StarryEyedGuy
Successfully unzipped the folder and installed MFME on windows 11, The MFME window appeared and I went to load a game, A message appeared saying it needed version 21.0, I clicked ok and it forced closed and now I am unable to launch MFME again. I have tried to Install from the .exe file again but it still does not work, has anyone else experienced this problem before? MFME v20 is on my Desktop but it will not run. StarryEyedGuy
Just a few screenshots from what I'm experiencing, I'm hoping to try to download another machine which only requires v20.0 in 4 hours when my limit has been refreshed. I ended up downloading for installer a few more time yesterday out of frustration as I thought I had screwed up the installation and used up all my downloads

I have finished
Try downloading MFME 20.1 instead, there is a release of that in the emulator releases section. Games for MFME V21 do not work with V20.0 as far as I know. Checking for updates does not work anymore since the creater Wizard's death.
WonkySausage
I'm not too sure where you're going wrong. I just did a fresh install of MFME v20.0 and got to 20.1 with no issues. On first fire up of MFME.exe, windows will ask something about allowing MFME to make changes to your computer. You click YES. Then it'll run the set up wizard. - "This will set up MFME on your computer" window, click next - Select Application Folder, where you want MFME to be stored on your hard drive. Default is c:\MFME\v20. Click next. - Additional Tasks (click if you want an icon on your desktop and create start menu folder or not) - MFME v20.0 installs. click finish when done to close the setup wizard. If you kept Launch MFME ticked, it will automatically launch the first time otherwise > - Fire up MFME v20.0 again - Immediately when you load it up,you will likely again be asked if you would like MFME to make changes to your device, click yes. - Now , when v20.0 is loaded for the first time, you are shown the image below: Status: Version 20.1 is available. Click on update and it will download. I've done it and it works fine. Once it's updated, click the little red X on the top right of the update window (not the main MFME window) and MFME 20.1 will now load automatically after a few seconds. It will cycle through the credits/T&C's and when it's done it completely you'll be able to click on close at the bottom right, where you will be prompted to agree to said T&C's. You click YES. And that's it, all installed, and no need to update every time. I would suggest completely starting from extracting MFME from the zip folder so that it thinks it's the first time you've ever tried using it, as if a previous install hasn't gone correctly, trying to use MFME won't work properly. Assuming you've stored MFME in folder c:\MFME\v20, deleting everything in folder c:\MFME might help before a new fresh install. Just don't delete the zip containing MFME in it that should be in your downloads folder tbf. Hope this helps Edited March 6 by WonkySausage

Thank you But unfortunately I keep running into v20.0 in this forum and experiencing the same problems when trying to update/upgrade to v20.1, I member has sent me a copy of v20.1 and it seems to work now after adding a PacDrive32.dll file alongside the MFME.exe file. Unfortunately I still do not have the option to update to v20.1 as shown in your image. It is very odd... A member did send me a copy of v20.1 and it seems to have worked. But both versions (v20.0 and v20.1) are both temperamental on my PC, they will only open when they want to LOL I always try and run the unzipped file as an administrator and click the yes button to allow it to make changes to my PC but sometimes it simply will not load. I also try and run it directly through WinRAR unzipped and most of the time it will sometimes work.

MFME v20.0/20.1 will only work on Windows 10 PC's (and don't seem to be running into any issues on windows 11 as of yet) - any earlier versions it won't work properly, if at all
