  1. Also, sadly, the author passed away a few years ago. J
  2. The source code was released for v2.0, but that is a very old release from early 2000’s. There is no source code available for later versions as it was a closed source project. J
  3. That’s the thing bud, work and life get in the way of these hefty projects. In a perfect world this would be a paid gig. I wonder how long this project would take if this was your sole day job? Real shame it’s such a niche market, I imagine people with coding skills are looking for the money J

Yes, I was a bit of a tracker head. I’ve used Octamed. My go to was Noiserekker. Miss those days in the 90’s!! I just love the tracker way of making tunes J
  5. A quick read on google, looks like they are able to be dumped. I imagine the data is scrambled with the receiving end deciphering it? I don't really know a lot about this kind of stuff. I'm sure it won't just be as simple as dumping the data as it would seem a bit pointless if it is security. J
  6. Safety against game piracy is imperative. Pluto 6 uses two-stage customer-specific security giving superior protection to your gaming application. A security chip and security software ensures that once your application is developed it is well and truly safeguarded. Hopefully not of course (this may even be a recent development, and not be present on the older fruit machine hardware already deployed), and if the dev has a running game, then they may have already bypassed it... but might be a roadblock depending on how it's implemented etc. It sounds like some manufacturers never utilised it (reflex) so it might be possible to bypass it, well time will tell of course. J
  7. That is the security chip next to the CF card. I had a Pluto6 machine for a while that’s definitely it bud. J
  8. Wow, would love to see Pluto6 just a certain few Astra lo-techs. Great stuff J
  9. You certainly must have downloaded stuff. If you want unlimited access you can donate to the site, that will unlock downloads for a full year I believe. J
  10. Maybe the dongle isn’t emulated or bypassed yet, I believe sc6 used these? J
  11. I hope they do. I can’t see the point in putting a vid up if it’s just for personal use. Would be a shame if it wasn’t for future release. Who knows what else they have emulated. J
  12. Wow, this is great, possibly a new emulator coder breaking through. Or maybe an old one? I'd love to see Pluto 6 emulated. Shame they don't post on here. J
  13. Oh I see a Cobra 3 emu video too, interesting stuff J
  14. Isn’t that actually Scorp5, looks like Vecs release? J
  15. Yes, lol I did I guess the Falcon made sense for cost purposes, again it's a shame it wasn't a commerical success, I think they could have been a major player. I mean, same with SEGA, they kind of lost their way. The Dreamcast was pretty groundbreaking console, sadly not a huge success, I got one when they first came out and Soul Caliber blew me away it was pretty insane. So many great games on that system, not sure what went wrong. Marketing? J
