Suspended the recent update for a few hours, it will be back online later today @bungle been doing a bit of testing for me,
What a star !!
I found the startup issue on a brand new install, turns out it doesn't like an unassigned shutdown button but didn't clearly identify that was the issue so took longer to locate it than to fix it.
I have a few things to do so it should be back online later.

If you had the choice would you run FruitBar in 64 bit ? Everyone seems to have a capable x64 bit processor these days so thought I would ask the question.
I have never released a x64 bit version but there is one built, maybe an option for donation to get a x64 bit release.

Wondering what the interest is in this version of FruitBar with skinned 3D cabinets, if its of interest to you give me a like or awesome or something !!
I did have a server crash at some point, so looks like I have to recreate some of the web side of the FruitBar 2,
The idea of FruitBar 2 is to use skins so every 3D cabinet can be themed and the skin saved locally or shared online built with the integrated skin designer. This means there would be a community of users sharing their skins and hopefully build interest in this type of system.
The cabinet designer currently works with two types of cabinet designs like casino and the view you see before you and the skins really bring it to life with the cabinets rotating on the main page screen as you would scroll through to select the rom you wish to play.
The example image is a cabinet view built using the designer of the Super Deluxe BAR-X

Just upgraded FruitBar online, if you want to upgrade an existing version you will need to grab this from the forum the upgrade feature will download in this release.
Also fixed a couple of other things.....
Don't forget once installed you will need your credentials to see the new updates,
you will see this opening screen once you install the new release.
Don't forget you can put the top graphics where ever you want them, I personally like them at the bottom but the choice is yours

I have done an update that should resolve this and an issue in the upgrade too and probably some other tweaks here and there..... will try to upload it over the weekend probably tomorrow.

Must click the "SAVE" button on the settings menu (bottom right) initially when first booting up even if not changing any settings. I guess it creates a much needed file ? :-
What a star, Yes it will create the default files, will have to look into this one not had anyone else with the same issue.
I actually don't really get anyone reporting any issues.

What version of windows is this ?
You have directx installed ?

Never heard of anyone having to turn off DEP, I run Windows 11 and 10 without changing DEP settings, but did it work for you ?

The link was in my signature, I will get around to uploading all the themes again, I have added a few on there which will get someone started but I also need to add the instructions on how to setup the themes for people that do not know.

Quickly added a downloadable link on fruitcade.co.uk
Basically that release will allow you get all the updates straight from the site as I do the updates rather than looking for a new version.
I have always released a 32bit version of the fruitbar so not sure if anyone would be interested in a 64bit release ?
I am actually wondering if I should create a system where you can auto update your themes based on the roms you have so it would basically self build your archives from the site.
Just a few ideas knocking about but feel free to add yours.
I amended the loading screen so this is the screen you will be looking for on the new version, I will get around to completely changing this.

Yes, done..
Because of the transparency on the settings page it didn't allow you to drag the page but I have done a work around.
This is fixed in the new release.
Just a note to say that the form will not be draggable when you put the page into transparency this is done by using the transparency bar on the bottom right when you make the page partially invisible to align your view.
The image shows the current view, I'm going to change it but might just release it and change it later as I have other developments pressing,

This is one of the most important update features to be aware of and that's the username and password to enable the software updates.
Now this feature is working its a case of casting and eye ever over the software and sorting any loose ends, not actually released a new version of this for a long time even though I have done probably quite a few things over that period of time but with no domain online it just became tiresome to keep a dynamic site online.
Until now.....
So not long now......

Right, the site is online fruitcade.co.uk
This will allow me to put some theme images back online and support the user base of FruitBar.
Already the auto upgrade feature is back online but i'm going to link this into the site which will hopefully help the community to grow as upgrades will only happen through the application with logon credentials.
Although the message shown is an old one, its just a test image I did earlier so test its back online, it wont work for earlier versions of the program as they will be looking on another url.
Lots of work to do on the site but at least its online for a while,
The updated release will be on the site soon, just want to do a few things it does include the addition of changing the gapping as shown in the image below.

@Fruity Nut I do have to put a link and a site back online, ready for what comes next.
Rather than releasing a one off I will release a version with a working upgrade link within the program so then its more automated and will check for new versions on start up.
Sorry if its not what you were looking for but it will be online shortly,

I'm always doing bits and bobs, I know a few people on here run it on their cabinets and it even has touch controls they just scale everything up for there display or how they want it to look, for example the top logo's can be placed at the bottom or where ever you want them and you just adjust the scales to make things bigger or smaller.
There is a new version but I have not released it, it has the 3d cabinet designer as the cabinets are all in 3d and also I allowed for the sharing of skins.
I'm always busy doing some development or another.

Sorry couldn't edit my post and noticed the image had the bottom cut off,
This what the screen play looks like, everything is editable, scalable, etc if there is a better frontend let me know.

Always doing something @davep180 just not necessarily FruitBar but rebuilding my library so want to get it looking right and that bit always bugged me, plus a couple of other things that I think needed resolving.
As I currently have two dedicated servers I might even get the images back online and do a little more work, depends if there is any real interest in the project, not forgetting the 3d version with the cabinet designer.

There was always one thing that bugged me with FruitBar and that was the option to increase the scale of the top graphics there was never an option to decrease or increase the gapping between the graphics....
Obviously in this instance my top graphics are shown on the bottom but you will notice the gapping has been added, not finished just yet but it was just something i needed to add, the option shown on the bottom right corner.

Been busy sorting a few things as well as a holiday so I have been a bit quiet lately,
So how about an update as I am doing a few things today.
Quickly got the 5 cabinet views setup and resolved a couple of bugs in the cabinet designer so everything works well before moving back onto the syncing which is mostly done.
I really need to concentrate on the carousel and get the cabinets moving not sure if it will be similar to the last release or if I will actually slide the cabinets but this is something I will be working on soon enough. Sliding might not look good due to the animations so we will see maybe stop the animations prior to a slide but who knows till I do it.

I have uploaded a few samples, mainly to get people into the habit of sharing their own. I was going to integrate a gallery into the site but other things came up, if I get a chance will do something with it.
