Yes, BWB had a habit of mystery trail add, the Blues Brothers did the same thing. Landing a win, forces you to gamble once for the feature exchange. Press start instead of hi/lo, it will automatically gamble for you. Don't force the game for the end feature, it's a win stepper that was great on the original rims, but was chipped out for lower pots. I aimed for the 2nd main feature, trail run. Which can be all cash. Originally it could run for thirty quid, lucky now, it will go past a tenner. The gameplay is fast, and the sounds are better than some. The skull features??..I never took them, but I believe there is 1 good feature of the 5 Another cracking release..love it Statto
  2. This was at the tail end of the 4.80 jackpots. And by this time, most of manufacturers got the hint from BACTA, to over machines with flatter profiles. This is one of them. Does it "streak" no..not really. But there is constant action, with low wins. Which we all gamble to 2 quid, exchange and hope for a jackpot nudge. And end up with 1.60 9/10. I did like this machine, it's a good one to dump tokens in, and get a decent cash return. A jackpot of tokens is usually 3 quid cash minimum. Then there was all the clones, Hollywood cash?? 2p, 5p and 10p versions which each had their skewed pay table. The 2p version, was not too shabby, if you like playing for playing sakes. Thanks for the release, I admit I must have several versions of this machine, dating back to The Hovel days. I like how the number reel, is one of the originals used heavily back in the early days of emulation. Statto

    Loot Shoot by JPM.

It doesn't get anymore classic than this. I think JPM might have been a little bit forgetful, with the rules, as they nudge pot doesn't reset, if you hit Lootshoot feature, and vice versa. Which meant there was always something to play for. Oh well....not complaining!! I think every arcade had one of these, along with a reel crazy, and a line up Statto
Right..Where do I start with this classic?? This was probably the first dedicated 4.80 jackpot from Barcrest on MPU4. I can say this for sure, as this machine, along with 777 Heaven and BFM's Powerlines where all lined up in my local quicksilvers just before christmas, but the due to BACTA rules, could not be operational until Jan 1st The 40p wins come thick and fast, and it felt a bit more adult, getting double your money for the new stake. People where a little cautious, to begin with, but once the cash and token streaks, became evident, nobody paid attention to 10p play. Anyway, it's a quick game, Barcrest with full colour and sounds once again knocked it out the park as they say. The card gamble was harsh for most of the gambles, but A full cashpot was a tempt, but..the 2 features above that could be big money if they repeated. You know a classic machine by 2 things: A machine you seek out above others, when visiting an arcade A machine that other manufacturers clone. BFM and Barcrest where pretty much taking each others ideas at this point. There was a 10p similar version Blackjack cash, that was reglassed for 4.80 but just didn't have the appeal, speed, or presence of this machine. And it's just as good emulated Statto
This is strange machine, a little different to the standard fayre of the time. After about 20 quid through this machine, you'll see all the tricks. Boxed numbers work the same as other machines such as cloud 999 with clouds and 777 heaven with it's boxes. If cash pot is offered, it's in a dead phase, that much I have found out through real life, and emulation. So....back in the day there wasn't many of these, even on my rounds in the arcades in the north west. Quicksilvers in liverpool had one, and it was tucked away at the very back of the arcade. But you could hear it, and yes we all sharked the machines. If I heard the cash pot win, I ignored it. Also if boxed wins are given a lot, 2.40 and below, it's not in a great mood either, but once you break through with a token win, you're pretty much getting close. Go for token wins under 4.80, jackpots are thin on the ground, and mystery wins can give it. There was a 2nd incarnation when the 6 quid jackpot arrived, and it was a much tighter game, and the streaks where flatter. PCP I recall had their clone called XXX Cash in a project cabinet, and this was a token dump, once it got happy. But getting it happy took a lot of cash, which I couldn't be bothered with. Megabucks had a good balance of cash and tokens. There was another machine at the time called blank cheque, and I know very little about it, as I saw it only once, in Blackpool North at the coffee shop / snacks. Played a few quid, and the was a ghost symbol that said "CHEQUE" when 3 on the win line. Other wise it stayed dark. Great machine, and good times. rarely lost on this machine, but it does have a long dead phase. Statto
