When I joined DIF I came looking for two machines. The first was sidewinder, which you have done a great layout for. The second machine was more vague in my memory and I used to play it in my local golf club, when the stuffy adult members weren't about! This is close, I remember the roulette wheel, but the blue colour doesn't feel right and I thought the odds buttons were slightly smaller and square and where perhaps underneath the wheel? But when I play this machine the sound of the spinning ball on the wheel is spot on. I've had a look through all the layouts and this remains the closest I think to my memory.

    Thanks

  2. Hi, I downloaded the file this morning, but the game wasn't being found by MFME. I eventually found that the game is filtered as WIP. So I think this is why I couldn't find it.

It is a fantastic looking layout, and being a fan of python the soundset is superb. You've done an incredible job with the graphics. I really appreciate your hard work.

With my first £1 in I gambled to the jackpot and got a repeat. So I might have to stop at that :)

    Thanks.

  3. I love these old machines. I followed Reg's MFME for New designers guide last night, so I was curious to see how these old machines are done. So I had a look and thought "Hmm no Roms, How is that going to work". Then I looked into the text file and realised two things

1, How good MFME is as an emulator

    2. How amazing you layout creators are. I just can't begin to fathom how you guys do these. That's like old school electronics shit!!

    Hat's off to you.

    Thanks

I don't think I ever saw this machine. But even so there is something about these old machines that I really enjoy. There is as much fun gambling for a 30p stake as there is going for £30 on the newer machines. I guess it's all about the time and place these machines take us back to. Thanks for that.

  5. Many thanks for this. I saw this game on the new video by @johnparker007 and when I heard the Kraftwerk inspired nudge music I thought, right I'm having that. It's probably one of the best sounding games I've played. And lots of fun features. I particularly like the ability to continue to bet as your stake lowers, rather than it either being a win or lose. Another great layout.

  6. I'm very much a retro games fruit lover. I've never played or was even aware of DOND games machines until joining this site. So when I saw this I thought I'd have a go to see why there are so many variations of the game. I play fruit machines for fun, and not for financial gain. For me with no nudges, skills or holds these games are lacking game play, and so this isn't for me. As a canny Scot I even felt guilty slotting in my virtual £100 :) !  But I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to try it. Thanks for your effort producing this.

Certainly nothing wrong with your photoshop skills, it looks great. I've not seen this machine before, but I can't resist these old timers. It's got some great game play. Although I think it's a bit harsh with it's gambles, I probably would have given up on it due to that,  if I was putting in real money back in the day! Thanks.

  8. I had never played this game, but saw a post be @reg about it and thought, wow must have that. It's brilliant fun, great gameplay and love that thumping reel land sound. Thanks for the effort you have put in to recreate this.

This is an amazing reproduction. I've played a few emulations before, but this is a totally different level. The sound of the money dropping nearly has me reaching under my computer desk to fish out the coins. I spent hours playing this machine as a teenager, the sound of the nudges and sidewinder are embedded in my memory and this brings it all back. I really appreciate the work you have put into this, you really have brought this piece of hardware back to life. Well done @Amusements
