  1. Fantastic work, impressive saves with the cpu and gpu, thanks for the update bud J
  2. They are re-releasing those cards with a lower hash rate (LHR). Not just driver, think there is onboard hardware to prevent all Nvidia cards from being good for mining. I think the scalpers are the real issue, buying up stock with bots etc and reselling the cards for double and sometimes triple the original price. I think in a few months there will be a lot of scalpers left with normal priced cards J
  3. Does anyone know what emu front end it uses? That’s cheap with everything set up, it can take massive amount of time to get everything configured, might get one of these just for the emulator setup J
  4. I’m using a shitty GT710 at the minute, I can afford to get a new GPU, but I’m not paying over 2k for a card (3080) that is usually £700. I do need a new GPU but will wait it out J
  5. Thanks for these impressive updates mate, it’s going to be bonkers playing in this simulator J
  6. Wow, you know what would also be amazing, a playlist depending on the year of the machine. So I’m playing an 1987 Step and Skip, I will have all the top radio hits of that era J
  7. Great work JP ;(. Is it possible to render the lamps authentically like the lamp flashes on and decays like a real bulb? I know later machines like sc4/5 etc use leds but would love to have option to set this decay rate so the lamp isn’t instant on and off states. Do you know what I mean? That’s how the machines hypnotised you in the darkened arcades Could you also add assets, I need a tall pillar lava lamp , maybe a strobe or a nightclub blue light J
  8. Someone might know, but there would have been an easy way to stop 'pros' targeting these machines to soak up those fat cash pots. By simply having a static cashpot value or one that refills to a high value once the pot has been won. J
  9. Such a shame with the timing of this project and Chris' untimely departure Think there could have been good 2-way collaborations. J
  10. I think what boulderdash is getting at is that a pro player could hammer a Club Cops, but the machine will still stick to its percentage and offer gameplay consistent to how it was originally programmed. J
  11. Any savvy punter or player would consider the cashpot level J
  12. The jackpot or high win could come out of any feature, I find that occasional punters aren’t risk gamblers and would happily collect a reasonable amount on the board. A person who knows the machine better will sack it off and go for big one We had a regular in our club an old guy, he didn’t really know the machine in-depth but he would sit on it until he hit a big win or a cashpot, there was no real secret to getting the cashpot, even a normal punter would probably hold those symbols when they are in view. J
  13. Lol,, I’ve even seen it Al Bloody hell, it’s before 10am though!! BFM were the king of clubbers back in the 90’s, Funfair was exceptional if you were good at reel skill J
  14. Totally agree boulderdash, give me a club cops and robbers any day... or a Public Enemy I didn’t like clubbers per se, but these were extremely entertaining and fair. J
  15. Club Cops and Robbers is a perfect clubber. I think it’s a superbly balanced game for serious players and regular punters. Anyone can win on it, It’s only when you play it more that you pick up on how the game behaves. You should do a video on it, extremely entertaining machine for sure. J
  16. Wasn't there also the 10p as £2 worth of play fiasco. Was that also Astra or was that on some of the Mazooma games, Random Spinner seems to ring a bell to me. J
  17. I saw some guys plug one in a local arcade to me, they got it into demo play mode, if I remember correctly it was on free play and the balance would go into negative figures, if you could get the bank with a positive balance it would actually let you collect these wins. J
  18. Yeah, I can vouch for this, I ,made a shit load on Party Games. You could also get them into free play and get a plus bank and it will let you collect J
  19. Nice one JP!! I love the tech updates J
  20. Nice optimisations there bud, enjoy your ale J
  21. I actually had an interview at Barcrest in early 2000’s. I wanted to work in either the art or sound development area. They actually had a room where you could free play all the current Barcrest machines. When I was there it was machines like Hot Stuff, All Fired Up, I was told anyway. I didn’t see the room personally but thought it was pretty cool. J
  22. I’m sure someone somewhere has access to all all the back barcrest revisions. If I worked there back in the day I would have been keeping a digital version of all programmes for sure. J
  23. I guess it all depends how quick the red boards come round. I saw someone do an early chip Lotta Luck in Skegg Butlins many years ago, the invincible came round so much quicker. The first cash streak he took gave him £75, he sacked off a few more invincible that came round quick and he actually emptied the machine, it was stilL buzzing. J
  24. I’m not even sure if you need to refuse 3 invincible boards. Wonder how it responds by just refusing jackpot boards? J
  25. Superb, the lighting looks amazing fella ;). J
