  1. Oh forgot about That's Life.... only saw a few local to me, had one on a campsite that could be plugged I remember they also had a BARGAIN that worked. Ooh, we have Bargain emulated... J
  2. There really were some brilliant machines in the early to mid 90's. This was when I mainly played, I would say that I played daily for 8+ years from 1990 to 1998. Some fucking hours there. J
  3. I look back with fond memories of these, not a machine I would target even if full in £'s, but armed with a large stash of tokens these Maygay machines were ideal to grab a few cash wins. If you caught it at the right time you may get the elusive £30+ streak. I used to love this about playing back in the day, a few surprise streaks could set you up and there was so much choice back in the day. Thanks for the video, I really enjoy the commentary on these old school machine videos, really takes me back. Times... J
  4. Yeah, been on the look out for decent artwork for this for many years, can't remember last time I saw one. I'm sure Dave must have one though. Was a dodgy emptier on this back in the day, you had to plug it, but you could get guaranteed repeat on Crazy Reels feature. Version 2 was a worker but by version 3 they had introduced the compulsory on/off alarm (The earliest version we have is V3). I'm looking into editing the roms so that the alarm is bypassed. J

    Retropie

I'm a massive fan of the SNES, in particular my favourite two games are Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 2. I'd been using an Xbox one controller in emulation which has been fine, but I just got a Bufallo, USB snes controller. ....and wow, it's pretty awesome and fairly close feel to the original, highly recommend one for retro gaming. J
  6. How about this... having a seperate entry in the lamp properties to include a space for a bright lamp if required, that way you can choose to add one or leave it out completely. Be nice to see some of these in a layout. I mean if the lamp is supported it automatically adds the space for a bright bitmap lamp image in the lamp properties. J
  7. I had a look on the Big Banker layout but couldn't understand how the extra bright lamp is added, couldn't find the component, is it automatic? I saw the effect the bitmap is overexposed. I did try a custom bitmap on the BIG BANKER letters but it didn't seem to work. J
  8. No mate, 'fast track' updates are very welcome. J
  9. There is an emulator update also Tommy. @Chris Shouldn't the update be named V6.1.1? Though it could get confusing. Is there a way to make make MFME check for updates and install as necessary. Would stop all the where is the download, what version do I need etc.... Though could open up a whole load of other problems. J
  10. There are so many setups, people have portrait monitor cabs. I'm only creating layouts at a constant 2160 deep going forward now that mfme supports large scale. I don't really want to release different sizes, just makes extra work. I was toying with portrait setup but machines don't fit those dimensions that great. J
  11. You could still empty ones that were TT'ing. As long as you plug machine before it finishes counting up the win is free. I remember some JPM's that if you plugged a token win and switched it off before it was above the cash threshold then that token win could be converted to cash. So a £6 token win plugged at £2.80 would pay it in cash. J
  12. On later revisions of most post 1995 JPM Ipact software there was an update that included default on/off alarm to combat fraud. I remember reading a manual for one and it said there was a way to disarm the alarm. Does anyone know anything about this? J
  13. Forgot to say, and you did mention it in your initial post, so just to confirm... ideally the machines need to be switched off for DX purposes. J
  14. This is what I usually work with, if I am creating a layout from photos. 1 x left hand top glass 1 x right hand top glass 1 x left hand bottom glass 1 x right hand bottom glass 1 x full top glass with cab in view 1 x full bottom glass with cab in view Pic of reels if possible Taking left and right shots cuts down on flash burn, the pics can be stitched and made square in photoshop. Main rule is make sure the quality is there, the most important part of producing a good quality DX, especially now that MFME supports large scale layouts. J
  15. Maybe for layouts that contain these lamps the rest of the lamps take a 20% brightness hit? J
  16. I did this layout originally, maybe I didn't emulate all lamps. I think Guitar owned some of these JPMs and he did explain how they did the extra bright lamps a few years back now. j
  17. If anyone can supply some hi-res images I would consider recreating this machine. This one I created back then was mostly redrawn and isn't as authentic looking as it could be. J
  18. I did mate as I also played it. It was just a case of loading a known token enabled IMPACT machine in MFME and checking what checkboxes were used. J
  19. Make sure you have checkboxes for 64 - 71. I took a look at RollerCoaster settings and these work. Token full must be one of these checkboxes as I just got 'skill nudge' bonus for £6 token win. J
  20. Not sure what the setting is, but when I had a play recently this is in token low state. You can just tell by the way it plays. No slow down on 'skill cash' as machine can't afford tokens. J
  21. Try this. J bigbankerback.bmp
  22. I was having the same problem I don't have the original artwork any longer unfortunately... 2003, wow. I was wondering whether it might be in the original JPeMU layout? J
  23. I can sort this graphic, I've squared it up, is there a layout in mfme to pop it into? J
  24. plug it on token wins, just before it finishes counting up on the bank. Either 5.80 on £6 token version or £7.80 on £8 token version one. J
  25. Oh please no, don't cheapen the vids with 'shout-outs' J
