  1. Cheers Al, great commentary as usual... it really isn’t a fun machine to play at all. Jiggin, which could be done the same seemed the much better machine, saved massively by its funny and adult themed sound package J
  2. It was a pretty decent skill machine this for a decent player back in the day. This one won't cheat on reel skill, not sure if there is a flag that will make it cheat if unable to afford jackpot. But I hit reel skill 4 times without it slipping, I did skill cash once for the jackpot, not sure if that can cheat but the last one does go pretty fast. Great machines though. They didn't have a streak, they could pay a fair bit but they never had a pronounced streak, shame as it would have made it an even better machine. J
  3. If you changed the roms it will cause ram reset, these don't seem to play well from a ram reset. Maybe they start at %? J
  4. Yes, I've tried everything, maybe these roms aren't switchable after all :(. Maybe Chris could take a look, looking at an actual switchable rom (labyrinth £10), you can see in the hex editor as you switch the dip, the byte at a certain location changes corresponding to the price of play in hex... 0A - 10p, 14 - 20p and 19 - 25p. Maybe they could be hacked but I don't have the time to look into it at the minute. Anyway here is Spinx £6 token roms, these are switchable via bank 2 dip. Switch 6 is 10p play, switch 7 is 5p play. Default is all off for 20p play. J Sphinx V4_2__5_10.bin
  5. I found a Pyramid manual from Spa's google drive. No option to switch, going from that manual, but these roms came out after the initial release so I believe they are switchable, though I've tried all dips with no luck. These were definitely switchable back in the day I pretty certain. J
  6. I know for sure that one local to me was £6 token and later it was switched down to 5p play £6 token jackpot. J
  7. Yes, I will post the rom later this evening, We do have 'switchable' rom for Pyramid, viewing the file in a hex editor I can see 5p play, 10p play and 20p play, so I assume it is switchable. Not sure if the phoenix dil switches are set up correctly, I don't have access to a machine manual. Maybe someone who has one can relay the dil option switches. J
  8. I'm sure the 5p roms are switchable, I don't know the DIL switches but will look into it for you, I will post up the Sphinx roms a little later fella J
  9. We have a proper £6 token rom for this machine if you want me to post it up fella J
  10. They are appreciated and I personally find them very entertaining fella. J
  11. I'd like to see a Degsy vid review of the excellent Electrocoin machines... Labyrinth, Sphinx, Pyramid. These were perfect machines for a casual player who was looking for some decent playability. They have possibly the fairest feature board out there and the synth sound is just epic. These machines were true AWP of their time in my opinion. J
  12. Great stuff Al... I agree with you about Empire machines, I think they are complete and utter garbage..... I do really like Ghost Train though, by far one of their best machines and did play somewhat like Roller Coaster. High Spirits, I'm pretty sure could be emptied from the Rollin Round feature, I think it was true skill and you could hit the jackpot if you were good enough. A guy in our local arcade used to hammer it when it was on 10p £8 cash jackpot. Not really had a go in the emulator I find it such a frustrating game. This and the Gambler are basically poor 'Barcrest - Jewel in the Crown' clones. If you think these are bad though, you ought to try 'Global - Bangin' Away'.... wow, that machine is an extremely poor clone of Psycho Cash Beast, terrible machine, the anti-force coding in that is tight, though it could be emptied on an earlier chip.... which we do have. J
  13. He probably just wants the entire fme library of layouts, at least he will have a collection to search through so he will be more up to date with what is available. Have you tried the search function over at FruitEmu, it's terrible. Sometimes you search for part of the fruit machine name and it won't flag anything, you search for the whole name and it will find it? J
  14. There no harm in asking to get an MFME layout DVD, contact Geddy, pay a small donation and you will have an up to date collection. It's a great way of populating your MFME library, especially as some layouts seem elusive or just haven't been uploaded, older layouts I'm talking. Note that a lot will need converting to V5/V6, though you can still use an older version of MFME if you wanted. J
  15. OK mate, no worries, I don't think I have an up to date rom set to be fair. J
  16. It always depends on whether or not the roms are available. I can tell you for sure that Jailbirds roms aren't available at the minute. Also it's possible Road to Riches is SC6? Which is currently an unemulated tech. J
  17. Someone does offer an MFME DVD service that will contain every released layout for mfme. J
  18. Got mine sorted in the end, but I put in my password incorrectly, it locked me out of my account and it must have triggered something as I then received a reset password email Not sure what CH can do if his is an old email account, maybe try contacting from the contact link? J
  19. Me took CH, I sent for email password recovery but it never gets sent to my email? J
  20. I think it is redirecting to Pete radio station website. Temporarily I would imagine. J
  21. Not sure if I'm allowed to upload the layout, but it's available at dadsfme. You might need to sign up to download it. Here is a link to the layout, (as long as you are registered) http://dadsfme.co.uk/index.php?topic=498.msg8038#msg8038 J
  22. Hey, Fjustices. I enjoy your channel, always find old legal emptiers interesting ... bit of an obscure one, but wonder if you could do Astra Classic Slots. We have the version that can be emptied already running in emulation. A mate of mine used to do them, not seen him in many years now but I think it was something to do with a setup for bars that was free. Worth doing a vid even if you don't do the emptier as I'm sure someone will know the correct method. J
  23. I was building a cab with 2 x 10" touchscreens, mfme didn't support multi screen at this time and ended up scrapping the project. Not sure if mfme supports multi screen in the later releases. J
  24. It can be difficult to resist... remembering bad experiences is a good way to sway yourself away from gambling. Have you considered self exclusion? Might help. The agony is unbearable as like any addiction you need that fix. Do you have any hobbies, what line of work are you in? J
