  1. What was the one which said “we’ve got to rescue Rachel, the daughter of the president has been kidnapped” when idling/attracting? That was on st Anne’s pier for years at full volume!!!
  2. Reminds me of DOND diamond this one a little bit
  3. It’s not full metal jacket is it? In fact no scratch that.
  4. Yeah Woodsy helped me do exactly that, thanks works a treat now
  5. Ah ok, I’ll push to invincible I’m keen to see what it ends on!! Red 100 is predictably 100. I wondered if there was similar on the wheel at the end of the dond
  6. Is there a mega streak anywhere on star paws? Is it on the dond bonus gamble wheel??
  7. thanks all, very helpful thank you very much. Nice to know you've got time to help us novices
  8. Yeah still struggling. Do you mean open four windows of MFME (i.e. 4 different instances of MFME) and load the four games up, one in each instance? Or is there a way to open them all in the same instance of MFME? I've opened four instances of MFME and each of the four in turn, but I can't seem to get ctrl l to do anything after that
  9. Thanks. Do you mean open the emulator and then load the first one, then load game and load second one, and so on? When I load second one first one disappears from view..... or do you mean open the emulator four different times? Sorry for the basic question, it's probably really simple (they don't call me betamax man for nothing)
  10. Hi - probably a really basic one but on many videos I've seen the experts have multiple games open in the same window. In, say, 19.8, how do you do this? I've tried loading multiple games but it won't let me load more than one at once. As an example, to play party time 3 player you need the three players and then the top game. On the download it mentions opening them in the same window, linking them, and restarting them. I can't seem to get to the point where I can link them - of course, I can open them in different instances of MFME but I doubt this is the right thing to do! Thanks anyone - and apologies SM
  11. This reminds me of a total bell end of a landlord who walked over to us in the admiral in st Anne’s, and accused us of scamming his machines. A rich geezer and an early happy hour. He barred us/ why? I had one of the early text mobile phones and was sending texts and he was convinced we were scamming his machines. W4nker:
  12. Excellent this one. Plus it’s still in a few places round here!! I prefer the last Hamurai one that’s funny to listen to. One question, has anyone worked out how the steps work when you take the feature? By that I mean if you have two steps and don’t use them, sometimes you get them at the end of the dond feature and sometimes you don’t (very useful if you know you’re getting them). There doesn’t seem to be a pattern to whether you get them?
  13. This is fantastic stuff truly amazing work thank you. Look forward to having the time to get started after all these years. Daft question (I ask a lot of those) but the ROMs are the “code” that dictate how the machine plays, and what sounds re mapped to which function…..(I think I’ve explained that right!!) .. but how do the ROMs exit the manufacturers and arrive in the FME world? I’d have thought the ROM being the “secrets” of how a machine works would be Uber-protected by the manufacturer so nobody could open it/understand it? Feel free to point me to the right place on here which explains the ROMs btw! SM
  14. I once played a weakest link game on a quizzie in the flying handbag no less in blackpool (!) and helped a girl win 40 quid. She was delighted, but didn’t even buy me a beer!! About 2004 if memory serves me correctly.
  15. Very interesting topic and a variety of views, makes really good reading so thanks all. I never knew any emptiers existed from the early 90s right through to mid 2000s, and then when I started hearing about the ways players would target certain machines and empty them just made me avoid those machines, because in 95% of places in and around blackpool it’s fair to say there were players doing these things so you’d have little or no Chance of winning on said machines. So I’d leave them well alone, and just watch out for a “new” machine. i can remember sitting in a couple of pubs waiting for them to unload and set up a new machine off a wagon out of the plastic, before playing it for maybe the first time. That was the excitement for me rather than knowing how to empty it; learning how a new machine worked and what the features were and maybe, just maybe, walking away with a jackpot and experiencing the feeling that gave you! Still get that feeling when you get a jackpot, it’s just far, far less frequent with bigger jackpots and thus for me some of the attraction to play AWPs has gone as a result. I still like playing quiz machines (appreciate they aren’t AWPs) but they are less and less apparent nowadays too. SM
  16. Had this one in my local years ago although I’m sure it was 25 quid jp, or was there an older “open the box” years before?
  17. Ah that’s great, thanks. Understandable rule too! You’re right wearecity things have changed massively in the last 13 years or so!!!! Think I’ve got more than a little light reading to do.
  18. Daft question, but what exactly dictates whether or not a machine is emulatable (new word of the day!)? Is it the availability of the ROM? Imagining the day when Prince of Thieves or Chase the Rainbow are payable in an emulator but suspecting it’s years away!!
