  1. Version 1.0.0

    91 downloads

Here's a classic layout for Sinbad, a machine for years that has been amongst my most wanted unemulated. It will only work with V19 as no previous emulated support it. Thanks goes to everyone involved in FME from Wizard, right down to the tea boy. KEYS: Insert £1 = 0 Cancel/Collect = ` Hold1/Nudge = 1 Hold2/Nudge = 2 Hold3/Nudge = 3 Hi = H Low = L Feature Exchange = E Start = SPACE. It's a BWB machine from sometime in the mid 90's, that started on £6 Tokens and went up to a £10 all cash release. I've kept the classic simple as I have no real resource artwork, so I've tried to focus more on the original layout. It's mainly been created from this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB2IRZ274-s&t=69s It's been great to finally be able to play this one again and to me, is one of the best BWB machines of the era, with some great/funny sounds and a few hidden surprises (watch out for the hi lamp flashing).
  2. I wouldn't know about such things, but think it most definitely is a good idea. I hope behind the scenes, anyone who has contacts with anyone in companies would alert you and others about any definite no goes, when it comes to layout releases. As for the AWP market being dead, well I still say go into any medium sized Weatherspoons and you'll still regularly see upto 4 or 5 AWPs still present.
  3. Thought about posing this over the past few days and think it's worth saying. I don't wish to put a downer on things and perhaps it's just me, but personally I don't think enough work is done to justify calling a layout that was released at £70 but now also able to run at £100, a new layout. I think these layouts should have an additional upload to original download and not a whole new release thread etc... It's not like when someone does a 10p £5 variant of a layout, because that is basically a whole new machine, in most cases here it's one things changed, £70 becomes £100.
  4. Great to see another milestone for MFME, with the latest update now allowing £100 AWP jackpot machine. Are there that many S5 machines which were only ever on £100 jackpots? Also are there any/many MPU5 machines on £100, or is that strictly MPU6 only?
  5. Great stuff thanks for all the hard work doing this and uploading the layouts originally. I'd of got bored of it after the first 10. As Reg says a fantastic resource and I'm sure many of us will go through them and find a few old favourites we no longer have. 18 years of FME, definitely a lot of these could be considered retro FME layouts.
Wow, you work just getting better and better

    Strike It Lucky

The problem big Tony mentioned in his review is the character in the configuration screen, is wrong. Go into edit mode and configuration and change the character to Barcrest from bwb.
  7. An update would be great Pete. When it works, converting is generally a breeze and still a couple of decent machines, on available on Jpemu.
  8. Normally this error, is because someone is trying to load it into an incompatible version of MFME. It was designed for v6.1, so make sure you are at least trying it on v6.1, available from the downloads here. If you are using v19 (the latest version and also available from the downloads here) and are getting this error, it may be of use to let Wizard know.

    Maygay complete MADNESS

Ok fair enough, I just hope we see the machine emulated one day
  10. This is a great edition. Be good if members visit UK arcades we could get some pictures inside. Particularly inside MR Ps or similar retro arcades would be very nice. Having put the above picture in the background of a few layouts it still gives that arcade atmosphere. Perhaps I'll bring back a few when I go to Vegas in November.
  11. Definitely a much needed video and one which hopefully will be enough to get EVERYONE up and running.
  12. Firstly do you have the emulator, MFME V6.1? If not it's in the download section. If you haven't already, just unzip the file for the Super Nudge machine (we call them machine layouts) Then open the emulator, click on file then open and simply point the emulator into the folder, you unzipped the file to and click on the layout file. You might find this thread useful http://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1195-welcome/
  13. Like you, I do well to spend more than 5 mins on machines like this. I remember them when growing up but 10p was too rich for me, until 1988 , by which time the first machines with more than just nudges and holds, had started to appear. I remember older people in my family/friends would say to me when I was playing or had been playing, I don't know how to play these modern machines, they're too complicated for me. But I fully agree the main thing, is that it's preserved through emulation. Great to see a new dx'r around FME also.
  14. I assume, he meant it's shit no sounds were available.
  15. We already have MFME versions of this, including a DX, so pretty pointless conversion. Try converting something that hasn't got an MFME version for it.
  16. The FME video was good shame things didn't work sound wise. Good to see you now have some space to yourself, hopefully no more oh family home got to go moments, although some of them have raised a laugh.

Further to my original uploaded at fruit-emu, I've revamped it, so decided to up it here as well.

Here's Paint The Town by Red Gaming. Set on a £25 Jackpot at 30p Play, with 82% payout. I've tried to incorporate as much detail of the real machine into the layout, with some obvious restrictions, so a bit of artistic impression here and there. I also this time didn't want any real graphic but to make everything with classic lamps. It's a bit on the long side, but hopefully everything is readable on a 17" + screen at least. Thanks as ever to Wizard for MFME and to everyone else for keeping the scene alive.
  19. Another one I can't find a MFME version of. Its Showtime by Troutman and BB? A JPM machine £15 30p 86%. Just the necessary MFME adjustments made. Its Showtime.zip
  20. Version 1.1

Disco Inferno. A Scorpion 4 machine by Mazooma. Set on £15 Jackpot, 25p Play at 82% Payout. Thanks to Wizard for MFME, the rom provider, the flyer provider, Vec for the Disco Inferno symbol. Haven't got any pictures of the real machine, so this is based on how the machine looks on the flyer in this post. I appreciate that it may not be in the style for easy of playing, but wanted to try to capture the machine the best I can using classic lamps, as I have done before. There is a simpler version over at fruit-emu, if you prefer that style, in the wip thread (fruit-emu is not working at the moment so can't link). This is pretty much a clone of Wet N Wild and the reels including the card flip reels are in the exact same position as on Wet N Wild.
  21. Thanks to Degsy for upping the Jempu DX of Big Cash machine. I still can't find it in the downloads at fruit-emu. Here's the converted version. JEMPU version by Hurtland165 Big Cash Machine.zip
  22. Another Jpemu conversion. Colour Of Money by JPM. £15, 30p. It's appears to be a Euphoria clone. Steveir made the Jpemu version. The conversion of this had several issues after conversion, so I had to add/change quite a bit of stuff, due to this, I decided to make some further changes/enhancements. Colour of Money.zip
  23. Another Jpemu conversion. Force 10 a JPM machine, set on £15, 30p, 86% A popular machine back in the day IIRC. Surprised it hasn't been done on MFME before, unless I'm missing something. Force10.zip

    Cheque Mate

    Version 1.0.0

    31 downloads

Here's Cheque Mate £25, 30p 88%. Another Impact machine, that was previously only on Jpemu. I tried to make this as black and white, to follow the chess theme, but too much white/black doesn't make for a good looking layout. Thanks firstly this time to Johnnyafc for the Jpemu version, this enabled me to get it done quicker and also have the reels for the machine. Thanks to Wizard for MFME and to the rom provider.
