the screen. Might try something else to record, I think the one I'm using at the moment is called Kazam or something like that
-
Ignore the bits after the mega streak. I tried to shake the window about "in excitement" and it screwed up the recording. The actual game play is much better but with the screen recorder hogging some resources, it's not captured it that well.

Got it running on Linux using Lutris. Just updating then I'll try running a game

No nvidia card or drivers here so very odd. Might try using playonlinux. I had better experience with crossover office which is the commercial wine branch before but my license is that old it probably won't work anymore lol
-
Tried again with a fresh container and fresh install of MFME, I now get "access violation in module dxgi.dll" never mind!

Mine's having none of it

I did think wine was a tad girly for Wizard to be fair! Get him some proper real ale haha

I just enjoy the banter either way haha. I haven't fallen out with anyone from the community (except for that idiot wanting downloads RIGHT NOW!)

Run great on my i5 Lenovo x240. You can pick them up on eBay for around £150
