I recall many games needed a responsive angle ? up and left or up and right , many a platform needed a perfectly timed leap . The micro switch sticks were great for that , my pet hate was the sinclair sjs joystick , army moves plus a sjs joystick could make me go all ' office space' on a spectrum

Zip stick was a classic , Hyper sports was awsomes , think they had it on a saturday morning kids show ? , and bubble bobble !!!!!! what a game my +3 loaded it in seconds , was like instant gratification , the whoop whoop of getting an umbrella , pretty sure i faked a bad ankle to play that all day , it shows the great quality of game when you find out i had 76% attendence for a year lol

I wanted a Sam Coupe , I had dreams about that lol , screen shots were so deceiving , back when captain planet looked cool lmao

I found in the earlly days , many games needed a quick left , then a quick right , then repeat . Combat school was one , hyper sports , i found Daley thompson broke at least one stick . So im going to say hands down , i found the konix ? speedking joystick to be the best . It had sturdy microswitches that clicked like my knees do now , It waggled like a joy , tended to blister the palm but combat school was worth it . Did anyone else enjoy the wagglers i enclose 2 pics , one of the original speedking , and a later model called the navigator , which was awsome like a buck rogers ray gun but it lacked the hand shape , and the stick was too short for high speed waggling .

Just been playing leander on the amiga emu ( what else ? ) was a bugger to get going , well worth the 3 hours of ticking boxes and un ticking , cheated and ran it on a amiga cd , compilation disc image . Never had the joy of owning the cd32 but it looks pretty sweet . I recall , as a kid going with my mate to a massive amiga fest , think it was the launch of the cd , it was written on every bag , i bought lotus turbo 2 , sweet game , full screen , in 1 player . the magnetic fields logo and orchestral intro still give me the chills . Its wonderfull how a piece of music can peter pan you back to the pinneapple hubba bubba , and half penny chews . Must say , as much as my body has aged ( friggin badly lol) , mentally i still feel like a kid , and i have hours and hours for old crap , which crazily isnt actyally crap , the new stuff tricks us to think that .I used to daydream in class about getting home and getting bang on the amiga , what was there? 4 tv channels back then , fresh prince , star trek , then rick dangerous 2 , so glad other people enjoyed this great machine , sorry to go on , didnt have a girl friend at the time , and my mum let me watch the thing !!! , barelly slept after that , was well sure the cat was the thing , what a rush

Gods was awsome , good call , bitmap brothers made pure 16 bit gold

lotus , and turrican 2 had awsome tunes , the amiga had awsome sound , xenon 2 pushed music in games to another level , auto fire off to hear the music , the other 16 bitters were good good too , but the amiga sound , set it above the rest .

Any one else use the Azimuth screw to get stubborn tapes to work ,

The speccy had good detail in the graphics , but the colours mixing ( clash lol ) was a pain , the commodore didnt have the detail , but the colours were better . I remember it was important to have instructions because some games were random , my favourite randoms , were , gift of the gods , NOMAD , frostbyte , mailstrom , and my fave random was , ti na nog , a weird game ,

Nice thinking reg , i think like cars , people have their first computer , its a special thing . I remember the first computer game i played , round me mates , it was Nifty lifty , on a speccy +2 . When my biggest choice in life was what flavour of hubba bubba too get , good times , ive still got a callous on my hand from trying to beat combat school , with a speedking joystick .

Hi Hi , Ive read quite a bit about Amber , so much controversy . Honestly ive spent hours reading the old skool banter , ive now changed my favorite fme hero because one fella made me lol , I imagined he was punching a kitten while typing some of those messages . Back to the point , got a good folder on amber now , curious if I missed any final versions , I got Amber 2 Release Alpha 1.02 , and a few 2 part layouts , is that right ,

The quest for the holy DOND , and a dumb question :)
becks replied to becks's topic in Emulator Chat
I did lol , no wonder I had no luck , I remembered a bloke in devon who had a few machines 10 years ago, he seemed odd but I took the invite to drink voddy and smoke .Having eaten a dubious tasting cheese toastie and half a bottle of vod , I went to his kitchen to make coffee , two steps in his kitchen my sock came off having stuck to floor ! I drunkenly tried to make coffee anyway , when I got the milk (opened the fridge with my foot), I saw the cheese , I could see three green sides and one grated off , it was all that was in the fridge , that bloke . so I located his sister , tracked him down and asked him , im not surprised now he didn't have it , hes my friend again now , lmao , good gag dude , good gag . you make awesome machines too pook , tip of the hat to you sir -
