  1. I suspect that generally people release layouts with a higher % than the arcades. These things can be changed with the config section in the emulator while the game is loaded and in ‘edit’ mode. Depending on the machine rom (game software) both stake and % are changeable but it’s not always the case. You’ll find even on the higher % the machine will play pretty much as you’d expect in real life as this is emulation rather than simulation. Most UK slots are compensated, so a setting of 70% means that every £10 played yields £7. Though the machine doesn’t have to meet this over £10 worth of plays, I don’t know the exact cycle but I’d say over 1000’s of spins it will be close to percentage. Also a lot of UK machines would have a separate pot which saved for a big streak, so when the machine was streaking, for example Barcrest Blue Moon would have a very defined streak whereby it would offer nudges and wins every other credit till the streak was over. 2. It will be too big for bandwidth, a link to a download is best. It might be no one has one any longer. Or maybe search the net or facebook groups they will be about. I had one years ago when I was having a dabble but I no longer have it. J
  3. He’ll only likely need an image of the hard drive to start with so he can take a look and see what’s going on. I don’t know how specific or bespoke the motherboard is, off the shelf or modified? J
  4. Ah right. I thought it just wouldn’t accept another graphics card. I meant firmware by the way. J
  5. I imagine the barcrest gpu’s have a modified bios rather than off the shelf consumer units. I’m sure someone who has one can get a dump of the gpu bios to see what mods where made regarding screen config. J
  6. Yeah, I guess it makes sense that they locked in specific specs. Though I imagine someone could potentially turn off that check, it will do it on initiation. J
  7. Did any of these barcrests units use any different hardware or are they all the same. Say an mpu5 t7 did they all use the same hardware specs etc? J
  8. Games could be notoriously difficult. I used to play a game called Abu Simbel, that was extremely tough, but good game J
  9. The games are pc based. J
  10. Not sure why barcrest didn’t just go full pc based on these techs. What does the mpu control, lights, hoppers etc? J
  11. I was going to say they are in older versions of mame but preliminary and not playable. J
  12. @Chopaholic Ah, no worries, I hope everything is ok with you bud. J
  13. Looks like a decent game, frustrating but pretty cool puzzler J
  14. @Chopaholic I feel a Degsy video might be in order to cover this new emulator J
  15. Oh, I remember this, he was also working on a SC6 emulator if I’m not mistaken. Nice surprise J
  16. Is this a new emulator? Is Cobra 3 not an mfme emulated tech? J
  17. The option for multiple screens needs checking in preferences. Like I said though it probably won’t fit nicely just by checking that. J
  18. Well you’d need to edit the layout to suit your requirements to split it nicely. No easy way apart from editing every layout you want to fit. J
  19. Mfme won’t run natively on an iPad or mobile. J
  20. Aye, I’ve a fair few machines with perished adhesive strips. I guess the heat over time dries it out or maybe it just doesn’t age welll? J
  21. Version 5 is the initial £10 release. It states that in the info J
  22. @ChopaholicI’m fairly certain we have earlier versions but they will be £8 tokens. I’m sure I’ve seen v2 or v3. I’ll take a look, they will be £8 tokens. J
