  1. Oh, I’m thinking of another slot video channel J
  2. The main issue is that we only have one coder who is doing all the work, these projects are just too much work for one coder for sure. J
  3. It’s doubtful. I believe JP does release his source code so literally anyone could potentially work on it if they so choose. J
  4. I’m not a fan of any kind of simulated fruit machines personally. J
  5. Mfme is pure emulation those cash man games are simulation. But to play the actual machines via Mfme emulation it’s best to use a windows system. I believe there maybe a workaround for Mac based systems but it’s not something I have experience with personally J
  6. You basically need a Windows based system if you want to use mfme. What is Cashman? J
  7. We do have a MAB Bar X game, I remember it does run, think it might run on Astra Sys1 It is a £15 jackpot. J
  8. They won’t be mab chips as the extra tech isn’t emulated. Surely just concept ones unless they are on s2 tech. J
  9. Remember the MAB system did its own security, this is unemulated and there is very little technical information available on how it works. But I believe the rom gets scrambled by the mab system and then unscrambled, it’s not just a plugged in rom it has its own daughter board that plugs into the Electrocoin motherboard. J
  10. Multi Super Nudge is basically a MAB chip. It’s also the closest you will get right now to a MAB Bar X version in an emulator. It plays and streaks exactly the same. J
  11. Yeah later Astra Games are Pluto6 tech which isn’t emulated. J
  12. I can only imagine some companies running Win7 Enterprise with extended support. I don’t think that many home users will be using it today to be honest. It’s time for the original poster to get an update. I believe some older versions up to 6.1 will run, but lots of layouts might not be compatible? J
  13. You need to download MFME from the downloads section. You require V20. Not too sure if the latest release will work on Win7. I don't know anyone still on Win7. J
  14. It’s unlikely Electrocoin will offer any help with any security features of even their early machines. But you don’t have to ask permission, you are welcome to do what you want and if you wanted to enquire then it’s all good. I’m sure Electrocoin know all about emulation so you are hardly going to be putting mfme in jeopardy, or mame for that matter. It might actually be worth taking a look at what is emulated in mame, the gal chip might already be emulated but not implemented, also mfme can no longer be worked on as it was a closed source project, fme in mame is a lot more niche and a very slow burner. Rom hacking is a definitive candidate for the erratic partly running Electrocoins, but chuzzy kits run encrypted roms, chuzzy chip is unemulated. The kit plugs into the Phoenix board and does some magic on the roms and descrambles the code so that they run. I might be wrong with some of the chuzzy info here by the way. Even when unscrambled it could have further security like the gal chip. J
  15. Be nice to see Pluto6 for some of the Astra Lo-Techs, I’m not too fussed about Scorp6 or MPU6 personally but be nice to see the techs fully emulated for future preservation etc. J
  16. MPU6, Scorpion6 and maybe the Pluto techs. Those are possibly the only techs remaining to cover any remaining unemulated AWP’s with physical reels. J
  17. Also to add, there is very little in the way of classic reel based AWP being manufactured nowadays. It might all be totally digital and random nowadays. Not seen any new Astra machines that are real based, though I haven’t been into an arcade since around 2021. J

    Deathchase

Insanely great for its time. Used to love this game J
  19. Even on later chips bars would hold now and again. I had 2 holds, which is max hold scenario. Getting the bars any other way comes from a separate pot so you could trap these into giving bars until it just span it in to compensate. If it never dropped in you could have emptied these. One of the great lo techs in more recent times for sure. They were a fairly safe bet especially if you knew how to manipulate all the pots. Interestingly the 1st emptiable rom doesn’t have the les pot compared to the later revisions. There is also a certain scenario that when bars hold ready and it offers the big streak winks you can just keep sacking it off as it likes to offer bars from those 9 nudges even though it won’t always display the bar win initially on the wink. J
  20. Ah, great, that would be the memory leap, it’s loaded the onboard low spec card and filling the memory possibly Glad it’s working. J
  21. Yeah, I have a 4070 mobile gpu, as soon as I got it I disabled the onboard gpu completely so it only uses the 4070. Like I say I have zero issues with any layouts within mfme under Win11. I imagine Dad has his basic onboard gpu disabled and opts for his 4050 as his main gpu. J
  22. Is there any unused lamps that are left hidden on the layout. I think there a few clean up tools in mfme to clean any debris. Very strange though. You got issues, I want them so I can have a delve into it!! Lol J
  23. Yeah edit mode literally is the full edited sized layout so mfme doesn’t have to redraw, stretch artwork to screen. I think is where the issue lies. I had the same issue when I was using blended lamps on a DX I did, when the machine shrunk down to my screen size from whatever res I designed it in it would be painfully slow, when in edit mode it ran perfectly fine with no issues so maybe it’s the way mfme is down or upscaling the graphics. Maybe just a fundamental issue that is spec related, maybe even Windows 11 related. Though I have encountered zero issues personally on my win11 machine, which makes it even more frustrating. J
