  1. Had a hooky copy of Dynamite Dan, never any good at it. I remember The Fall Guy being released, but don't remember if I played it. Atic Atac was one I completed as well.
  2. Not many games, in 40 + years, I could clock as they say, but Chuckie Egg was one of them. I did buy and play the Amiga version, but the Speccy version was the one I clocked and ended up having to give up playing because I simply couldn't lose on it.
  3. Is it not possible to upload the on and off images with some basic instructions on putting the images in the layout.
  4. The gamepad setting, is right trigger to enter the MAME machine config menu (normally TAB I believe on standalone MAME). Still loving this, played Frogger for far too long yesterday. A small request, when you are looking at the control system, could the right analog stick be used for turning in the arcade. Also possible to use a button, perhaps for engaging and disengaging a machine.
  5. Version 1.0.0

A Maygay Machine, on Epoch Tech £25, 25p, 82% THIS LAYOUT HAS INCORRECT SOUND ROMS, they have been set very low, but if they annoy you still, press ctrl M to mute the layout. No images, but is a clone of The Italian Job (2). KEYS: 0 =Insert £1, ' = Cancel, 1 = Hold 1, 2 = Hold 2/Hi, 3=Hold 3/Lo C = Collect E/X = Exchange, Space = Start H = Collect Cash B = Take Bonus, F = Collect Feature, N = Take Nudges S = Take Cash K/O's, A = Take Feature K/O's THANKS TO: Wizard (RIP) for the amazing MFME emulator The Rom provider Maygay and whoever owns them now for leaving the scene alone.
  6. DOH! I never saw the scroll bar in the graphic settings, so never saw that setting, all loaded fine. I have a Core i9-10850K processor, so no problem for performance.
  7. Wow, what an update this is. Looks incredible. I managed to play several arcade games for much longer than intended, with my Xbox one pad, without an issue. I'm not seeing any attract modes on the arcade games screens, (the fruit machines are doing attract mode), as I'm walking around. Also did I see something about hearing arcade sounds, while playing fruit machines, I'm not hearing any myself. Have I missed something, or is this how it's meant to be? As for the multiple credits, perhaps, some of the coin mechs are very sensitive and it thinks, people are entering multiple coins. On older MFME versions, ACE Sys 1 machines, like Pound Sterling etc, used to alarm, because it would think more than one coin was being inserted, even though you were only pushing 0 once. You used to have to jab 0 quickly, with the tip of your finger.
  8. I can understand this point of view. But, I think quite a few people, are now turning to legal ways to play old games, such as the Evercade, which offers a chance to build a nice collection of carts, steadily over the years, at a reasonable amount of money for each cart. Also, quite a few people, aren't tech savvy and couldn't cope with setting up emulators, getting roms etc. Others like me, are collecting them, just like people collect ornaments or have a dozen watches or pairs of shoes etc....
  9. I should be getting mine today. It will probably remain unopened on my shelf with all my other minis.
  10. Great to see this coming together and people assisting where possible. I'm just sorry, that I have absolutely no skills to help with it.
  11. No is the short answer. The emulator, emulates the real machines speed. Sadly with no more updates going to be made to the emulator, a 3rd party add on to the emulator would be required. The arcade simulator https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/forum/72-arcade-simulator/ Speeds up machines on start up, so when we can add machines to it in the future, I guess then it would be possible.
  12. Great to see a taker for this, I'm on my way to work for late shift, but can sort of roms if someone else doesn't. If you click on the picture from the above post, there's an option to download it, it's larger than it looks once downloaded.
  13. A few years back in the JPEMU conversion thread, Wizard expressed an interest in the Impact tech machine Coliseum Cash being converted to MFME in DX form. It's a clone of Super Breakout. The better looking of the two wouldn't convert, but the poorer of the two DX's did, but with no disrespect intended, clearly the source work was awful and it is a very poor looking DX, there's also a classic version for reference. The attached artwork, when downloaded, is probably good enough for at least a medium quality DX to be made, by one of our experts. So wondering with quite a few older DX's being updated, if someone would be willing to take it on and perhaps put it in the appropriate cabinet as well.
  14. Normally, when a layout is dark, it's because the images used were grainy. You can try to brighten it, by doing the following in the emulator. With the layout loaded, click on design, then edit mode. Then click on design again and choose DX lamp creator. You then have brightness and contrast options you can use. Use the sliders then click on update and see how it looks. The issue you will find if you make things too bright, is that the lamps may start being jumpy or the cut outs of the lamps maybe be very visible. If you make a mess of thing, you can always close the layout, say no to save changes and try again.
  15. Always great to see a newcomer or older user coming back and discovering or rediscovering FME. I think all us long term members remember the excitement of the first time we discovered FME and then when the new era of MFME started in 2016.
  16. I never knew about this, until I got Microsoft Return of Arcade. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Arcade They had some sort of electronic pictures/documents on the disk, which showed or mentioned, about positions the ghosts don't go to.

    Burger Time

Was never a massive fan of this, but it's definitely a classic arcade game, in the tier of extremely well known arcade games (I just made up that tier by the way). I always thought the game, was very slow moving and I think that made it feel sluggish and hard. Like @eagle64 I remember and had Mr Wimpey on the Speccy. I believe like Mr Do, there's a super version of this possibly on Neogeo hardware, which played a faster game, which made it more enjoyable.
  18. Really pleased to see it back, already watched the Omega video again.
  19. My experience of service station fruit machines, are losing on 70% average payout machines. But they do bring back lots of memories of days out and holidays with my mate. I'm not a driver, so don't really know the name and positions myself, but my mate used to map them out where we would stop. I can hear him saying, we'll stop at Keele and Chievelys, that you mentioned, on our trips to Blackpool, Manchester, Alton Towers etc to and from London. I'm pretty sure it's down south, but Clacketts (sp???), was one he mentioned a few times.
  20. I don't believe that was the case. More a case, that his work and other members of his family could become aware of it and it could bring trouble to his door. Just like people get sacked or forced to resign for a view or action expressed from when they were a completely different person to what they are now. My brother got the sack from a job for a Facebook comment, which was reported to his work.
  21. Really pleased it's coming back. For me, it had become part of the FME scene overall, as much as a layout is, rather than just another YouTube channel I subscribe to.
  22. I too hope the channel returns. Perhaps it could return as a private video channel, where people could only watch them if they click on a link in this thread for instance. Or certainty ones you consider controversial and bring trouble to your door. It would miss out on new viewers in general, but would still gain some through new members here. I'm guessing you are missing being able to get your voice out there on subjects not just FME related.
  23. I do agree with Serene, this will continue to happen. There's been links on here where you can download all the layouts, if you look beyond the initial landing page. Posting links to people's Facebook pages, websites etc... also provides further links to disks. The hope would be that some good comes out of it, for instance new members, who can offer up new resources. I think the word of FME is now spreading further than ever, with lots of members interested in adding FME to their cabinet set ups, from Italy to the USA. If the Arcade Simulator, ends up with MFME and MAME together it will probably explode, to all parts of the world, as MAME is worldwide.
  24. These machines remind me of Prize Bingo, when people say, I won some great prizes from Bingo over the years, but forget how much they paid for the bingo. I remember at Butlins, some people would spend most of their holiday, playing Prize Bingo, in the arcades. Mind you of course I can't talk, I used to do the same on the fruitys lol.
  25. A good idea, but probably not as popular with the kids, who love seeing them coming out of the machine.
