My only worry is that his family have no emotion invested in his life work and worst case scenario is that they could just sell mfme source code to the highest bidder. I'm not saying that will happen but if it did then you can bet your bottom dollar that someone would monetise it somehow. Which would go against all that Chris stood for with his 'free' emulator. If it's an option then I'd rather it be here at it's spiritual home, in the hands of respectful coders that we have here at present. We have a couple of actual coders on these forums. One is a life long friend of mine who is actually creating a 3D wrapper of sorts for mfme and pretty much got proper FME into MAME by creating an MFME layout converter tool. I can vouch for JP 100%. He is a coder so understands the actual time involvement on such projects. J

Even though the intentions are good, I don’t think we should be talking about hacking mfme, let alone releasing a hacked version on the forums. It just doesn’t seem right to me, personally. J

Is it possible to use the actual reel symbol as a lamp mask with maybe some glow bleed? This is for future thoughts mate, I know you are working on the primary workings before you polish bits Totally love this though mate, really interesting stuff, fantastic skills J

It's pretty decent, any small text could be created over the upscaled artwork in photoshop or whatever image processing programme you use. It improves the bigger assets brilliantly!! J

Yeah, those free wins come directly from the saved for streak pot. I’ve seen one take well over £100+ from after a refloat due to the emptier. The good thing about the machine profile is that there are two pots at play, even when you smash this it would soon get ready on the main game side, that always kept well to it’s target due to it not allowing any wins above £5. It just never sees those extra wins as it’s not fussed about the streak pot so it just carries on within it’s own rules Great manual emptier though for sure, this and superpots. J

It was JP’s amazing work with mame and fruit machine emulation. He enabled me to create the first Deal or No Deal machine to run. I only built the layout JP did some impressive under the hood stuff. He also created a tool that could convert any mfme layout to mame. A shit ton of work, that he devoured lol Maybe a section for that but I’m not sure mame is the thing going forward ? J

By the way upscaling has not been incorporated into mfme, as far as I am aware anyway. J
