I don't think the multi player electocoin games can be emulated unfortunately.
-
Hi Some of the older layouts need V5.x once you have loaded them into this version and saved them they will run in the latest version, but there are versions of RHR that should run directly in the latest version.

Hi You can with some games use the dip switches to alter the percentage, 70% should be the lowest you can set and the highest is game dependant, but 95% is usually the upper limit, The lower the percentage the less it pays out so a machine at 70% will take much longer to give you a streak and it may also not pay as much as the same machine set at 90% for example, but if you play the same machine over many plays you will always lose as that is what the machine is designed to do, but you will lose a lot more when you have the machine set at 70% and i think you might get a bit sick of it at that setting. That said with some machines the percentage is hard coded in the roms for these you cannot change the percentage unless you get a rom set that will allow this.

Newcomer trying to emulate memories from the past
cliffc replied to meolo's topic in Newbies Help Area
Hi Meolo With regards to emulating italian machines as long as the machine is running on one of the emulated techs then you should be able to create your own layouts using the tools provided, this is not my area so i cannot help much with this side, but there are many layout creators who i am sure lend you some support with your layout creations. But if once you have the roms from the machine you want to create, if you want to create the layout as a DX(looks like the real machine) you will need some good artwork photos ('if you are good with photoshop you may be able to use slightly less good artwork). you can then use the tools to make your layout. if the machine runs on a un-emulated tech then sadly as the creator has passed you will not be able to emulate the machine as there will be no further updates to the Emulator, hope this has helped you out a litte. -

My "consecutive losing spins" experiment - PART 2
cliffc replied to TheSecondLugia's topic in Emulator Chat
Although forcing JPM's was not the way to play them in the wild as they just did not like the force, unlike say barcrests of this era that loved the force method. -
The version from this site is fine to install and has been downloaded many times with no issues, i am guessing your Mcafee is being a little to strong, i would suggest waiting until you can download again and turning it off to allow you to download, if you don't want to wait then making a donation to the site will get you a whole year of unlimited downloading, and i would guess that once you have the emulator up and running your going to want to download many of the layouts for the emulator this may be your best option, you can donate as little as £10 how much fun would this get you on a real machine. No you just need to make a couple of posts you can make new ones or join in with existing ones or if you want faster access you could make a donation to the site for 1 years unlimited downloads

ROMs for a machine I can't get working
cliffc replied to I have finished's topic in Newbies Help Area
If you use V20 of the emulator then download the layout from the legacy section the roms will automatically download into the game for you and the game will run. -
For me its a Black Box machine comes in 2 versions 5p/£1 token this was called Upstairs and Downstairs and the 10p / £2 version which was called Reel Gambler the machine is the same just name and prize stake difference this the one machine i would love to see emulated in either versions or both, i know from videos on you tube that there is some one out there with a Reel Gambler but don't know if we have the resources.
-
Nope you are certainly not, its the only actual xmas themed reel based I can remember, of course if you never played in a Nobles arcade then you would never have seen one.
-
I remember Nobles arcades did a Xmas themed machine in the super Red Bar / Super Bat 7s cabs with new reel bands and wins this was on £10 all cash i dont think they changed the programs in them just the reel symbols and a new back and reel glass, the machines played exactly the same as super red bar / Super Bar 7s even down to the hidden extra nudges. I assume they did this do they could just swap them back to the original machine after xmas.

donation made what to do next to be able to download?
cliffc replied to yanstar23's topic in Newbies Help Area
As has been said its not an automatic process if you have not been give donator access after 24 hours just drop Pete w our admin a message with your user name amount donated and the method that should be enough for him to get your access sorted. -
Hi Most club machines with a cash pot had some way of pushing the cash pot up after it has been won, i think the reason for this would have been at the time a club could only have 2 machines sited, so if the cash pot was showing had been won it would put people off playing it, so it would put all the pressure on the only other machine thus cutting take.

Hi I hope this site comes into being, even if we can only access your archive i am sure many people would join up and support this kind of site and content from you.

Hi Thanks for letting me know i have never tryed this as i have a collection of roms from an old back up of the repro that i found so i just used them i must download one now and give this a go.
-
Hi The games in the legacy section only contain the layouts but there are no ROMs in the games, or at least the last time I downloaded from this section this was the case so you will need to source the ROMS before you can actually play the game
-
Hi To dontate is easy if you look on the right hand side of the portal home page there is a section there where you can make your donation it defaults to £10 but you can pick any amount above this if you want to.

These should work with no issues as they both use the same DB
