  1. Believe it or not, I haven't got a microphone on my desktop! Some of these tricks and emptiers probably do require some commentary. The alarm is Barcrest's way of stopping machines from being completely emptied. When the machine has gone too far over percentage then it triggers the critical error.
  2. This video is now possible thanks to @Mavrozas he uploaded the 0.1 roms for Barcrest Cash Attack. The trick involves plugging the machine and we got away with doing a few of these in the pubs! Barcrest installed a critical error when the machine goes too far over percentage, otherwise this would be a complete empty. You can see the error at the end.
  3. I haven't even bothered to play my Just The Ticket layout after the video I recorded. It never rolled in the feature, so I literally had to force a feature or I would endlessly be gambling out jackpots!
  4. Ah right, so the Spotted Dick rom can run on £5 10p. The switches do different things for each technology so you would need to read up on exactly how they affect the machine. They probably do different things for each machine within the same technology.
  5. In your pic above, you changed the stake and jackpot correctly but the rom or layout won't allow those settings. You will find it will do a stake key error or something similar.
  6. Jiggin In The Riggin does have a £5 layout in the gallery and downloads. It's Dx02 but it's wrongly listed as £15. So if you downloaded Jiggin Riggin then load Dx02. As far as I know, we don't have any £5 roms available for Spotted Dick which is a shame, so there certainly won't be a £5 layout. As far as Empire Games, there is a £5 rom for The Gambler but I'm sure I came across a £5 rom for Ghost Train.
  7. Tick the s door and then go into configurations and you can change the stake or jackpot. Some roms will allow multiple stakes and jackpots and others won't. You will get something like a stake key error if the rom won't allow for a particular stake or jackpot amount. Which machines do you want to see £5 jackpots for out of curiosity?
  8. It's probably just a RAM reset error for every time a new rom goes into the machine.
  9. Try and load it again. I think the error goes away.
  10. Or bottom right bonus gives move back 3. So move back 3 onto taxi square. Taxi to spin square for red boxes trap.
  11. I think it is just that 70 decal that needs to change to 100.
  12. On DOND Red Hot when you need 2 more red boxes for red matrix, the machine can spin a 12 to land on the phone which opens the top board and that square changes to spin. Also I think the bonus can give taxi when you need 1 more red box.
  13. The way to trap £100s is the same as the later £70s. I still know of a £70 Perfect Deal in an arcade.
  14. There are no early program Perfect Deals about anymore but there are still some later program £70s and of course the £100 version. So it's probably "forbidden" in the fruit machine laws to do a video showing the revised playing method for later £70s and £100, much like Power Play in that respect. I know Power Play cannot be emulated but revealing the playing method on these could get you into a lot of trouble!!! There is a lot more to the revised method involving swapping stakes at the right time and getting the cash pots etc. The bonus comes into play again though, both for gaining the red matrix and going for the cash pot.
  15. Here is a video showing a Golden Game running on the early 1.2 program roms. I emptied a few of these back in the day. Basically don't hold red xs for the £5 win and just hold xs with the Golden X. The £5 xs win pot builds up and it will keep giving the Golden Game most of the time when you hold the Golden X. You can take nudge in £5 wins and it doesn't matter if it throws a win straight in. There are reel positions where you can setup the Golden X on the line. The main setup is the bar 1 or 2 above the win line.
  16. About 15 years ago I saw some guys messing around with Party Games in an arcade. One of them was kind of bald and making weird noises and there was a tall one with dark hair and a younger one with glasses who was driving a Golf. I used to see them a few times in arcades around the east coast. Apparently they came from Skegness or Grimsby.
  17. There are lots of different ways to approach this game, depending on how well it plays etc. You can let the third red board go in for the cash streak and it can do £50 for example.
  18. Possibly, but I have tried the method refusing 1 red board and then going in the middle on the 2nd red board and the streak gave something between £15 and £25.
  19. I think the layout on the legacy section uses the FBOY 0.3 roms which is a later program. There are FBOY 0.1 roms in one of the downloads from loo. I'm sure the feature can go red even after landing on a ? and getting skill continue. You need at least 3 red boards for the middle streak to give £45 - £60. After you killed off the 3rd red board then you can just let the machine go in for the middle streak.
  20. The second red board always took a while on those later programs. When you take the cash repeater, the machine gives you a chance to get the next higher cash amount. Being that buzzed up, it will often win that gamble just to mess you up even more.
  21. There are some Pure Madness cabinets about where the bells are £70 Jackpot. It includes the name fill feature as well.
  22. It's amazing how many machines could still be manipulated in times after this by switching off when it's clocking up or paying out wins.
  23. Downloaded it and had a look. Is this Dx03 but without the side artwork?
  24. On later programs, the feature board will start 1 cash and 1 feature when the machine is dead. This means that the machine will often lose the gamble after you step to a 3 or 10. On this early program, the gamble should never lose when you step to a 3 or 10 and you can see this in the video. Basically they never programmed the machine to go in a dead state! These roms were provided to us here by loo. They are in one of his uploads. Actually I might have got them from Mecca forum when he stopped posting them here for a little bit. It's either here or Mecca anyway!
  25. Here is the playing method for Battle Axe 0.3 program roms. The machine never goes dead, which means you can collect the highest win possible on every board. I did a ram reset and played £360 worth of credits before the game play in this video. At the start of the video I show you the program and the percentage (86%) and then the statistics showing £360 in and £462 out. The machine played really well allowing me to get a few jackpots but no streak yet. I'm starting this video at a point where hopefully the streak isn't far off. As it happens, the machine started to play a bit crap as soon as I started recording! It took a while to get a jackpot but the machine did streak after.
