  1. I think when my hopper was paying all the coins out in one go the wire what went into either the I pac or the pac drive had come loose (can’t remember which ) so the hopper got the notification to start paying out but was not getting the notification to stop hence all the coins coming out
  2. I had the same problem with all the £1 coins coming out in one go the other week and one of the wires (ground I think it was ) was not connected properly once connected it worked fine , I no you have probably checked them a million times already!
  3. I did this video for someone else but it shows how i do the light numbers
  4. WOW!!! fantastic just tried this on my laptop and all works fine
  5. looks great , looking forward to your updates and progress
  6. The model village amusements Great Yarmouth has something similar, they are all on old penny’s which you buy something like 20 old penny’s for a pound to use on the machines
  7. I had the same problem and did the same as you and cut the laptop cable and it worked fine , the wires on mine was black white and blue but yours looks different??
  8. Yes it really does make a difference , i got all my buttons and 5v bulbs from arcade world
  9. Hi , You will need a parallel hopper this is the one i got of Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255305399790?hash=item3b71633dee:g:8mgAAOSwKpphzdg3 also im using this type of coin mec https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224843021718?hash=item3459b03d96:g:uw0AAOSw17VevCf3 I used these for connections to the hopper and the coin Mec https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224448044824?var=523232367504 It is also important as i find out that the hopper shares the same ground with your pc/laptop if not the coins will not pay out. There are quite of few diagrams in the cabinet build thread for the wiring of these
  10. Really pleased you have got it working
  11. Yes i think half the fun is changing the tickets in the ticket eater , the arcade is called the oasis with bingo so you actually get some decent prizes!
  12. There is an arcade in Hemsby near Great Yarmouth who have removed the ticket payout and instead the machine prints you a receipt with the amount of tickets you have won
  13. I cut the cable here in the photo on my laptop this is 20v and is enough power for my 2 hoppers and my coin mech
  14. The hoppers are now working fine , the problem was that the hoppers whete being powered by a transformer and did not share ground with the ipac and pacdrive so the solution was to power everything from my pc cable and it’s all working fine now . just need to start making a cabinet now !
  15. Yes it’s paying out fine for me , perhaps you have not got it set correctly somewhere??
  16. @Psycon Yes ive cut the cable before it goes into the laptop and its giving out 20v so its powering the hopper fine , not sure if 20v is ok for coin mech if it is i will use it for that and not bother with the other power supply
  17. @Psycon @Reg @No1Stoney and anyone else , It was the common ground which was the problem , connected hopper to my pc cable which is 20v and now the hopper works perfect!!!! Thanks everyone Have you got yours working @Psycon?
  18. Mines set up like the diagram I have 24v transformer for hopper then 12v transformer for coin mech but ipac and pacdrive go to the pc usb which is obviously a separate ground to the transformers , like you say may be that
  19. Mine is set up just the same as yours
