  1. What kind of game, was it similar to anything else by Maygay? Wasn't a test machine by the looks of it as we have a 1993 rom and a 1994 rom revision, possibly £8 token update. If I saw a pic I might recognise it. J
  2. I’ve never seen that, we may have the roms. I can’t picture the machine is it an early 90’s machine?
  3. New York, New York? Clone of On the Buses, minus the emptier. Sure I’ve seen a WIP. J
  4. This hack I did doesn't quite play exactly the same, it will never offer a decent number exchange on jackpot repeat whereas an the original Monte release 4 or 5 would, they removed it from Release 6 J
  5. Definitely a drum machine on that Space - Magic Fly track. J
  6. Yes, you plugged it after the roll feature finished on a losing spin. After it reset it offered the feature again. You could just keep resetting it until it was empty. It did get rechipped, the rechip made it difficult as a you didn’t have much time to reset the machine, still doable on later programmes, I’ve done in mfme, just try different Roms. The early version was easy as it wasn’t time sensitive so you could plug it at your leisure J
  7. We used to plug all the BWB 2p'ers as well, Rat Race, Ace Chase, Win-a-Gain and loads more, after a win just reset the machine before it finishes clocking up the win to the bank and it will start clocking up the win again. I think the limit was £5 or £6, something like that, if you went past it's bank limit it would go back to zero. It was pretty decent for 2p play machine. These were everywhere in 1980's. There was something else on the some of these as well, not empty but if you got the jackpot from nudges, the gamble would still gamble out, so two pots etc, wasn't always easy to get this bonus jackpot though as the machine would get so ready it would start offering Win-A-Gain feature and you'd end up gambling it out anyway, but was a nice little extra. J
  8. Those Barcrest lo-techs are all the same emptier, you could have had three of them running side by side to make it a little different . You could factory reset this and then play till the machine streaked, then make sure you do a reset before the streak ended. Better way of doing this for me as you only had to plug it a few times rather than every £15 or so. Also on later chips, even some £4.80 versions of Nudge Nudge Wink Wink weren't doable, they would still factory reset but wouldn't be in a ready state. You could empty Mirage of 20p pieces via plugging on an odd amount when counting a win up, there would be 10p left and because it couldn't pay that it would just empty the 20p tube. Not a lot of people knew about that one J
  9. Wow, 13 hours man, that is insane!!! LOL Still an emptier. So I guess the gameplay is tweaked compared to SS? When you reset the machine, what version is it running. We might have an earlier version. J
  10. This machine has the same exploit as Kung Fu and Wild West, if I remember correctly. Has to be £15 jackpot version. J
  11. Sorry haven't got time to load the layout up, but try these £6 roms, they work and are £6 jackpot mate. Cheers J Bonanza (Jpm).zip

    ZX Spectrum Next

Yes was very popular machine over there when we’d move onto to 16bits, I think there were many cheap clones over there. J

    ZX Spectrum Next

The thing I find totally mind blowing are the demos people still write for the old 8 bits, I was watching some Spectrum ones earlier, some are insane, pushing the machines to their limits and then pushing them further, impressive stuff. J
  14. Chris, do you know if Pluto 5 and 6 are close hardware wise? J
  15. Wow, that's insane, well done, great vid as usual. Thank you I watched the other vid with that retrigger bug, wow that would be depressing, that has to be the worst bug on a slot. I guess you probably wouldn't complain if it was the other way round though. Still.... J
  16. There were 4 8 bit channels natively but these could be split to create 8 4 bit channels, more channel with lower quality sound. I used a lot of trackers back in the day, there was an 8 channel tracker called Octamed. J
  17. Cheers for the video Al. Enjoyed the Ted vid and the disassembly vid . Bit of a throwaway machine, pretty boring to play I imagine. Will check this new one out, thanks PS Are you going to be doing a video on the new BTG game Holy Diver. From the vids of gameplay I’ve seen it doesn’t seem too popular with casino streamers. Decent tunage though. J
  18. I remember getting some Kouros when I was a teenager in the 80's, I still buy it to this day, love the fragrance.
  19. I know, I was born in 1972 but my era was the 80’s for sure. J
  20. We used to get some cheap aftershave from my Aunty called Burley Sport? Think that's what it was called. J
  21. I just found it this evening. I thought it was but couldn't find the right advert. It was a chorus from a Skittles advert song. "Skittles..... chewy in the middle" from the 1980's. J
