A good days work clubber from the late nineties early 2000s
Sarkymark77 replied to Sarkymark77's topic in The Laboratory
Thanks for that. It’s very similar, I thought it had a guy in a van on the reels for the feature but the concept looks the same will have a play this weekend cheers! sm -
Morning! does anyone remember a 100jp clubber called A Good Days work (or something similar) where you used to get x3, x5 and x10 on the feature and the guy would say “that’s a good days work, you’re on ten times your money!”? was reminiscing this weekend and it’s one we used to play at a local club! Can’t find it but I’ve probably got the name wrong! cheers

Makes a nice change!! I hate most reflex ones, half glad they have disappeared tbh

Played the last hamurai a lot in the wild and the steps seem completely unrelated. No steps, take feature, get to end, get 2 steps. And vice versa. Think as with all of its ready you’ll get the steps whatever. one thing I found is the game often offers the variable cash value at the end I think there are four of them, so if you get a game early it’s generally pretty good for a small profit, 25-50

Well said one and all. RIP wizard

I wonder how the banker is going to react…..

Takes me back! Must be talking 1996/7

Donkey kong was always good fun even though in hindsight it’s a dull machine! Just waiting for the blue colour on the ladder……
-
Good plan, I always think that’s a great idea when someone comes across something unusual, share it and see if anyone can break it!

My favourite game of all time definitely on the Amiga ! Think it was Taito!
-
It’s on the blueprints etc, not sure
-
Am I the only one who doesn’t remember this machine?? Just makes me think of frank sinatra, I hope he sings during a jackpot sequence!
-
Sorry @woodsy will be back on it soon. talking of the showtime one, wasn’t there a similar ish one called star prize with Roy walker on the sound pack? Loved showtime, was always hoping for the pink box! (Oo err)

I remember something similar. It was at southwaite services on the m6 on my way back from Edinburgh. It didn’t pay it all, did 200 in coins then call manager message. They wouldn’t change the ones, and gave me 300 in Scottish notes….

I get the reasons why the industry doesn’t want to move to putting older lower jps in pubs etc but i agree, buy your pint them have a play on a donkey Kong or a pinball wizard or cluedo or each way nudger what’s not to like!! Maybe there should be (in light of the current climate) sone form of reduced duty for pubs that buy their own lower jp machines. Or maybe there already is. Pretty sure it would be popular generally, but like I said (and as many here have articulated very well across the forums) the industry is unlikely to shift that way. Maybe the continued success of retro arcades will be evidence enough that it’s a good thing. I almost feel like glueing my face to the m25 and waving a “bring back dels millions” flag. Almost…..

Two years since the funeral of Chris (Wizard)
Sarkymark77 replied to slotsmagic's topic in Wizard's Rest
Raising a glass in honour. Well I was before the rain came. I only returned to the scene earlier this year so I missed this happening but am extremely grateful for what Chris did for this scene. Genius, and I’m sure he is missed by many: Cheers Chris! -
Ahh cheers. Ah yes party games, why can’t that one be done is it the video aspect? Reminds me of an old DOND I think it was called platinum it was a screen rather than physical reels. Noel used to appear out of the floor in his platinum suit’ never seen the machine since or emulated.
-
What about the 3 player one with the 10p stashes at the top which would drop if you got chance or community chest? Are they emulated?

20 years devotion to all this, it’s quite something and the legacy is clear for all to see. A big thanks wizard and long may it continue
