  1. If you look on this page https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/topic/52784-layout-diy-fixes/page-19?hl=vegas#entry305096 Post 372, I converted this from Jpemu to MFME. Strangely however the actual converted layout doesn't have the greenery to the side of the alpha. I assume that the picture above wasn't the finished layout. I've updated the layout since v6.1, so I've attached it here. It'll do for now, until Pook perhaps decided to do an update and further release. cashvegasstrip.zip
  2. I'm pretty sure I saw it the other night, but as said it wasn't the same way up, so discounted it. I have a vague memory of what layout it was, but not at home until later, when I'll look for it again and post my answer, if it's not posted before then.
  3. It's emulated but only in classic form.
  4. Wow we had both of those games. I had forgotten about both of them, didn't even recognise the names before watching the video. Numbers Up, quite often, it was a frantic scramble to complete it before the clock run out. Such a simple idea, probably the electronic timer that was exciting to kids. Stay Alive, best played with 3 or 4 people, rather than 2. It's the sort of game that even now as an adult I would play if I had the opportunity.
  5. Mousetrap was good, but a pain to set up and the end trap used to regularly fall down, when the dice roll rumbled the board. Never had a robot of any sort.
  6. Eliminator by Ploggy and some guys named Dougsta and Vectra666
  7. I loved Treets. But I remember them as chewy soft toffee/caramel in a crunchy shell. In the USA they do M&M caramels which are very similar. I brought some large boxes back from Vegas. Treets came back briefly in the 90s. I remember getting some packs at Paddington Station. I think they were in a dark blue bag. Dont remember Womble bars though.
  8. I would imagine it would be an electromechanical machine, probably from the mid to late 70's My earliest memories of actually playing a machine, was around 1975, when I would have been around 5. I remember playing at least one Brenco machine around a friend of my mums, who had it loaned for a charity event. But those machines I'm pretty sure had holds only, not nudges. http://www.fruitmachinemuseum.co.uk/gallery-1/4541345310
  9. Finished watching it. Another great video and a nice surprise for me, to see Around The World in 80 days also featured.
  10. Haven't watch the video yet, I'm awaiting some downtime in work during the night to watch it through. Degsy being a self confessed FME geek, would probably like to get them sorted, but perhaps he doesn't have time to go through over 1000 layouts to find and fix them up. Playing them individually in v3.2 might have been the better option here though.
  11. Shame they'll be a reduction in videos, but real life commitments, must always come first. Had plenty of giggles from the channel this year and definitely will be watching some videos again. Here's to another year of fun videos.
  12. Really does look great. Will definitely take a look at picking up a copy.
  13. The Red Hand Gang, I remember this not only on TV but when we had Saturday Morning Pictures (SMP) at the cinema. SMP use to comprise of a couple of cartoons, an episode from a show such as this, then onto the main film, usually a Herbie film. I think the Children Film Foundation, films, mentioned earlier in the thread, were also part of SMP.
  14. I'm 110% sure Choppers, won't have taken an ounce of offence. Damn I feel bad now for making you feel bad.
  15. Another enjoyable video. I remember some highs and lows with Green Monopoly, definitely remember it on £4.80 jackpot. Turned up en mass, in my Central London arcade haunts. To me, the £6 age was when, fruit machine manufacturers upped their game, cabinet wise. I used to walk in the arcade and sad at it sounds, was actually excited, to see a nice row of shiny new cabinets, quite often 3 or 4 of the same machine, that were radiating you towards them and saying, play me, play me, play me. That's my favourite Simpsons machine, although I've only played it on 10p £3, but could still be very generous. I bet they pay a pittance for any license back in the day, if indeed they paid at all. I mean who in the USA would be bothered about a silly little UK fruit machine manufacturer. I don't think I have ever played That's Life. Seeing that picture from Pook above, I think it's safe to say, that you won't mind being upstaged on this part of the thread.
  16. Another series that had some great stories, Tales Of The Unexpected. Below is what I think is the creepiest episode called The Flypaper. It's worth a watch and also to show your children when they are old enough, to teach them one of the oldest valuable lessons in life. Even if you don't watch it all, watch it from 10:25 on the video. A SPOILER of events upto 10:25 is below the video, IF YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH IT ALL, But if you are going to watch it from 10:25, then it will serve, as a quick resume of the story up to that point. SPOILER....Up until 10:25, the story is that someone has been murdering children and their bodies have been found in the canal/river.. It is very much suggested that a particular man (who gets on the bus after 10:25 in the video) is responsible. It appears he is now tracking his next victim, an orphan child, who lives with her grandma and is also very much a loner.
  17. I've got the box set of the Hammer House of Horror TV series. The Two faces of evil, being my favourite episode, such spooky camera work and one that can still send a chill down the spine. Here Janet returns after being told, the man in her house must be her husband because the guy on the slab in the morgue, who looks identical to him, has bad teeth and her husband has perfect teeth.

    Amiga Avvv IT!!!

Yes the Amiga had some great tunes, including some great demos with tunes on them. The Turrican game series, had some of the most memorable sound, right from the welcome to turrican speech. The music really helped spur you on, particularly some of the sections where you were in the air a lot. I seem to remember in some sections of levels on Turrican 2 or 3, it turned into a horizontal shoot em up. Interesting, to hear about the cards for TV. Think a lot of the dodgy sky stuff, still comes from Ireland. Been in a few pubs, that have some sort of satellite set up coming from Ireland (you can tell by the ads all being irish and prices in euros etc...) I never had TV on the computer, until those WINTV Hauppauge cards, came out for PC.
  19. Another great video. Definitely could sense the frustration on the jackpot not repeating, but then you kept on taking other repeating wins, rather than an all out force (although I would still have expected one repeat at least in all that time). Echo what Evo says, great to see such a team effort to get a machine emulated. When you think about it, normally at least 3 people involved. Wizard in every release for the emulator, the rom/s provider and the layout producer. In addition quite often it involves a few people to get the roms and resources together, including many a purchase made. I too am not a massive MPU Mecca reader, but do appreciate that so many of 1980's and early 90's releases are sourced and provided by forum members and quite a few of them, don't really have an interest in FME, so could just not bother taking apart and photographing machines. So it's a big thanks to everyone involved in this and all the other releases we have had, as I know some people have been quietly gathering resources for years in the background and don't get the appreciation they deserved.
  20. Not seen this before, so will definitely take a look when I get time.

    Grandstand Astro Wars

These were generally great little games. I think I still have mine/my brothers. Definitely don't have the box though and I think the screen maybe a bit scratched.

    spangles

I remember having quite a few packs as a kid. Never sure why these things stop selling, but I do remember when my mum would buy me some, thinking oh boring spangles. So I guess they just became unappealing to people.

    Best joystick

Perhaps not for this thread, otherwise it'll go off topic, but bits of Hyper Sports, were on a show called First Class with Debbie Greenwood. A children's quiz show of the late 80s. If you do a youtube search for First Class Debbie Greenwood, you'll see the videos. Perhaps best in a separate thread on tv shows or similar.
